Was looking forward to a relaxing dining experience but it was more like a busy American diner.. very rushed and noisy, we were in the middle of the restaurant with a tiny table and place was packed.... See more

No tables allowed for more than 6 people!
Could not believe Six by Nico will not let you book a table for more than 6 people! I wanted to book a table for 8 people only to be told this was not possible. We could have had 2 tables of 4 close to each other but not next to each other! What difference does this it make? We have now taken our business elsewhere to a restaraunt that gives better customer service. This is a ridiculous policy!
Superb Service and Quality Food
The service provided by the waitstaff was second-to-none. The knowledge of each dish and wine pairing never fails to blow me away.
Portion sizes could be bigger, but of course it is a tasting menu. The Chippie wasn't my first menu and it certainly won't be the last!
Not falling for this scam again
Not falling for this scam again. Went as a single person, and felt utterly humiliated. The previous advert offer quoted 33£ for 6 course tasting menu with aperitif. Booked, turned up, thought that I'd double check the price with waitress. She said she knows nothing about such offer, that cheapest they could do is 45£ for a single person. I said, that's not what Facebook advert says and it doesn't say that 2 people minimum booking. So 3 times the waitress came back and forth quoting different price. I think they make the price up as they go. Then the manager came and said as a good will gesture they'd take the aperitif cocktail price off the bill. That's the best they can do but they won't give you price that's advertised if you're a single person. So I ended up paying over 60 quid for their 6 course+ aperitif menu + I had two margaritas ordered whilst I wait. Never ever again will I set my foot in there. Good job I had more money on me, if I didn't and only turned up with cash for the advertised price, I would feel even more mortified than humiliating feeling that I had to experience!
The elephant in the room
These restaurants typify the latest fads here today and gone tomorrow, “The Emperor’s New Clothes” a widely acclaimed and admired eating experience, but where you question whether what they have created is of any value. It was a Bansky Utopian eating experience at their Aberdeen restaurant. We walked in and a couple of bar staff twindle their fingers and ignored us. The place has an atmosphere such as the moon. It was loud, bright and flashy, with mirrored walls, cheap art, fake plastic plants and fake slippery parquet flooring.
We sat down next to a table of loud and inebriated women and staff frantically pulling apart the furniture for nearly an hour, to our surprise, looking for someone's lost mobile. The food was tiny overpriced tasty morsels such as supermarket-free food samples fitting for Tom Thumb but not enough for a grown man. Our waiter did his best amidst many bored-looking and cool-ish pretentious waiting staff. I got plastered by the many wines served and made the most of an unforgettable birthday night out. I couldn't help thinking we were taken advantage of and left with our wallet lighter.
Utterly amazing from start to finish
Utterly amazing from start to finish. Service, food, wine! Martin, our waiter, could not have been more accommodating, friendly or helpful. Food exceeded expectations on every level. We shall be back!
Appalling customer service
The 2nd time we’ve been to Sixbynico, first time was super. However this time the meal was served at brake neck speed, the explanations of each course hurriedly and incomprehensibly explained. The cocktails were not made with any finesse, tasted sour and unpalatable.
Despite discretely complaining about the cocktails and service at the meal. Writing to the company the next day, following up with a phone call 2 weeks later…
SixbyNico haven’t had the decency to reply. Such appalling customer service has left me no option than to review my experience.

Six by Nico Belfast - fantastic
Second visit to six by nico in Belfast. This time was for the chippie menu and it did not disappoint. The food was fantastic and service was top class. Everything seemed so seemless and although at our table we had various dietary requirements, everything was remembered and correct. Cannot wait to visit again and experience another night of great food and service

Ordered gift boxes with vouchers for Christmas, 3 of them totalling £210 during Black Friday week, with a guarantee of delivery by 23rd. We received the boxes today 31.12.22. Had to give our family A4 b&w print outs instead and they also messed the vouchers codes around. No response to our last 3 emails. They marketed the gift voucher boxes and perfect Xmas gifts and we were left with the ugly piece of paper. Never again.

Tenth wedding anniversary in liverpool
Visited Sixbynico, Liverpool for out tenth wedding anniversary. The food and wine matching was lovely, and we received a complimentary glass of prosecco. The service from Stevie was delightful and he brought some humour to our experience, as well as recommending a fabulous cocktail bar nearby.
Our experience was only dampened by learning after our visit that the restaurant was only 3 star for hygiene. There really is no excuse for poor hygiene and so a 4 or 5 star should be standard.
However, a lovely meal and experience. Thank you.

Not as enjoyable a visit as I had 3 years ago. A more rushed experience and not worth the money.

This was our second visit to six by nico Liverpool and we didn't think it could get any better than the first but it was, they went above and beyond to make our wedding anniversary extra special, the food is amazing, a burst of flavour in every mouthful, massive ‘Thank you’ to Kiera and our waitress Amy, you made our day complete, we cannot wait to come back to try your next theme
Amazing food and wine
This was my second time at Six by Nico Manchester and the food and wine pairings were once again excellent for both quality and value. The service however was disappointing mainly because it felt like we were on a production line and had 4 of the 6 courses served within the hour. Our main server was excellent and knowledgeable but two others less so - one young woman was in such hurry she knocked a glass of wine over, and a second young man, in even more of a rush delivering the smoked mussels, told the main server: ‘you can explain it to them’. To finish on a positive note, the food, wine and presentation were amazing and I have booked a third time.
Ancient Rome MEAL TASTING and WINE MATCHING....Lucky Romans I thought!
What a wonderful meal, in a wonderful setting, with the BEST staff...
Had a great tasting menu meal...more than enough and Wine sampling on Saturday Night. At Canary Wharf.
Easy booking, and wonderful greeting on arrival. We were taken with the young vibrant staff who were so pleased to see you even after a long day. Seated and comfy in a lovely atmosphere, we were looked after from start to finish. The tasting menu ranged from pasta to truffle from fish to pork and heavenly dessert. There were a couple of allergies and also a vegan diner among us, but it wasn't and shouldn't be a problem. Each server was friendly warm and knowledgeable about each dish, after 3 hours we felt we knew a little about each of them probably 7-8 in total.Accents from all over UK and beyond this young but super knowledgeable staff were happy and eager to please. They knew their food and wine with just enough information not to intimidate or bore you..Seated near the open kitchen we could see the 7 -8 chefs doing their bit in a calm happy way, it was a pleasure to go there. We will return fo sure. Among the delights we had Crispy Pasta, Black Pepper & Parmesan Royale.White Asparagus, Crispy Duck Egg, Hazelnut & Brown Butter...Roasted Hispi Cabbage, Cavatelli Pasta, Pickled Girolle Mushrooms, Truffle Foam & Pecorino Sardo...Sole, Smoked Mussel, Lovage, White Turnip & Mussel Cream...Risotto of Parsley, Garlic and Porcini Mushrooms...and Honey Parfait, Ricotta Cheese, Preserved Quince, Fizzy Muscat Grapes, Pear & Citrus...The matching wines were amazing and tantalising. THANK YOU FOR A SPECIAL EVENING.
Megan is great
Had an order messed up before Christmas. I was of course really dissapointed, but Home By Nico went above and beyond to resolve the issue. Megan was a star in helping me reorder and sort out the different addresses
Hugely disappointing
We had a very disappointing experience. We were eating a course when the next arrived then the next course was 20 minurtes later. Most of the courses were cold. We had to remind them of drinks orders. Were asked to pay the bill which we already paid then were given our coats while still finishing our drinks. I'm disappointed to say this but hugely overated.
Everything was cold
Everything was cold. We have been trying to get to this restaurant for months, having to book then re-book reservations due to COVID-19 lockdowns. We eventually got a booking for a lunch spot today. The restaurant in Glasgow is tiny and very noisy. The six courses were all very cold regardless of whether they were meant to be cold or not. Seriously overrated from my perspective. Additionally, we were served the next course while we were still eating the previous course. Like they were in a rush to get rid of you. I personally wouldn’t recommend.
Such a fantastic dining experience
Such a fantastic dining experience. The food is incredible and the staff are brilliant! We had the most wonderful time.
