AVOID!

AVOID!! The worst company I have ever dealt with. False advertisement of products claiming the pictures on the website are for “illustration purposes only” been trying to return the bed for 2 weeks with no reply from them. Also said there would be a £50 charge to return, the item itself isn’t worth £50!!

I would definitely give zero if…

I would definitely give zero if possible. I originally ordered from Debenhams last year. Bed broke after 4/5 months took from October 2025 until march 2026 to get a replacement. They were collecting 4 parts to the bed and only delivering 3 how does that make sense. How do they expect you to sleep without a mattress

Terrible but Customer Service was quite fast for me!

Ordered a bed through Debenhams on 27th January, clearly advertised as being delivered no later than 4th February. Based on this, and as we had just moved house, we disposed of our old bed frame in good faith.

After ordering, I received only an order confirmation and a generic “your order is on its way” email the next day. No further updates. On the 4th February, I checked the tracking to find the order was still processing and hadn’t even been dispatched.

After contacting Sloomy (the supplier), I was eventually told , after some pressing, that the bed hadn’t been sent at all. Later that day I received a text advising the earliest delivery date was 10th February at 5am, over a week later than advertised and at a completely unreasonable time.

This would have meant sleeping on a mattress on the floor for over two weeks. Advertising a latest delivery date of 4th February when this was clearly not achievable is misleading, and Debenhams is complicit in allowing this.

I cancelled the order, and while the refund was processed quickly, the overall experience was frustrating and poorly communicated. I’ve since ordered a bed elsewhere, which is being delivered promptly at a normal time.

I wouldn’t use or recommend this company again, feeling completely out of the loop and being given unrealistic delivery promises is unacceptable. I wish i'd have read the reviews but when a company is partnered with DEBENHAMS! You'd think the service level would at least be ok.

Do not buy from this company

Do not buy from this company. Ordered via Debenhams but item has never arrived! Now being offered 4am slots or being delivered in January. The customer service is so rude and doesn’t care. Please Debenhams think who you work with!

The worst company i have ever dealt with

I ordered a bed off B & Q on the 10/10 was sent an email confirming delivery on the 17/10 so booked a day off work,i then got a text to say bed would be delivered on the 1/11 after being advertised as 4-6 working days and having got rid of the old bed due to the new one arriving on the 17th this came as a biy of a shock!
A guy from sloomy rang and said he had a slot on the 30/10 so i booked another day off,no bed and no call to inform me it was not arriving,rang sloomy again to confirm delivery was still the 1/11 only to be told it was changed to the 5/11,another day booked off work only to wake to a text to a text saying delivery driver couldnt make it and it will be arriving the next day 😳i dont think so...
Im currently waiting for a refund and have ordered a bed off dreams as i had previously
Moral of the story is pay abit more,you get what you pay for!

AWFUL COMPANY AND SERVICE

Wouldn’t even give this any stars if I could. Ordered a bed for my daughter through b&q delivery dates between the 16th October and 20th. Still no bed here. Spoken to numerous people on the phone from sloomy who are nothing but useless. B&q aren’t able to do anything at present. £290 down and no bed so sleeping on floor. ABSOLUTELY AVOID!!! Wish I read the reviews before buying as I would have got a bed from somewhere else. Do not waste your time or money here!!

I was getting worried at first as I…

I was getting worried at first as I didn’t read reviews until after I ordered the bed.
The only downside to my experience was the delivery day was changed the day before it was due to arrive. However, it was arranged for 1 day later. It also stated on the website that delivery is 3-7 days when it wasn’t. More like 3 weeks.
The bed itself and headboard is of good quality so I am really pleased.

Took 18 days to attempt delivery with no prior warning

This company trades under the name 'Sloomy' and sells on Debenhams.

We ordered a bed on the 15th of September with the promise of 3-7 days delivery on Debenhams. We didn't hear anything from Sloomy until the 26th of September and no delivery was attempted until the 3rd of October. We specifically told them we were not available on the 3rd as we work, and we would need to arrange an alternative slot. This was the first time we'd heard anything regarding delivery which gave us no time to make preparations. It's now the 7th October and had heard nothing at all from them regarding an alternative delivery slot. I called and cancelled and will order a bed elsewhere.

I would recommend staying away from this company.

Absolutely disgusting service haven’t received my bed haven’t recieved a refund I’m now down 250 pound I don’t know where I will get that money back from. Why Debenhams use these as a partner is beyond me. 250 pound down no bed no way of getting a refund because they don’t reply. It’s disgusting how they can do this to people who work hard to earn a living

Very poor quality

I really do not know why debenhams are Advertising for sloomy beds. They are Absolutely shambolic.
On the Actual day of delivery. My time slot changed 3 times. When it finally arrived. I was shocked
The whole bed is Absolutely cheap and nasty. It's Absolutely Disgusting.
I will never ever purchase again.
The headboard to the bed. Well that's a complete joke!!!!!!.
It doesn't even match or line up properly.
When the driver arrived I asked are there any Assembly instructions. He said no. This company is a complete sham .no wonder so many bad reviews.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have no words. The company is poor, the bed is poor, the coustmer service... well whats that ? Learn from me and all the other 1 star ratings, save the time, and pain, do not buy from here. Trust, trustpilot but not Sloomy.

i wish i came on here and read the review's,
i brought a bed through Debenhams and i thought it was coming through them but it came from sloomy, Debenhams they didn't help with any of issues that I'm having with sloomy, i brought a bed and the mattress was incorrect, the one they sent was awful had about 12 springs in it [it was a double], i ordered a memory foam one . i wanted the mattress i paid for but after 2 weeks they never sorted it, so i brought another bed else where, 45 days I've been waiting for them to collect the bed and return my money..
not sure how long this will go on for

Terrible customer service

Firstly, colour was sold as Navy but is actually more an aqua light blue.
Secondly, most importantly, got delivered the same divan base so cannot hook together and therefore unable to use. Customer service number no answer, goes to to giff gaff voicemail . Their office is not open Saturday and Sunday. Not a serious or reputable company as per my examples given above.

Divan bed set never delivered, messed me about with delivery, offering delivery over a week after it should have been delivered, then wanted to deliver me a single white bed when I ordered a double grey bed, ordered through B&Q who were told they have cancelled my order because I changed my mind?? No, I wanted the bed I chose and paid for. Rubbish customer service, no idea of customer satisfaction or business sense. An absolute joke of a company, luckily I purchased through B&Q or probably would never have received my refund. Buyers beware….. too many of the same rubbish reviews for this company which speaks volumes.

Amazing quality of products and high customer service

Had a fantastic experience with sloomy, manager was very helpful and went out of his way to assist me when I came in to purchase a new bed and mattress. The products they have to offer are like no other and very comfortable me and my wife can’t complain. Thank you very much to the team and I would highly recommend this company for all your bedroom needs.
