Once my problem was in the hands of Simpson Millar, I received prompt responses each time I contacted them and the case was dealt with all the way through by one person. A matter which had crept on with various agencies for two and a half years was brought to a successful conclusion in seven months. I am very happy overall with the service I received which is as good as any I have ever experienced with any legal team. I cannot comment on the financial aspect of this matter as this case was settled under my insurance, but I would not have any hesitation in recommending this firm in all other respects.

Georgina Reid was absolutely fantastic. She worked on my case for two years, and from day one I felt confident that we would achieve a successful outcome. She was knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly at every stage of the process. She was incredibly supportive and, most importantly, showed genuine compassion throughout. I can't thank her enough for everything she did. I would highly recommend both Georgina Reid and Simpson Millar to anyone in need of medical negligence legal support.

My experience of Simpson Millar is of initial inquiry hoping to be accepted as a client. I called and spent about 40 minutes answering questions on the telephone via a person obviously designed to filter out the work they didn't want.
My case was pretty straight forward. I'd already done all the investigation work, already wrote the formal letters, posted them ,recorded, collated all evidence, labelled it and the organisation I was challenging literally admitted negligence in writing after receiving my complaint and feedback all of which had written evidence (no hearsay). However, the organisation would not discuss any type of compensation or renumeration of any kind hence asking for help from Simpson Millar.
I was told somebody would get in touch and I was asked if I wanted to try for legal aid. Obviously, the answer is yes to that question but I was concerned this might be a "filter out" answer if yes (was it?)
Anyway, I waited about a week and called in.
They apologised that nobody had got back to me and I was told somebody would call me back. So I waited about a week and a half and called in again.
This time, I am told that they can't accept my case because of "full capacity". Did anyone else get that as the reason?
The joke is that, if they were at full capacity they could have told me that on the phone before or straight after spending 45 minutes asking me questions and knowing exactly what category I fitted into.
They never wanted to read the letter I sent to the organisation, they never wanted to see the letter the organisation wrote that admitted negligence - they had no context of who I was, never met me, never followed up with anything - just "Full capacity - sorry we took nearly 3 weeks to tell you that - goodbye".
Not a good sign - especially not when they have a whole front desk full of people managing all of those calls coming in.
