Had a very good experience

Had a very good experience. I ordered the wrong skates for my son. Was no issue at all, phoned and had the ordered annended before the original order was sent out.
Due to the error on my part and the delay it caused. I upgraded the postage to next day delivery and they arrived on time with constant updates from DHL.
They were super helpful throughout and my son is delighted with his new skates.

I ordered online and the skates arrived…

I ordered online and the skates arrived very quickly via DHL. I realised I’d made a small sizing error, but after a quick call to the shop I arranged to drive down on Sunday morning. The correct size was ready and waiting for me, and swapping them over was completely hassle-free. The staff were friendly, helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent prices too — I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

10/10 Customer Service

The customer service at this place is 10/10.
I was worrying about my Grandson not getting his new skates in time for Xmas but he did and he is extremely happy.
I would definitely purchase from here again.

AVOID

AVOID. I have had a nightmare trying to get a new helmet, they have messed me about, directly lied to me several times, don’t reply to emails, don’t actually send next day delivery…

Ive never ordered from them before but they were the only one that had the helmet in the colour I wanted available , it turns out They didn’t have the one I ordered in stock so they emailed to offer other options. I didn’t spot this till days later and then reluctantly ordered one because I needed it urgently (it was a visor helmet and I have a broken nose) they promised it would be sent next day delivery. I waited in all day and it didn’t turn up, a couple of days pass, I had to call them several times to get the tracking information, which they were weird about providing, it showed it was sent several days after they claimed they sent it, not even next day delivery and also have now sent it to the wrong address!

When questioned about the lie, they said the delay was because they had to order it in, why sell what you don’t have in stock?! I still don’t have the helmet!

quad skates for my daughter

I ordered quad skates for my daughter and they were delivered super fast and they are much better in person as the photo on their shop doesn’t do it justice. At first my daughter didn’t want the stoppers as she’s learning all the dance moves but quickly changed her mind. I contacted skate attack and they sent out a pair of stoppers at no extra cost, there was a slight issue with Royal Mail delivering these but once received it was happy days for my daughter. I can’t thank Jo enough for her help with the stoppers.

Awful company!


Avoid like the plague. I bought a pair of skates for my granddaughter for Christmas. Skate attack sent the wrong size. It has been a nightmare trying to get them to sort it out. So many emails sent to them! They say they will do something and then you hear nothing until you contact them again. It is now April and they have sent replacement skates TO THE WRONG ADDRESS and it looks like a child has packaged it. Wrapped in a bin bag with masking tape all over it. Honestly, give your business to a better company who value their customers.

Stay well away

I would never order from these again absolutely shocking no response from emails missing parts in my order not willing to rectify the problem stay well away. Just to update it is now nearly may and still no answer stay well away from this company cause u will just waist ya money and not get what u order

Have not skated for over 25 years went…

Have not skated for over 25 years went to the shop to order skates for myself and my daughter. Stellar service.. done my skates as they were custom there and then on a Monday morning. And I ordered a set of light up wheels for my daughter. They didn’t have the wheels at the shop but said come back on Wednesday an they’ll all be done. Wednesday popped in and daughters skates were ready.. I’ve since ordered my wife a pair and will collect them either today or tomorrow. Thanks skate attack!

We went into Skate Attack today to buy ice skates

We went into Skate Attack today to buy my daughter her first pair of ice skates. The staff were knowledgeable, helped fit the skates, answered our questions and gave lots of advice. They didn't try to sell us lots of extras we didn't want. The shop generally seemed pretty well stocked - multiple options for skates in my daughter's size. We left with everything we needed, so I'm very happy with the experience - would recommend.

Fair review

I have been to skate attack numerous times over the last few months. I found all staff to be friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. On my last visit they were extremely busy, a little flustered but still did well. This is my nearest skate shop and don't have an issue with the service.

Utter shambles - no customer service and tell differing stories depending who you speak to. We’ve lost our money and have no skate stuff.

Failed to deliver my goods and are now refusing a refund. I have no merch and am massively out of pocket. They managed to simultaneously ruin a child’s birthday present expectations by agreeing to resend items and then not doing so.

We ordered online, waited a couple of weeks and emailed to find out where it was.
They fail to return messages and come up with excuses of sickness and annual leave despite other staff saying other things over the phone.
Our order was delivered elsewhere apparently. I was told by JO (sometimes the assistant manager, sometimes the manager), that they are refusing a refund and after agreeing to resend the items have now refused to do so.
We have all the emails and paper trail so can pursue with.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND SONT SHOP HERE.

I ordered Monday my skates arrived by lunch time Wednesday, and exceeeded every expectation, they look so good almost didn’t want to use them!!!! But did and they are amazing. I went for Bauers, air wave wheels & upgraded bearings. Build quality fantastic and a great price too all with great service and great communication thank you it has been a pleasure doing business with you guys, I’m sending everyone your way.

I am really disappointed i had to write…

I am really disappointed i had to write this Bad review because this company seemed very nice helpful & cheerful in the beginning but after i made my £200 order they became horrible, i ordered the XLS BAUER ROLLER SKATES WITH AIR WAVES for my daughters birthday the order got to me fairly quickly but it was completely wrong i requested pink stoppers they put these weird black stoppers on & the plates at the bottom was faulty weirdly shaped with chip marks and white marks i contacted them several times more they six times! to explain the situation eventually after three days they got back to me, i asked if I could send them back to get the order corrected To my surprise they told me No and i basically should be grateful that they put the more expensive plates on the bottom of the rollerskates, although they faulty and damaged. They also said they had no pink stoppers in stock so they put the black ones on. They also said i should return the rollers skates at my own expense for a refund. Any decent human being would correct the mistake I was very shocked & disgusted with the customer service this is diabolical they did not want to resolve or correct the problem although i said it was very important for my 14 year olds birthday they are also going against their rules, making me pay for returns when clearly it was there fault sending me a faulty product with a colour i did not request they should cover the cost fix the problem and return the skates to me. Sadly they continue to ignore my emails I advise you NOT to purchase from this shop it was just a awful experience

I ordered a pair of Riedell skates with Skate Attack…

I ordered a pair of Riedell skates with them a 3 days later I emailed Skate Attack and only asked for an update regarding a possible date so i could be at home to receive the order. I recieved no reply the following days i tried phoning a couple of times where the phone rang out and then went to answer machine. I then sent another email stating the above and that i was cancelling the order and then i contacted PayPal for a reimbursement who then passed on my complaint to Skate Attack. Again no response then a few days later i receive an email from a courier stating my skates were dispatched I again emailed Skate Attack and stated i had cancelled the order and would refuse delivery i then received another email from Skate Attack asking me for my delivery order number as if they did not know it. However Skate Attack scores 2 stars due to lack of customer service. The skates arrived and I did accept them as I had lost confidence that Skate Attack would refund my money or it would be a frustrating process the positive is that the skates are OK. I do not understand how Skate Attack allowed the situation to escalate when all that was required was a simple communication regarding delivery.

Great service, great products

Ordered 2 pairs of Bauer XLS for myself and my daughter on the Friday night. I got in touch by e-mail on the Monday as it was a present for my daughter on the Tuesday. Quick response from Jo and sure enough they arrived the day after right on time.
All in good condition, well packaged and shipped by DPD.
Perfect!

Giving a 5 star so far to combat the negative reviews. reading the reviews gave me a bit of a heart attack so i emailed them asking for a status update on my custom bauers. They replied in under 20mins... clearly the people writing reviews about receiving no email replies are missing something out. So far so good, just waiting for the bauers to come at said ETA and ill update the review and 5 stars :)

0/10 for customer service. Ordered face protection for my 7 year old and I rang up on 2 separate days to make 100% sure this would be delivered before his next training session. Even offered to pay next day delivery, but i was assured I would have the face protector before the weekend. Never arrived. Phoned up skateattck customer service an explained why I needed it for my 7 year old and the customer service rep said “im not gonna call DHL because of the ammount of time I was on hold with them!”. I then asked to speak to a manager “not available”. I asked for a call back an she was like “it’s a family run business anyway” - in other words not gonna take your complaint seriously anyway. Spoke to a assistant manager nextday and she said she was unaware an that she’ll phone me back. Ive had no missed calls and had signal all day and Ive recieved a message saying

“ I did try to call you to let you know that your parcel has been delivered today. Very sorry for the delay in it getting it to you.
Thanks”

This was also the fault of the delivery company, but appalling customer service from skateattack.

After you placed the order you phoned us to make sure that you would receive the item by the weekend and we assured you it would be.; DHL tried to deliver it to your chosen delivery address on the Friday (in good time) but no one was home to take it in. When you phoned again on that Friday we looked up to see delivery status to which you were told that DHL had already tried to deliver it that day. You asked us if we were a family run business to which you were told yes. Not what you are claiming you were told. No one told you that we wouldn't take your claim seriously or that we wouldn't phone DHL because of being on hold.
When you phoned back that weekend you were told we couldn't phone DHL as they weren't open until Monday, so we phoned DHL on monday by which time the visor was delivered so we phoned you back with that information and you were happy then.

I think this company might be a scam

I think this company might be a scam. It’s been 9 days since I placed my 2-3 day order. I have chased it up and was advised that it’s been sent so I should have had it by now. I further chased for a tracking number and they provided one which Royal Mail don’t recognise. I don’t believe I’m ever going to receive my order and I’m i just annoyed I didn’t come here to check reviews first! Avoid!

Update: my mistake that I was given a reference number not a tracking number. I would advise anyone to check other reviews where people have not received their orders. Unfortunately I’ve not been offered a refund on postage given I’ve not received the item.

Hi, Your order was sent out with royal mail and you were provided with a parcel reference number. You don't get a tracking number on small items, You get a parcel reference number. After checking the parcel reference number ourselves on the Royal mail website it states they can't provide an update until they attempt to deliver it, not that it was not recognised!
We are not a scam and have been in business for over two decades. We cannot help that some items take longer to be delivered once we have dispatched them.
