Beware of bad equipment from BigSki3!

UPDATE - Within a day posting this review I was contacted by a BigSki3 representative who apologized and advised that they would look into both the equipment issue and their employees' customer service responses. I very much appreciated their outreach and hope these issues will be corrected going forward.

Our group rented two ski packages last week. One set was bone dry of wax - which you don't find out until on the slopes. We needed assistance from Ski Patrol to return to Sunshine Village. I paid for a $25 machine wax at the Village rental area and lost 2.5 hours of skiing time. When advising both the rental hubs about this issue, I got nothing but excuses about the 'conditions'. This was not conditions issue - this was equipment preparation failure by the hubs! These skis weren't just 'sticky' - my daughter was hit by the chair lift and knocked over when disembarking being stuck in place. Their 'gee, sorry for you' attitude and 'you could return them' was really surprising with all the fantastic service we received everywhere else on the trip. What are you supposed to do - leave the ski area, return defective skis to the Banff hub and lose a whole day of skiing? Lesson learned - rent equipment from each resort or use a more professional service, like Black Tie, that will come to you.

Not sure why the Big3 app is not being…

Not sure why the Big3 app is not being updated. Snow reports are over week old. When you give a company >$1800 for an annual pass, we have a higher expectation for updated info.

Lift Tickets - Bad Deal

The Ski Big 3 lift ticket prices are significantly more than the window price at Lake Louise, Sunshine, and Norquay. Why would any buy these lift tickets offered by SkiBig3?

Website promises more than it can deliver!!!

I have just tried to order lift tickets via the website. It is not working therefore I call the office, And I got the most impolite and rude person on the phone, how would to begin with, not tell me the prices for the lift tickets, but only want to sell me a combination with accommodation. We have already accommodations and are only looking for lift tickets. Then she tried to hang up on me, and I told her the problem with the fact that it is written all over the website that you can buy tickets now.
That was in my opinion a really strange way to give good service and I found the representative for ski big 3 rather arrogant.

Hi Karen, sorry if there was some confusion. Our individual lift tickets don't go on sale until early September as we haven't finalized the rates yet, but we are offering ticket + lodging combos based on an assumed rate, our agent was trying to see if they could beat your existing lodging rate as our promotion is currently up to 40% on lodging and 35% off on tickets. You're correct in pointing out that our site mentions lift tickets are available and we need to address that in short order. Kind regards.
