Very poor experience

Very poor experience. Had a manual removal of malware from my site. Said only a few days, continued to give false promises and conflicting excuses for the next 6 weeks saying it takes hours a day to scan the thousands of files and itl be another week, then another week. Then finally said contact my host provider after me chasing them, did this who brought the site back up only for it to still be infected! Back to square one, then finally they sorted it after all that within 2 hours! imo, nonence and lies for the last 6 weeks. Always were trying to worm their way out on chat support with excuses that conflicted the next support person's reason, along with just quite obvious lies sometimes, in my opinion. What an ordeal, avoid this company.

I would give this company negative…

I would give this company negative stars if I could. The only way to cancel your account is by calling and speaking to a human. I have been trying to call them for the past 3 months to cancel my account to no avail. Finally got to speak to someone and was told that I would have to pay an early termination fee. WHAT??? I was not aware that my contract auto renewed from signing up in 2019, Shady, bad business practices. Very disappointed in this company and would not recommend to anyone.
EVER!

Now I'm stuck paying for a service that I DO NOT WANT.

All of our customers go through a very detailed process when purchasing services. They sign a contract described to them in length which includes our auto-renew process. According to our terms and cancellation policy, customers must call 30 days prior to the end of their contract to cancel without additional fees. The customer contacted us in month 7 of a 12 month term and requested to cancel the services. In an effort to help the customer, we provided a few options and worked with them to address the request. We consider this matter resolved and regret any frustration the customer experienced.

Sleazy business practices

Sleazy business practices! Stay away. I don't remember signing up and when I tried to cancel I was told I had to CALL and speak to a human.
I tried to log in to my account to cancel and by agreeing to the terms of services I unwittingly committed to another 12 months and that I would have to pay early cancellation fees if I wanted to cancel. Fortunately, they did agree to wave those fees after a phone call, but man, how sleazy!

SiteLock is a scam site that will steal your credit card information

SiteLock is nothing more than a scam.
I subscribed over a year ago, their services offered no benefit to my website. I had a virus and they urged me to clear it with their “protective services”
Other than that, they were useless. I took their code off my site within two months, yet they still emailed notifications with this bogus messages: “During a recent SiteLock security scan of your website, platform vulnerabilities were detected that could jeopardize the security of your site. Please see the detailed results of this scan.”
I removed the SiteLock software from my website one month after trying it;
this place still tries to send the illusion that they are doing something useful. they can’t scan if they are no longer programmed in your website.
This company is a complete scam that does nothing more than steal your money.
I requested a cancellation in November 2020, they still charged my card, when I inquired about the charge, they said that they will not refund because I didn’t notify them with 30 days. I have the email, they tried to say that I agreed to their terms to renew.
No concern for customers, no concern for providing a quality service. They use scare tactics to sell you a useless scanning service that is provided by better quality competitors. Once they have your credit card information, it’s a free paycheck for them.
Beware this SiteLock. They charged me $300 for nothing and refuse to give it back or make things right.
Bad business practices like this is the reason why it’s difficult to trust the legitimate companies.
I am going to post a warning about SiteLock on every review site possible.

Been trying to cancel for 3 years

in 2018 I put in a cancellation request for sidelock, in order to cancel you have to call an international phone line, very expensive from UK or they will call you.

I've put in around 20 or 30 requests, emails live chats, an none has called me yet, it's 3 years later now and they have increased the price from $15 to $30.

I'm speaking with live chat as I write this and they are claiming they are calling me but it's not working. Insanely frustrating company to deal with.

Why not a simple online cancellation? I purchased online with not phone call, so why cant we cancel the same way.

I've spent around 2 hours talking to support on live chat today

Sitelock has some of the worst customer…

Sitelock has some of the worst customer support!!!

About two weeks ago after one of our testing servers that host a third party script, it got hacked.

So our clients asked us to upgrade the security.

By accident we took a Sitelock package via their website and only after doing so was advised by our hosting company that they can provide the sitelock via our hosting dashboard and offer better packages.

So within less than 60 minutes after the Sitelock account was opened we requested the subscription to be cancelled and asked for a refund.

We did so as we wanted to take a upgraded Sitelock package via the hosting company.

Plus if all went well, consider to have done so for all 10 server we now have to manage.

So confirmation was given that to finalize cancellation their Billing Department would need to phone to confirm our request.

We tried contacting their Billing Department via their support system and they are never available.

Had to speak to their technical support staff twice already who always said they did a manual request to Billings Department.

To date still nothing.

They do not care about their customers.

If this is how they treat current customers then I do not think we should use them in future.

DO NOT USE THEM! They are very overpriced. I was essentially told that what I had been paying for for over a year was outdated, they raised the price of the "new" plan, and I was told by sales and my account manager that there was no way they could lower the price. I spend days looking for a new provider, and installing it - and when I call to cancel my sitelock plan billing tells me that I can have the same price after all (argh!). I still wanted to cancel based on this run around, but then they say that I still have 9 months left in our agreement and cant cancel (even though I specifically asked about the ability to terminate my plan with no repercussions because of the price increase, before I switched). Billing then tells me, the account manager told me incorrect information and that I should have called and asked billing. How am I to know that I have to contact every department for the correct info? How can a company function like this? Stay away! In the end, I got them to cancel my plan, but they wouldn't refund the charge that just charged this morning.
**UPDATE - As soon as I left this comment, within an hour they gave me a refund for the charge from that day....which I was told over and over again was IMPOSSIBLE. Yet another lie from this company.

They make it difficult to cancel

When I no longer needed the subscription, I cancelled it in my account. However, they tell you that you must speak with someone before cancelling. I waited 6 days, and received no call from anyone. So on the day before I was scheduled to be billed again I called, emailed, and started a chat with support and received no response. Then they proceeded to bill me. Incredibly frustrating and disappointing

My site got suspended from a malware…

My site got suspended from a malware attack. I was told by site5 to take services from sitelock.com and for five days I am trying to take the paid service and that's not happening. Their stupid chat system doesn't respond. Today somebody told their sales team need to review and clear the issue for me to sign up on sitelock. How ridiculous is that customer need to wait for five days.

SiteLock offers a terrible service

SiteLock offers a terrible service. I have had several virus problems on my account, and each Time I contact support they say they cannot get ahold of me and can't fix the problem. I have spoken to them on the phone to trouble shoot so how can they not get ahold of me. Then when you try to cancel you lose all the money you paid if paying yearly. Illegal. DONT USE THEM.

Last month my website was attacked by…

Last month my website was attacked by heavy ddos hacker and I chated with one of the agent in sitelock. He said to me to take a 200$ plan which is not on the subscription list on the website. I took the plan and move forwarded to next step... From the second step itself they started annoying and they do not help me to complete the installation and I decided to cancel the subscription and tried to cancel it via the dashboard. I received a mail that, one of the sitelock agent will contact me but no one does. This is the second month and they charged me for my canceled subscription.. When I asked for help in the chat, the agent said he can't help me. I recommends everyone to stay away from this site.

I HAVE STILL MALWARE ON MY WEBSITE

Almost two month ago have contacted Sitelock because my website was hacked and there was malware on the site. After consulting they offered me a package for 400 dollar which include removal of existing malware infection and access to team of cybersecurity experts for more complex repairs.
During pas 2 month I have made more than 10 tickets called them many times and every single time they tell me the website is malware free and you site is not black listed by search engines. I doubt if it is a template email that they sent to me every time. However, they wasted my time 2 month and I have even pointed them the infection codes. And what is their argument that WE DON’T SEE THAT. Yeah if you are a cyber security you know that some malware are geolocation active and if you are a tech company which does not use any software like Skype in which I can show you what I am seeing you are out of the date or you don’t want to see the issue. Anyway, I sent provided them via email also many times screenshots but nope I doesn’t help.

I HAVE STILL MALWARE ON MY WEBSITE and cyber criminals trying to steal visitors credit card and bank account information.

After all, when i decide to cancel this service since it didn’t do anything for me they say it is not possible and you have purchased it for one year and you don’t receive any dollar back.

I recommend no body to buy a service from them and it is not a fair business Sitelock.

Lost my business this year

Lost my business this year, so canceled my website renewal with bluehost . Sitelock just charged me 86 dollards for next year on a website I haven't got anymore. Impossible to get hold of them. US number that I can't afford. My renewal day is not until the 12th of September. They called themselves a tech company!!!!!
No Effing email that I can find. FUMING!!!!!!!!

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM SITE LOCK! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY THEY REFUSE TO REFUND!!!!! Tried to cancel 2 months ago, their customer service hours are 8-5 M-F, and if you have a hectic schedule that does not coincide with their schedule you can't reach them. They said they emailed to confirm cancellations NEVER received the email. Then they charged me for a service I NO LONGER WANTED even after emailing them to cancel and changing my account settings to CANCEL. I called 2 times only to be told the "Billing Dept was closed". Called on my lunch hour only to find out they automatically charged me and refuse to refund!! Very poor company policies and poor customer service hours!!!!! I would give them 0 stars

No customer service, are not replying to any messages

I've been trying to contact Sitelock for 2 months now to resolve an issue. They haven't replied to any emails. I tried through social media but they aren't replying there either.
