My cat loves this stuff. It's quite expensive is my only complaint. Although I don't have any other cat food delivery companies to compare it to. High quality. Juggernaut approved!

No more vomit!

I have a 15 year-old prior-feral cat with a sensitive stomach. She loves store-bought wet food but it makes her puke- tried so many brands. The fix was giving her 1/4th the can at a time and even then she will start to puke after a few days of eating wet food in a row. …. I switched to Smalls and my cat stopped puking altogether. Occasionally I’ll toss in a store bought can because she likes it and she’ll puke instantly on ther crap, so I trust that the ingredients in smalls is good for cats because it stopped my cat’s puking.

Packaging

I was impressed with the packaging: very well wrapped and the ice was still frozen. Also had a nice surprise with the glass covered dish and spoon that you sent. It is perfect size to store left over portion to refrigerate for next feeding. Thank You!😊 I’m sorry I really liked the little instruction pamphlet

Excellent customer service and my cat

Excellent customer service and my cat, Gracie loves the food. I’ve tried it on my sisters two cats and they didn’t take to it so well, but I think it could be because of the different food they were on prior to trying this one. I’m not real sure but I’m happy that Gracie likes it.

Products are wonderful

Products are wonderful. My cat is a new woman. She’s playful again, her fur is so soft, and she has a sparkle back in her eyes. And she demands, no longer begs, demands to be fed. Her favorite is Bird and Fish! And forget about the snacks…her “cookies” are absolutely gone in one second flat. Thank you for bringing our girl back to life!

Cat LOVED it.

My cat simply loved the food and would probably eat more than one packet per day if I let her. Her stomach has settled and she has more energy. Has not thrown up in 10 days, a record. Will definitely continue ordering.

Small Serve bowls are TERRIBLE for cats!

I ordered two of the SmallServe bowls for cats which are marketed as being roomy enough and made specically for the comfort of cat's whiskers. While the bowls are so pretty, they are terribly designed! The bowl is too deep for kitty whiskers and the way the bowl is made, the food migrates to the outside rim, making it very hard for cats to eat their meals comfortably. I was especially surprised when Smalls did not stand behind their product and would not honor a return. I understand not taking returns on food, but not on goods? Such a disappointment! Don't take a chance on these bowls for your cats. They are a waste of money. Such a shame because if Smalls would take some notes from customers and make these bowls a little differently, they could be both pretty and functional.

A brand that cares for cats but not so much of the humans customers

Started feeding my kitty Smalls when she was 8 months old. She’s picky and gets bored very easily. She does not like actual texture of meat (ie stringy). Took her a week to accept Smalls and very quickly, she was obsessed. She would start licking from the bag or the bowl while I’m still prepping. Unfortunately, the Smooth Fish is a major turn off. She refused to eat it and would rather starve than take it. The smell just don’t appeal to her. I’m disappointed as I really wanted her to have fish in her diet. Gradually, she also became less interested in the Bird & Fish. 2 boxes later, the little brat got bored and decided she needs something new. I’m glad it’s so easy to manage my subscription and edit what’s in my box. As long as I stay on top of it and the email reminders help. Hope the price don’t go up any further. Would also prefer if Smalls can publish the price per packet during order process other than just +$0.50 for the premium. The company puts a lot of work and burden on cat owners to find information on their website instead of making them easily available

Cat didn’t like the food

Unfortunately all the meals arrived and they were pâté. My cat for some reason doesn’t like pâté and so she has refused to eat them (even tried multiple flavors). Such a bummer as I was hoping the would workout for her

F-rated on BBB with 9 unanswered complaints. I should have checked first.

Before you subscribe, check Smalls' BBB profile — F rating, 9 unanswered complaints, 63 complaints in 3 years. I wish I had.

Here's the playbook: their UI lets you "Save & Continue" edits to your upcoming box with no warning those edits don't apply to the order currently being billed. When I asked about it, their CSR opened with "You are confuse, let me clarify." I asked to cancel both my subscription AND the order still showing "Processing" on my account. They cancelled the future subscription (stopping their future revenue) but refused to cancel the one still charged to my card.

One minute after I asked for supervisor escalation noting the order had sat in Processing for six days without shipping, a shipping notification appeared. No supervisor ever responded. Ticket closed with an automated satisfaction survey in lieu of a response.

Hours wasted disputing a charge that should have taken one message to resolve. Filing with my bank and CA consumer protection. The BBB record shows this is systemic, not a one-off.

Well I love Smalls food for my cat but…

Well I love Smalls food for my cat but you should consider to parents who only have 1 cat and 12 deliveries? Somehow the food will be used the problem is that there’s a lack of space my fridge is not big and instead of 12 deliveries a year we may only need 8 due to we only have one cat like in my own case . but for families who have multiple cats that could be the best option .

This will feel more like a testimonial

This feels more like a testimonial than a review. My cat is 10 years old, has leukemia and has had explosive diarrhea for the last five years. The vets say the diarrhea has nothing to do with the cancer. I took him to an oncologist and she agreed they wanted to do exploratory surgery to find out why but I said no. I thought this was his life. Then one day I heard about smalls and decided to give it a shot because what did I have to lose? When the food was delivered, it was frozen solid and still had dry ice in the box which just usually doesn’t happen in Florida. I heated the food as instructed and offered it to him. He ate it and I’m sure you won’t believe me, but within the first 24 hours he had his first solid BM in years! I almost cried! The gas was gone. He still has normal BM’s. While it is very expensive (I don’t care what anybody says it’s expensive) I find it is 100% worth it! If your cat does have digestive issues, I would give this a shot. The only negative thing I can say about this company is they do not carry “kibble” or something that can be left out all the time that my boy can graze on.

Scam

This place is a scam. I wanted to order a one time package to see if my cat liked it and didn’t realize I was being put into a subscription. I got the sample box for 28 and they sent me another package for 114 and sent an email that went to spam informing me of the shipment. They also spam you with emails. The system is set up to get your money. Beware.

I’m extremely disappointed

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Smalls.

I placed a sample order just to try the product, but my cats didn’t like it. Without clearly realizing it, this automatically turned into a subscription, and I was charged for a new order that I never intended to continue.

I contacted customer service immediately, but the responses I received were repetitive and unhelpful—honestly, they felt like they were coming from an AI agent rather than a real person trying to resolve the issue. No real solution was offered.

Even though the order has not been delivered yet, they refuse to cancel or refund it, hiding behind their policy instead of trying to help the customer. This is very frustrating and not what I expected from a company like this.

Overall, very poor customer service and a disappointing experience. I would not recommend unless you are 100% sure you want an ongoing subscription.

Cancellation doesn't actually cancel — undisclosed "processing cutoff" traps customers

I cancelled my Smalls subscription on April 17. Their own customer service representative confirmed in writing via SMS that the cancellation was "successfully processed on 04/17." I have the transcript.

Days later, Smalls charged my card and shipped an order anyway.

When I asked why, I was told about an internal "Thursday 8 PM EST processing cutoff." Orders that pass this internal deadline supposedly cannot be stopped, modified, or refunded — even when cancellation itself is confirmed before the stated ship date.

This cutoff is disclosed nowhere:

Not during signup
Not in the cancellation flow on their website
Not in the cancellation confirmation email
Not anywhere prominent on smalls.com

I only learned about it after the charge hit, when I requested a refund. The rep's exact words were that they were "sorry this wasn't clearer." It isn't "unclear" - it isn't disclosed at all.
A cancellation that does not prevent the next charge is not a functional cancellation. Smalls is relying on an undisclosed internal fulfillment schedule to continue charging customers after they have cancelled in good faith, days before the ship date they advertise.

If you sign up for the trial, understand: the cancellation date you see on your account is meaningless. The only date that actually stops the next shipment is an internal deadline Smalls will not tell you about in advance.

Beware of this company!

Beware the almost immediate 2nd shipment

The problem wasn't with the product, even though our cat would only eat one of their seven recipes. The problem is that the subscription is launched (and charged) within two weeks of the original pilot order date. It took a week to receive the first sampler order on April 3rd, and we were then charged for the next month's worth of cat food on April 10th. We hadn't even gotten through 1/4 of the pilot order before 28 packets of food arrived at full price ($113). The pilot "sampler" order is heavily discounted, while the next order is not. My bad for not seeing their emails stating the next order was already on its way, but I never imagined we wouldn't have more than one week to evaluate the product and cancel if necessary. This is a seriously predatory approach that forces the consumer to cancel immediately after placing the sampler order to have proper time for evaluation. We donated all the food to our local animal shelter. I gave two stars since the packaging was good and the ingredients were sound. Bad business practice! Cancel immediately after the first order and then sign up if your cat likes the food.
