Rented a car from Sixt / Shlomo Herzliya for exactly 2 days. During pickup, the employee clearly told me returning the car before 12 PM was fine. I arrived back around 11:10 AM and have times... See more

Use someone else if you can.
We collected in Beersheva and dropped off in Eilat.
In Beersheva the sales woman was unfriendly and uninterested. She wanted to charge us $12.50 a day to use our credit card of choice (the one we used to pay for the car). We had to use a different credit card to avoid this charge. They also charged $24 a day for full insurance (Albar Europcar only charge $10 a day).
The car stank and was filthy inside. All the vents were clogged and dirty, full of dust. We thought it was a really old car but it had lots of features that suggested it was a new car. Just neglected and filthy. No windscreen wash in the tank either.
We weren’t given any handover or advice about the car. We were just told it was in the parking lot and to find someone in the garage if we had questions. We didn’t even know how to start the car.
Dropping was slightly better, the guy we did handover with was easier to understand and gave us a ride back to our hotel, only a mile but it was appreciated.
A Terrible Experience
Never had such a terrible experience in renting a car.
1. They have DOWNGRADED me, as they did for another couple at next counter, with a small refund.
2. The car had a breakdown after a day, empty radiator because of a leakage in a pipe. I've waited 4 hours (!) before the mechanic arrived, with my daughter and 1.5 years granddaughter with me.
The mechanics told me that a previous fix wasn't done well and made a temporary fix.
I had to drive the next day for more than an hour to their garage to get a final fix (that took another hour), again with my daughter and granddaughter on board.
In total I wasted almost a day of my trip because they provided me with a defected car, without any compensation.
KEEP AWAY FROM SHLOMO SIXT IN ISRAEL!
Garbage company do not use my quote…
Garbage company do not use my quote start with $670 I pay $1295 unbelievable horrible customer service took me two hours to get to the Location from the airport

Hired a car for one month from Sixt
Hired a car for one month from Sixt. Left their office and drove 5 kilometers. Got TWO warning messages, one for brakes, the other for cruise system. Office was closed so called customer service who were very unhelpful. Went to office next day and change cars. Drove 10 kilometers and got low tyre pressure message. Pumped them up at garage. Two of four tyres were 1.5 bar instead of 2.4 bar. Kept the car but after one week same thing again. Sixt weren't interested, saying nails in tyres and I'm not covered for tyres and even if happens immediately after leaving office it's my responsibility. I closed contract immediately and went to another company. I won't be going back to Sixt Israel again.
Paid a deposit
Paid a deposit, never rented a car, still waiting for them to refund me. Not a big sum of money, but shows their mode of operations.
Beware
Beware! We used Shlomo Sixt in Eilat, February 2020. They charged us for 3 days of rental, although we had a car just for two days. Just before flight back, we went there and the lady confirmed it is a mistake and promised to send new invoice and money back within a couple of weeks. Unfortunately no invoice or money or even a simple reply!
Really bad experience with customer service, if you can try to rent with a different company.

Shlomo Sixt
Shlomo Sixt - scammers!
Once they get access to your credit card it could be charged without any invoice and real reason.
I was charged for 25$ after 3 months after car rental.
After ask for invoice they sent something like "Parking Report xxx Invoice yyy" on Hebrew.
They pretended that I got enough information and tried to make me feel as a stupid customer during 10 days.
After 10 days of email-negotiations they finally managed to send me details about what exactly I was charged for.
And what information I got: it is payment ($25) for their handling of the payment for some parking.
This parking occured in the moment of dropping off the car (right at the moment I gave a car back to their employee).
So I had to pay for the parking of a car after its rental period.
And what is the most terrifying: also I was informed that I still must pay for this parking extra 500 NIS (~145$).
Before writing this feedback I tried to contact them but what I got is only 3 days of ignoring!
Conclusion: car rent here is very risky, avoid this scam company or close your credit card afterwards.
This company is dishonest
This company is dishonest. I reserved a car from Jerusalem to Eilat. The reservation included a one-way fee. When I picked up the car they added a $120 car return fee. When I complained the agent spent 15 minutes looking through the fine print on my contract to find a justification for the fee. She couldn’t find any but refused to remove the charge. They also had a $30 fee to drop the car at the Eilat airport. I changed the reservation to drop the car at the Eilat city location and they removed the fee. I then dropped the car in the city and they charged me the fee for the airport drop off.
The reservation was for $160. They charged me $300. Do not trust this company.
not honest no one to talk to
not honest no one to talk to , no email to reply to charges you without validating the charges until you dispute charges

Iam a regular costumer of sixt shlomo in israel at tel aviv airport i wanne say that they do everything in there power to fix you the ride you want i rented like 6 times this year and is olso perfectly in order nothing to complain most of the times they will hand over a brand new car! In the categorie you order!!
Beware! They will charge you for existing damages
Horrible experience with the return of the car. There was no new damage found during drop-of, however they charged our credit card for the damage allegedly found after we left. They sent us an unsigned Acknowledgement of responsibility damage report and claimed we acknowledged the damage. We have a picture proving the damage was there upon pick up of the car, and they keep ignoring it. The communication is frustrating - their email boxes are always full and emails don't go through. People answering the phone have neither knowledge, nor authority to deal with problems. We would never rent a car with Sixt again.
bad customer service
renting process was easy - but terrible customer service - extremely difficult to reach the staff by phone or e-mail
I was told I could get a tax refund if I sent them an e-mail after the weekend with a picture of some document. I sent the e-mail, as requested, and was then told I couldn't receive a tax refund because the contract was already "closed."
Zero stars, terrible customer service - AVOID!!
I am still reeling from the horrible, awful, stressful experience picking up our car from ShlomoSixt in Jerusalem (on King David St) this morning.
Although we had reserved the car in advance, picking it up took 90 (!) minutes - totally unacceptable! After about an hour we made a comment to the lady at reception, who had the cheek to blame US (apparently we should arrive earlier next time).
When we went to the garage to pick up the car - now nearly 80 minutes after we had arrived - I asked the attendant to pls finish up everything quickly as we were now late for an appointment. I have never in all my life seen anything like his reaction. He started yelling at me (in Hebrew) that he doesn't work for me, and threw a hissy fit. He took pictures of all the dents and scratches on the car without saying another word to us, but stomped around the car aggressively, stuck something on the roof and then when he turned around to leave, SPAT on the floor (!). When we came to leave the parking lot, we couldn't find the ticket. Eventually it turned out that the thing he had slammed onto the roof was the ticket, which he had not explained to us and which we had to struggle to get off the roof.
To add insult to injury, the car was in a disgraceful state - absolutely full of scratches, nicks and bumps and dirty in the trunk. It is not fit to be used as a hire car.
This was truly the worst customer service I have experienced anywhere, any time. We are first time customers and will NOT be using ShlomoSixt again. Nor should you.
Very bad customer service
Very bad customer service. The car didn't start at the morning after rental, customer service didn't refund the missing hour it took for an alternative car to arrive. They don't return phone calls, and they threaten you with law suit if you leave them bad reviews...
This company is the worst rent a car…
This company is the worst rent a car that i ever used they are a bunch of liars. their cars are destroyed, dirty that you feel you are in a garbage can. In September 16th a rent a car in the office in Herzelyia Pituah , the clerk there Noam Babagani was the one that "Help me" , he was lying to me from the beginning ,I made the full coverage insurance , he told me With that I don't have anything to worry. anyway he block $ 1500 dollars from my credit card when i realized that I went back to the office to ask. for a receipt wich they refused to give me . I call the police , but they were making fun of the police. I recommend anybody to never rent a car from this company.
Good SixT experience.
Last month, I rented a car for 2 weeks from SixT Shlomo. The reservation was booked through Expedia.
Pickup was fast and easy. I was out by the car within 10 minutes.
The Toyota Yaris had 1600km on it and was in pristine condition. I had no problems with the car.
Dropoff was likewise quick and hassle-free. I waited a few minutes extra for the confirmation of no damage to the car.
Staff was great during both pickup and dropoff.
False advertising bad service really bad cars
We reserved a big 7 seater plus space for 2 big luggages and 2 small ones at a huge rate per day - 700euros for 4 days.
Instead they brought us a car as small as a fiat punto. You could not fit even 5 people in as there were like 2 cm in between driver seat and so called middle seats.
As we refused it they made us take a 10 year old 8 seater van which they claimed was a 9 seater, rusty, smelly, dirty inside, dusty inside, trembled all the way, consumed a ton of gas and the clutch gave up after 50km!
We asked to cancel the next 2 days and for them to take the broken van. They refused, keeping us blocked in the city unless we accept a different supposed 7 seater.
At 10pm finally came, and brought us another 4 years old mini car in which u had to keep your legs to your chest and feet off the ground to fit in it, cuz they stuck instead of luggage space 2 seats in which you couldn't sit at all which block the middle seats from moving backwards enough.
The guy who picked it up, an israeli arab, refused to give us papers that he took the broken down car.
Now we have to drive all the way to renting place to return this mini car and see if they will cancel the contract for the last 2 days. We are unable now to go on a trip which we take every year when we come visit our family here. It is disgraceful!
NEVER renting from them again.
After 6 years of being satisfied, they have totally dropped their quality of service and quality of car fleet.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THEM!
