Surprising, but poor customer service

I recently ordered a Home by Simon Rogan meal to enjoy dinner at home on a particular night. We selected delivery for that day. It was important that we had our meal that day as I was then away for a period of time. On the day of delivery we were notified by a member of staff at 1pm that the courier had failed to put the meal on their vehicle. We responded within c.20 minutes of being informed, indicating the importance of the timing of the delivery and asking what other solutions they might be able to suggest. We had no response to that message and our subsequent message. The food arrived too late for the meal we had planned and it was a great disappointment. The original error was perhaps one of those things that can happen, but it wasn't an insurmountable challenge, if a bit of effort had been made. It is obviously also disappointing that we had no response to our emails. While the food is excellent, our experience was not what we expected from a service provided by a Michelin starred establishment.
