Scam

Scam, no response reached out so many times. They simply don't send all items. It's a roll of the dice if you receive any items. Customer service never responds.

Never order from this site

Never order from this site. You may think you will be one of the lucky ones but you won't. You will get burned. I've ordered from this website for the past ten years and dismissed all the negative reviews until it happened to me. It WILL happen to you too. I was a loyal customer and it didn't matter. They still decide to steal $250 from me.

I placed two separate orders for monthly legacies in September and October of 2025. The October order was shipped November 18th and delivered November 22nd. I thought nothing of it as was used to long wait times so I assumed the September order would eventually be shipped as well.

Eventually, January rolls around with no shipping updates or emails. I check my account on their website to see that it was "shipped" on December 17th and was listed as "On the way" even though it had been weeks since Dec 17th and should have arrived by then if it was actually shipped on that day. I click on the tracking number and it says "delivered." I thought that was odd and then I realized the tracking number was recycled from the October order that was delivered Nov 22nd. But, that packaged only contained the items ordered in October! I thought it was a mistake and emailed them asking for the correct tracking number. And then I emailed again. And again. They blew off my emails for 3 weeks. I submitted a help request through their website's contact form. I left them a comment on instagram and they deleted it.

Finally, I raised a dispute with Paypal. Only then did they respond. With lies, of course. They claimed their email system and contact form was broken. That doesn't explain the deleted instagram comment asking them to check their email, though. They then claimed they combined two orders and gave Paypal the tracking number for the October order. Since Paypal only cares about seeing a tracking number that says delivered, they will automatically side with the seller. So now I am out $250 with no recourse. Doesn't matter that the package was marked as "shipped" on Dec 17th, well after the supposed Nov 22nd delivery date. I suspect they realized they missed the order in December and didn't want to make several batches of old legacies just for my order so they decided not to fulfill it. A decent shop would cancel the order and issue a refund but this isn't a decent business. They are thieves.

Never place multiple orders with this site. Once they get a single tracking number with a "delivered" status, they will reuse it multiple times to steal your money. If you get a package from them, record yourself opening it. Record the weight and dimensions of the packages so you can prove which orders correspond with which tracking numbers.

Morally Disjointed

Unfortunate to be writing a review on a small business like this but I’ve had an awful experience with this company. ( 14/11/25 )

Not only did they not communicate well but they called me a scammer. I disputed a charge on an order I no longer wanted ( because of their lack of communication / possible timeframe issues ) and notified them immediately after. Came to find out that a few hours later they still shipped the order anyway even after I told them I did NOT want the order at all and has already notified them of a charge back. Keep in mind I only found out it was shipped by accident ( I was logging into my shop app to check on another order from a different company and saw this one had a number attached and a customs fee to pay. ) They never notified me nor even told me it was processed. So I emailed them today asking why they’d shipped it and they essentially emailed me back stating that I was scamming them for free products and they were reporting me for financial fraud. Not my fault that you went out of your way to ship an order after a charge was filed.

From what I can see this is a pattern for this company – customer files a chargeback, shipping mysteriously happens and then they lie to the card provider / paypal. I have countless screenshots, time stamps etc and will not be letting them lie and walk over me. I’ve also got proof of them doing this to other people so should the need arise I will show all of this as proof ( including reviews from trustpilot. ) They didn’t like my emails and decided that my accurate timestamps were not important ( because I was correct. )

As a supporter of many small businesses ( mostly usa based perfumeries ) I’ve got to say this is the one and only issue I’ve ever had. Never in my life have I seen a company as unprofessional or morally disjointed as this one, serves me right for not reading reviews beforehand.

TLDR: Shopping with Sixteen92 is like dousing your money in kerosene and setting it ablaze, genuinely baffled on how they’re still in business.

DO NOT buy from this company SCAM

Ordered a fragrance on 9/28 it is now 12/14 never received my item or a refund. Wrote them numerous times and never heard back I now have to file a complaint with my bank. Do not order from this company complete SCAM

I'm over this company

I ordered some perfume from this company on June 1, it states on the website there is a 20 day turn around period. I've ordered from them dozens of times. By July 1, still nothing, no communication or shipping notification. So I messaged them, I also tried to get on touch on Instagram. No response. So approx July 15 I did a chargeback on my credit card. Next day, there was a shipping notification. So I did get my perfume. And honestly at that point, with some friendly communication even then she could have saved me as a customer. But she lied to the bank, and told them "we sent it within the stated turnaround time, and we shipped the item out before she filed the charge back". Not only is that a lie, but it's a pointless lie because the bank doesn't care - I got my perfume and case is closed. That just tells me the owner is a compulsive liar and certainly can't admit when she made a mistake. I'm definitely over this company forever. There are some good scents, but there are so many reputable and friendly indie perfumers out there.

Do not purchase from this company

Do not purchase from this company, I ordered one bottle of perfume 5 months ago and have emailed them repeatedly and have gotten no response and no refund. Ordering from them is equivalent to lighting your money on fire.

Never received the last of my orders

Never received the last of my orders. It’s been over a year at this point. No communication, no order no refund. I always had hope that they would eventually send my orders that combined was close to $400. Especially since I was a customer since the company first opened. I can’t understand how a company can be so vindictive to someone who literally spent thousands of dollars on their perfume over the years. What a slap to the face and reminder that my loyalty over the years didn’t mean a thing.

Surprised I Actually Got My Order

I recently placed an order with Sixteen92, unaware of its reputation as a scam site. I ordered samples from the Goth Night collection, and to my surprise, my order was fulfilled and arrived quickly. The packaging was well done—none of the bottles leaked, and I appreciated that they were enclosed in a sealed bag.

That said, I’ve since learned that many customers have had negative experiences, with unfulfilled orders and a lack of communication. I suppose I’m one of the lucky ones who actually received my order, but knowing this, I’m hesitant to place another. If you’re considering purchasing, just be aware that your mileage may vary.

Don't buy into the marketing

Took over two weeks for my hair oil to arrive. What I got not only did not match the scent notes,it smelled like every element of the scent had turned. By the time it dried down, I smelled like a Bingo Hall full of ladies wearing 50 year old Avon. They have no formal place to leave a review for the company, and Reddit indicates that getting a response of any value regarding complaints is simply not a thing. Don't get sucked in by the marketing.If you want a unique scent that is worth the hype, check out Sucreabelle.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience, never received my products, communication with store was horrible, no email communication, they got back to me via instagram ONCE stating that some components got broken and they need to reorder those. then nothing for 2 months, I files a gov complaint and debit card charge back. What a shame

Sixteen92 attempted to scam me and the perfume quality decreased

Sixteen92 attempted to scam me. I placed an order and the owner claimed it was shipped and claimed it was lost in the mail. After talking to the post office they informed me the company lied to me. I contacted Sixteen92 and they continuously lied to me until I was almost out of time for a chargeback on PayPal. Thankfully I filed for my money back in time though. I would not buy perfume from here.

It is sad because they used to make some of my favorite fragrances. I loved We're Werewolves Not Swearwolves, The Bottling Room, Supercell, and so many more! But the last order I got before the above issue also was not the usual scent quality I expect. The scents smelled very different from their original formulations and honestly smelled very bad. So you may lose your money or get poor quality products.

Company has sadly gone majorly downhill

I ordered perfume from Sixteen92 over a year ago. Before I placed the order, I did some basic research about the company and was swayed to believe it was a legitimate business due to awards that some of the fragrances had received, articles in fragrantica and in other publications, and older reviews from social media/reddit. Sadly, I never received either my order or a refund. Upon some further investigation, it appears that this has become a chronic problem with Sixteen92. There are many, many customers who have reported a similar experience, culminating in being ghosted by their customer service. This is definitely a “buyer beware” situation.

I ordered something in November 2022

I ordered something in November 2022. I contacted the company in March and April to let them know that the item never arrived (via email and then IG). I've now (in May) had to file a dispute with my bank. This really sucks, as Salem used to be my signature scent. Too bad that Dean is horrible at handling anything at all and just shifts the blame to a third party.

Waited months, never received the perfume or a refund.

I placed an order in mid Feb 2023 for a bottle of perfume. When I hadn't gotten a shipping notice for several weeks, I emailed Dean, who handles all customer service, etc. He emailed back a few days later and said "oops! I'll go ahead and ship that." I received a tracking notice, but weeks later, it still showed the post office as waiting for the item. It never shipped. I emailed Dean gain in early April to let him know I'd be doing a charge back. He said this would take a long time and that he'd refund me instead. He never did. I completed a chargeback today (April 23rd.) This company is notorious for doing this (see Reddit), and it's a shame. Their products are lovely, but they shouldn't be in business.

Formerly legit, now a scam

Sixteen92 started out as a great and well-respected company. Unfortunately things went rapidly downhill starting in 2020 and rather than taking accountability and accepting that she couldn't handle it anymore, Claire has instead turned to scamming hundreds and hundreds of people out of their money with no sign of stopping. She does everything she can to keep potential buyers from seeing people's complaints- she turns off comments and will block you if you try to warn anyone. She's still running her business despite hundreds of people never getting their orders and needing to file claims against her. She's a crook and I hope it all finally catches up to her eventually.
