Excellent products & services

We have been banking with Simplii for over 10 years and very satisfied with their products and services esp. the free everyday banking fee.
An added star is the excellent service when we transferred our mortgage to them. Our advisor always took time to update and guide us every step of the way to a seamless transfer with an excellent rate.

They've frozen my account with my rent…

They've frozen my account with my rent money I can't fing belive this shit. I have zero tolerance for rent being paid TOMMOROW and I apparently have to wait to talk to someone until after it's due.

Thanks for doing your best to contribute to the homeless population simplii. Never use this bank if you can avoid it.

Terrible bank

Will never use this banking service again. Had one awful experience and decided to try again. Bad idea. Just wanted to update some personal information and I was made to feel like a criminal. I have cut up my card! Will never recommend.

A Bank Run By Children?

It feels like I'm dealing with high school students. I tried to complete an application online for a secured line of credit through my account, the form is WRONG, and no one can find the correct form. I've been waiting more than 2 weeks, I've sent 6 emails so far, I've called twice and been put on hold for longer than 45 minutes only to be told that the person who was suppose to call me back was on another call and would call me later, that was 6 business days ago and I have yet to receive a call from ANYONE from Simplii. I emailed again this more (so email #7) to ask when I can expect a call, and now I've been told that my email will be escalated and I should receive a call in 2 to 6 business days. Needless to say, I'm closing this account and NEVER using or recommending this childish bank to anyone.

Annoying

In all honesty will never use this crap, I'm literally writing this just to say I absolutely hate your Twitch Ad. It's annoying and obviously is trying to click bate the younger generation into thinking you're going to spring them into the future. YOU'RE GOING TO GO SO FAST BRO!!! ITS GOING TO BE LIT!!!

How can I talk to an agent about an…

How can I talk to an agent about an issue on my account? Called 5 times and all I reached was the several recorded offer for a free medical alert device. There is no option to bypass it. Totally unacceptable. And then, I get disconnected. Won't even call again. Tomorrow, I will transfer what funds are left to my regular bank, who actually connects clients to an agent. Today, unbelievable!!!

I would give zero if I could

I would give zero if I could. I enrolled in a so called promo interest of 4.25% on my High Interest acct. I invested a huge amount of money, then with drew about half of it 6 weeks late, still leaving in a very large amount. I left that amount in for another 7 weeks. When questioned I was told that when the amount is less than the initial deposit the promo is no longer in effect, so instead of 4.25% I received 0.1%. This was not apparent in the agreement. I may have missed it but when there is a document as long as your arm, in terms you need a law degree to understand. That is certainly not transparency! So I am done with Simplii. They won't see my money again!

No bank card for months!!!

I was a victim of fraud on Nov 22, 2024. Today is Jan 7, 2025 and I STILL DONT HAVE A DEBIT CARD!!! Nothing but apologies, excuses and blaming the holidays and the postal strike. I’m sorry but Nov was not the holidays!!! My card was delivered to the WRONG HOUSE! A second card was sent out on Dec 3 and I just received it today. However it has been cancelled due to me thinking it was lost. No one could find me a tracking number with Purolator!! A third card was sent out on Dec 27. Maybe I’ll get it by March??? A manager named Sarah was supposed to call me with a tracking number for this third card but of course she hasn’t. As for the fraud, I got part of my money back myself. I’ve heard NOTHING back from the fraud department. The operator told me a rush would be put on it. Yeah right. Now to add insult to injury, I opened my app to pay a bill and ALL MY BILLING INFO IS GONE!!! I deleted and reloaded the app but nope it says I have no bills in there. Why haven’t I left and gone to another bank? I’m exhausted from already giving new account information to my 10+ automatic withdrawal payments and my deposits for my paycheques etc. I’ve been with Simplii since it was PC. Pathetic customer service! I’m leaving even though I will have to pay fees at another bank. Maybe I’ll go to Tangerine. Just worried about not having a physical bank where I can actually get a bank card to do my banking!!!

Worst "bank" financial institution

I was a victim of fraud of a large amount of money. Simplii took hours to answer my calls everyday for help, but when I finally reached an agent I had no help with customer services and they told me they couldn't help me reimburse my stolen money. I had opened a dispute and an investigation started, which took almost 2 years to get a result of nothing. They closed it without telling/informing me, and said there was nothing they could do. I am a young college student when this took place, during my first year. Do not trust this bank.

Waste of time

Horrible customer service. They don't look to help or even try and the managers too are poor and rigid at making decisions. At first I had heard of this and now I have experienced it. They just want new clients and don't know how to retain the ones with them. Glad to no longer bank with the them. Its disgusting for those who work there as this too shows how they operate.
Definitely they need a class in customer service etiquette!!

Bottom line is- DO NOT OPEN A USD ACCOUNT WITH SIMPLII. I wish I would have looked at this closer before opening account. What an absolute joke. How easy it is to give them your money and how stupidly difficult they make it to get it out. I ended up ordering a bank draft ( that they charge you for). I am closing the account and considering closing all my simplii accounts. They could easily make it so you could withdraw USD from USD account. This is a really greasy move on Simplii's part. This shouldn't even be legal in my mind.

Dumber than dumb

Dumber than dumb, an online bank that requires me to a. send them a void check before I can deposit new funds, or withdraw my original deposit.
b. requires me to go to a post office with me ID to make a foreign money transfer.
I want an online bank account to account to reduce inconveniences.
I will spend the $500 I originally deposited with the debit card they issued and never use them again!

Worst bank Bull crap I've ever known and after…

Worst BS bank I've ever known and after reading the other reviews I see I'm not alone in my opinion or issues ,floor instance as one person already stated Don't trust the operators and talk to more then one ( really didnr matter mind you but..) they say on thing and do another and like another review They say 4 day hold they hold for nine they say a problems fixed ,next day it's not they act as though it is there money not yours and these weasly litte..( biting tounge till my money freed ) thiis bank actually got snotty because I wasn't pleased with their service and they basically treat you as if doing you a favor looking into your accounts..I one 24hr period I spoke to four individuals and not one did better then other was told a number then 5 min later nope so again back on phone and after awhile csme to an agreement only to find out following day was done nor did next person have anything on file all of them said one thing and would do another.. It's my money not yours I'm out as soon as they decide to release it back to me
