Don't know if you should do it? DO IT!!!

Literally the best experience I've ever had buying a gift for someone. They communicated effectively, EVERY SINGLE DETAIL I put in the description they got on the final product. The whole experience only took 2 weeks from the time I submitted my order to the time it arrived at my door. My sister and her husband LOVED IT! Everyone loved it! If there is a doubt in your mind, forget about it and do it! Worth every penny!

I had a very good experience i had to have some changes to my picture as my dog's sizes where wrong it was all done fast and came out perfectly in the end the communication was great and they was very helpful and did everything I wanted it can out amazing the the whole family love it thank you.

Don't make a mistake!

I had a terrible customer service experience. I am actually afraid of the support at this point, but am posting because if I had read some of these reviews beforehand I would not have used this company.

I'm nearly certain that I selected 5 people for my drawing. I uploaded 5 pictures. I added simple details about clothing.

However, I was only charged for one person. Asked no questions. All my notes were ignored. And was sent a final product that resembled nothing close to what I ordered.

When I started my customer service inquiry, I fully intended to correct the issue. Pay the extra money to have the situation corrected and receive the final artwork.

However...customer service only responds every 4+ days and is extremely rude, bringing out the worst in me as well (I was rude too!). It took weeks for the conversation below to transpire.

You paid $40. That's price for 1 person. Your confirmation email shows you selected 1 person.

You may have uploaded photo of 5 people, but we are not going to give you something you did not pay for. The artists are instructed to follow what YOU select. It is mentioned right on our product page that notes with incorrect selections will be assumed by the artists.

If you believe we deserve negative reviews because of your mistake, then please go ahead and do as you please because there is nothing we can say that will make sense to you.

Also, BBB is a private organization that has no control over any business so that name holds no weight.

I may have selected the incorrect number and am willing to admit that. However, if I were an artist and I noticed 5 photos with details about 5 people, I’m not sure how I would proceed with the order. The order should have been questioned before being created. How did the artist select which photo to use? And why were the notes about details completely ignored?

I will be researching additional ways to write negative reviews after receiving this rude “support” response.

I understand your frustration, but being condescending to me is not going to solve anything.

Our artists work on 300 portraits a day, it is physically not possible for them to stop their work and reach out to find if the customer made a mistake. This not only is inefficient at scale, it delays other customers' orders.

This is stated quite clearly on our website - "Any details or incorrect selections not included in the order notes or selection will be assumed by the artist."

Your $40 is not donation, you have our work in exchange.

The only reason you feel we are being rude is because we are not doing it for free. If writing incorrect negative reviews is going to satisfy you, then well then no one is stopping you. But that is wrong.

The art I received did not follow any of the simple requests I made. Regardless of my error. It was 100% not what I ordered.

You have yet to take any responsibility for an error, and you have made one.

This is the worst customer service experience I’ve ever received.

Further,
I would’ve been more than happy to pay the full price to get my order right. I do not want anything for free.

The service is so poor I researched whether this company was a scam.

Well you did what you said you would, you did leave negative reviews where you could.

Although we have talked to Trustpilot that this review mentions personal information which is pretty harmful for someone to do to someone else over the internet and did not provide an accurate picture and is therefore defamatory, there is a possibility that it is going to stay online forever.

If over a $40 dispute, you wanted to hurt a business, which includes 50+ people not just me that depend on this for their livelihood, by writing hurtful things just because you were angry, well then you have achieved that. Hope that is what you wanted to do.

You have a wonderful holiday season and a very happy new year, because our year is starting not too greatly.

Worst customer service

Worst customer service. Sent them photos for a two person portrait, they sent me just one person in the portrait. Claimed I only paid for 1, need to pay extra for 2. I said fine...and that's the last I ever heard from them. No replies, no refund, nada, 4 days and counting. Stay away.

***EDIT*** I would reduce this to 0 stars if I could. They didn't reply for 4+ days, but did once they saw this review. They refused to allow me to pay for the edits (in accordance with their website FAQ), saying they would no longer work with me...but wouldn't refund me. When I said I'll just let my credit card company handle it, they threatened to report it as fraud and sue me in court! Wow...just wow.

***EDIT #2*** I see the emails that they sent to Maria in the reviews below and it's deja vu, same emails I got. But mine gets even worse. Literally within hours of my disputing the charge with my credit card company, I start seeing fraudulent charges on my credit card from Jamaica. I use that card very rarely and it never leaves my possession. Do I have proof that SimsonifyMe used my card or gave it to other people? No...but that's quite the coincidence that my card which has never been used fraudulently all of a sudden has 5-6 charges literally starting the day I had my dispute with them.

Oh, and in case people think that the emails Maria got are not typical, here's what I got:

This is especially disappointing because there are 2 people working extra hours to deal with thousands of emails during this holiday season, which you called worst customer service. Also, this entire situation was started because you selected the incorrect number of people when you placed the order, nothing from our end.

As you have the right to leave critical reviews, we have the right to not engage because the critical reviews in our opinion are extremely inaccurate and hurtful.

And here's another:

Your attempt to dispute the charge for work already done will be against our refund policy, as you have been informed, and will be dealt with as chargeback fraud. We will simply issue a demand letter to your credit card company and recover the chargeback fee and legal fee in the small claims court. This ends up costing 10x the disputed amount, so you can do that if you please.

Threatening with an inaccurate review is not only inappropriate it is disgusting.

They seem to like that word disgusting a lot, lol.

Bullied and Threatened to remove my review!

You have just given out personal information on a public forum.

Sure, we can make those revisions but amending reviews while work is in progress is just not an appropriate way to communicate with a business.

Thank you for getting back to me - I didn't realise I was dropping down the queue everytime I emailed - I do appreciate you are busy and I also appreciate your getting back to me.
I'd like the portrait revised please - my youngest nephew (the one drawn with the shrivelled arm ) is a huge Simpson fan - hence the reason I ordered your product. I've attached the pictures that I included in the original order.
I'd like my niece to be made more feminine please and less like Nelson on steroids- her hair is the same colour as her mum's and shoulder length.
I'd like my nephew to have two arms please not 1.5 and his expression to be the same as the one in the red cap - as per my original order.
I'd also appreciate if you could resize my brother-in-law's head as it seems out of proportion and improve the colour and quality of the Christmas jumpers.

You are getting a delayed response because every time you email us your request goes down the queue and the more difficult it becomes to reply.

I also see that you have left a negative review on Trustpilot as well.

Did you want to make a revision? because it seems like you are done with your portrait given that you have already left a review for something that is still in process.

I do apologize for the delayed response, but no we are not ignoring you we are actually working over time to clear 1000+ emails every day among 2 people.

So I received an email from the company to say there was a delay in responding to me as everytime I emailed I knocked myself down to the bottom of the queue!
They have asked if I'd like the picture amended (which I do because they don't offer refunds) and I have replied.
They also acknowledged the 1 star review that I posted on Trustpilot. So I have amended my 1 Star Review to 2 Stars simply because they replied! I am now hoping that the portrait will be amended as per the original order and I'll be able to give it as a gift.
I'll keep you all updated on my progress and thank you to Trustpilot for providing this platform for free, independent and honest reviews.

So disappointed with the picture provided. Made my pretty niece look like Nelson on steroids and drew my nephew with a shrivelled left arm. Over £100 paid for a picture I can't use as it is so bad! Have sent numerous emails over the last few days and have also sent messages via the website and Facebook but they haven't been answered. Really gutted to be honest!

Very Satisifed!

I got worried after placing my order and then saw this page but i am happy to say that my experience was fantastic. Quick turnaround for the digital artwork, and then i was having trouble tracking my item so folllowed up - they emailed me back within 24 hours advising they would assist it didn't arrive but it turned up the next morning absolutely perfectly. I had great and fast communicaiton and an excellent product. Very happy!

This is my second Simpsonifyme portrait. It is amazing. This is an original wedding present that I'm sure the couple will love. They personalized it just as I asked and it came on canvas ready to hang. I am very happy!
