Not willing to find the real problem

Four months out of warranty and my SkyTrak has basically stopped working. It won’t connect properly, yet I’m still paying for a membership to use a product that doesn’t function.
Support’s response? There’s “nothing they can do.” The connection issue “isn’t something they can fix.” In other words — you’re on your own.
For a unit at this price point, that’s unacceptable.
I’ve owned other simulators and never experienced customer support this poor. I was genuinely excited about this product. Now I’m left with expensive hardware that doesn’t work and a company that takes no responsibility once the warranty window closes.
If you’re considering buying one, understand this: if your unit fails just 1-day outside warranty, don’t expect help. Once they have your money, you’re just another number. Have email evidence to support all the above for anyone who wants to now the truth here.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE COMPANY

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE COMPANY. ordered a 6k+ golf simulator. Once arrived and setup, the Impact screen was the wrong size and would not attach properly. Got a replacement (2 weeks later) and the screen was still too short. Then when I contacted Skytrak, conveniently; no-one was able to talk to me. After I expressed my concern, in no so gentle terms, the VP (Taylor Crawford) emailed me to inform me that they would no longer provide any assistance with my product. And told me to ship it back.

Connectivity issues with Skytrak+ really ruined it

This is my second Skytrak, while I was very pleased and had no issues with the original Skytrak, I made the mistake and upgraded to the Skytrak+, when it works the additional data is very helpful, but the issue is that they seemed to have really skimped on the connectivity issues, the system is constantly dropping connection or not recording hits, to the point where some days it is unusable. I ran both system side by said on the same network and had absolutely no issues with the original, but constant loss of connection with the Skytrak+, so I know it’s not the network, it’s they software, but they refuse to fix it.

Keep your Sanity

In my 40 years, I have not come across a worse company than Skytrak. The device itself and the golf game my husband bought it for are OK, but trying to set it up, manage the software, and deal with glitches is an absolute nightmare.
Unless you are computer science major or a 13 year old computer nerd, keeping skytrak running is impossible. The amount of hours I have spent redownloading the program and interface is maddening and depressing. Scouring the internet for answers has shown me I am one of MANY having the same problem and that there ARE no answers except bandaid fixes that dont work the next time it happens. I firmly believe that someday soon the most-searched-for term on Google is going to be "Why is my Skytrak not working?". Not to mention the amount of money spent every year on the annual membership($200) needed to simply keep using the machine and game that we already paid a ridiculous amount for. This is an outright crime.
The websites are not useful or helpful.
Don't waste your time or money. Please, I beg you.

It's a waste of money

It's a waste of money. I have tried for 2 months. Hired AV company still no luck. Had a golf pro here that teaches on other simulators. He laughed at us. A overpriced joke. Zero customer service. Now they want $286.56 for annual memebership

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY the device is…

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY the device is complete and utter trash. After 7 reinstalls of the software, I can play more than 7 holes without a complete freeze.

Want to spend more time fixing it than play with with it? Buy the skytrak plus today.

Support are extremely unhelpful and not willing to help. So checky and condescending.

I would give this device a 0.0001/ 10

Unbelievable how rubbish it is

Trash

Trash! Numbers are all over the place— no idea what may be accurate. Presented a photo to them showing no way the numbers could be correct yet they came back saying nothing was wrong.
$2,000 for junk!

Dreadful

Dreadful. This machine is as finicky and inconsistent as it gets. 15 drives in a row don’t read but if your shoelace flashes across the laser it’ll read a 90 yard shot. It has a tendency to to just seem to go to sleep and has to restarted regularly. The additional cost of the software in order to actually play courses is substantial. Without the additional software it’s basically a driving range and not much more. The putting is absolutely atrocious. Completely unsatisfactory as far as I’m concerned. I purchased this through Topshelfgolf.com and they have been absolutely no help whatsoever. When I asked for a link so I could post a review they disconnected the chat completely. Buyer beware and I would recommend doing more research before buying through a third party.

Support is USELESS! Buy something else .

Chat based support us USELESS> . HOURS AND HOURS and they only can udnerstand an issue and wont do anything to help you w technical issues. LOTS of connection problems, account problems, E6 connect issues, misreads. . . . and nobody to talk to about it. Seriously, I value my time more than this and would rather drop $5K to avoid such a horrible customer experience. The last 2 tickets I submitted, they dropped the ball for days and its STILL not resolved! No info on when it WILL be. . .

SkyTrak Launch Monitor Rusty Case

I have had a SkyTrak golf launch monitor for just over 12 months. Total cost 2.4K.

It works fine, but I wanted to make potential buyers aware that the "very necessary" steel case that protects the unit from errant golf balls, goes rusty really quickly.

Its steel work is poorly prepared and the black paint finish just peels off leaving a lovely patch of rust.

The case costs £149.00 so its not a cheap piece of kit. But when you go back to the manufacturer in the UK or USA, they tell you the case doesn't have a warranty. I tried their chat function and it was like banging your head against a brick wall.... "Computer says no"

FYI, all products sold in the UK by law, have to have a minimum of a 12 month warranty.

After really pushing the re-seller to replace the case a second case arrived. I returned the first case at my own cost.

After only 2 weeks after receiving the new case, i looked at it at the weekend and the paint had started peeling off and guess what, it was rusty.

In the end I can't be bothered going through this process a second time, so I'm going to get the item stripped and coated by a proper paint shop.

But the Skytrak website is very flashy but operationally pants and every year they get you to re-register for using a free service.

They have not even claimed this Trustpilot profile which kind of tells you a lot about the company.

Product good / case poor / after sales responds only after some intense and unnecessary pushing.

Terrible customer service for what could be an excellent product

Spent £2000 on a skytrak and the customer service is woeful. So bad that as good as the product may be i don’t want it because of the poor service. Still not got it working properly. Been passed from service agent to service agent. Going to return the Skytrak. So disappointed over something that I suspect could be solved simply with some know how. Nobody seems interested in helping me get it up and running properly. Customer service can be contacted between 9-5 Monday to Friday. When everyone else is also working!

Woeful customer service, don’t buy, it’s painful.

Woeful customer service, had a mix up with their package plan for SkyTrak, I was told in a chat, not to worry, there’s nothing to pay again, and that I’d be out in the correct plan within two days, I’ve keep the screen shots of our conversation, stating the above, then two hours later, I had an email, I thought great, that’s the activation code.
No it wasn’t at all, it’s was more blah blah about, I’ve paid for this and this, I now need to pay another £179, their main package bacsically, yet in March I paid £90, then two days ago £90, I went online again, I was offered a deal to pay another £90 and I’d also bet 4 months free, I said no thanks, anger had taken over by now, I now going to small claims court, the product itself isn’t that accurate, it also takes lots of patience for correct set up, connecting to WiFi, then setting up in network mode, I now wish I’d paid more and purchased a GC2 from Foresight, I’d have stuck with the SkyTrak, but shocking customer service has made me grow a hate for the company and product, I didn’t think I could be so annoyed that it would make me give up on a product I thought was half decent, just shows you the power of good customer service, but being lied to, I just can’t accept, small claims court next, screen shots ready, then YouTube, company review, as well as SkyTrak.
