If you’re looking for a partner who understands media and delivers results, I highly recommend working with Adriaan and the Sitetrail team

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Sitetrail and Adriaan on two separate occasions, and each time the experience has been excellent. Adriaan was thoughtful, professional, and committed to getting the job done right.

While it was sometimes a bit tricky to get on his calendar, he always made time for my calls when it mattered. And his support throughout the process made a real difference. The communication was clear, the execution was smooth, and the outcome exceeded my expectations.

Amazing customer service

Amazing customer service! I have been blown away by their support. We submitted 30+ articles with them and after a day already got updates for them all. Adriaan has been super helpful too, by giving us additional services we could offer to our clients! Highly recommend them to anyone!

Worth the money! I asked several questions at the…

At the beginning, I asked several questions by email. To my surprise, rather than going through the tedious and time consuming process of back and forth emails, Sitetrail phoned me directly to help expedite the process. Everything was explained and settled very quickly. They walked me through the process and, subsequently, further email correspondence was answered without delay. They have very skilled writers and the release was published by many reputable media outlets. Great exposure. I'm very satisfied.

If Zero Stars were possible...it gets worse

If Zero Stars were possible...

Uncooperative, Rude, Not Customer Facing in anyway, can't talk to anyone by phone, you must either have NO questions about setting up and sending your first press release or be prepared to work it out in 10 minutes, WITH an appointment, Period. Terrible customer service emails commenced, zero attempt to understand and insulted our firm, made several wrong assumptions and didn't hear what I was trying to ask. 9 other companies were contacted and all were super easy to work with and eager to win our business - not these guys.

Responding back on 7/18 to their response below: Not only can they not spell my name correctly, they have started to personally attack me now, calling and writing when I asked them not to, so I've had to report and block them. . Their points below are absolutely, completely false - not one person, at any point - asked to clear this through the 3rd party client. I guess its a CYA attempt. I have all the written transcripts of the craziness and have nothing to defend myself from. BEWARE.

My last time addressing this. I understand all of what they are writing about. Because i'd compared several other companies in the same press release distribution field, I was able to have a conversation where I could offer every detail any company has needed, and every other company has been pleasant, professional, offering information needed to earn our business. This company refused any conversation about the needs this unique client has and therefore could not possibly understand the issues and wasn't interested in giving me any time to spell them out. If you want to be treated like a number, want a company to abuse your verbally, insult your client, and act like they have no idea what an agency does for a client, and then be harassed, this is the firm to go with. The owner himself has been so nasty and is putting out TOTALLY wrong details of our interactions. Again, I have the transcripts, asked only to be able to discuss pertinent details, and refused to be bullied. So they are now putting out misleading and plain out lies on social media channels and everywhere else. At this point, I'm considering getting our corporate attorney to address this. Please know I have nothing to hide and have not had a nasty review in 15 years of business. I don't want the drama or negativity in dealing with anyone like this in my life. My request for an additional 10 minutes discussion time caused all of this barrage. 7/19/23, Ridiculous.

We are a platform that handles incredibly sensitive information at times. We shall use this opportunity to point out that preventing fake news along with data protection and confidentiality, forms the cornerstone of the ethics required in our industry.

When another agency claims to be inquiring on behalf of a customer but cannot verify the purchase details, we would first request that the client authorize us to discuss their case with a 3rd party. This is precisely what happened here with Deanna Mimms AKA "MarketDone". We declined the virtual meeting and requested verification of the case via email - which Deanna was unable to do. We were simply not authorized by the client to discuss their case with her.

She also wanted to fast-track the approval of an author profile without a valid Linkedin profile or anything to suggest they are real. This is a major red flag we need to guard against to ensure the authenticity of the news.

A few things prospective clients need to know about us:
1. We choose carefully who we associate with and what details we reveal about our clients. No phone call or other incentive will convince us to breach client confidentiality.
2. We will not risk the relationships with our media partners by authorizing fake profiles just for the sake of a few pennies or a "5 star review" for doing so.

In an industry where trust is an important currency, we don't mind leaving those behind who show no regard for this.

[Edited] AVOID AVOID! A threatening bully AND a PR company with terrible customer communication skills

The main reason for this review is based on how this company talks to their customers. We hired them, sent them our press release and asked them not to make edits. They said okay no problem and then made edits. That was not the big deal. The big deal was that in a series of emails over the next 24 hours, they talked down to us (told us we clearly have no experience - we do); told us we were hostile and to change our tune; told us we clearly have internal issues; told us we were making excuses.

I will be the first to admit that the miscommunication was on both sides. However the important part is how someone responds when a customer is not happy. I want to work with people who try to understand where the other side is coming from. As a business owner myself, I would never ever speak to my worst customer using that language. Very ironic that this is a PR company. (Also, the few edits they did make showed that they did not understand our industry, but that is minor IMO)

After my Trustpilot review went live, the CEO of the company wrote me a threatening email telling me to take down my review "or else". I said, or else what, and I refused.

He sent me a 1 word response: scumbag.

Then, April 29th, 2023, he sent me another threatening email with the subject line "Your reputation on Facebook & Google Maps". This email said I better remove this review or "Sadly, due to your actions, I must say: two (or A LOT MORE can play that game) - so you might want to call a truce on that by removing that false review, otherwise our response will have irreversible consequences."

He also left a fake Facebook review for my other company.

Thankfully Trustpilot has support for consumers who are being bullied and threatened (I guess I'm not the first) so I am confident that this will be dealt with appropriately.

The conversation that ensued unfortunately took a difficult turn. As the CEO, my primary responsibility is to foster a respectful environment for all team members. When I felt that respect was strained, I intervened, not out of malice, but in the interest of maintaining professional decorum for the sake of our valuable team members who worked out of hours to try and help you.

At "Travel Beyond The Obvious", your CEOs apology was genuinely appreciated and it reminded us that we all are human beings, prone to moments of stress and imperfection. It's through understanding and patience that we navigate these challenging times.

However, it seems a subsequent interaction with a member of your team didn't mirror this sentiment, which I regret. It appeared as though the previous apology had been set aside, pushing us towards a more challenging situation.

We have been fortunate to serve over 6000 happy clients. This record brings us immense joy, but it also teaches us that it's nearly impossible to meet every individual's expectations perfectly. And that's a reality we are constantly learning from.

If you need a top-notch bespoke media company to assist you, this is who you should choose! Communication was effortless and some of the project turnarounds were in less than 24 hours. I can honestly say that every job with the Sitetrail team has been better than expected, and I will definitely be rehiring them again!
