I've just applied 2nd coat using a medium size artist brush. Poured some of it into a small bowl for easiness and was very easy to apply with a brush. It does run down the tiles, but had a cloth close by to wipe as it ran down. Cannot comment of whether it will work or not, will allow for it to penatrate in and dry and will test tomorrow. Don't see why it shouldn't work, as that's what it's designed to do, so will see when I run water on it.

My shower cubicle was leaching water through both the tray edge and some of the tile grouting. I found this product on line and gave it a go. Glad I did. I rubbed the exiting grout lightly with smooth sandpaper to provide a key. Then 3 coats of Groutsealer onto the grout between the tiles. Any reservations I may have had have gone, it does 'what it says on the tin'. New seal round the tray and now combined with Grout Sealer, all fixed. I am a basic DIY guy, no expert and this was straight forward..

Bought this product as had numerous problems with my shower cubicle including having to re grout half of the tiles in the enclosure, so thought this an excellent idea to extra waterproof the grout. Very easy to apply, I used a fine artists brush and it doesn't take long. I applied 2 coats leaving it to dry completely for 12 hours or more inbetween each coat and then didn't use the shower for another 12 hours. So far it seems to be great but I suppose only time will tell.

I have never sealed tile grout before; just relied on the limited water resistance of the grout itself. However after a major bathroom refit I decided to go "Full belt and braces." I considered other products that come in aerosol form but not only are these highly toxic, and smelly necessitating the use of masks and eye protection etc they also cover the tiles themselves and in many cases change the surface appearance/texture of the tiles themselves. SMARTSEAL GROUT PROTECTOR is a low odour clear liquid that yiu can apply direst to grout lines with a artist's paintbrush. It dries quickly and recommended second coat applied after 30 mins. One 500ml bottle is more than enough to do an average size fully tiled bathroom and shower. Before purchase I submitted a couple of questions about the product and received prompt and comprehensive responses from the friendly and helpful staff at SMARTSEAL UK. I have no reservatons over awarding SMARTSEAL UK and their grout seal product 5 stars across the board.

A little goes a long way when applied with an artist's paint brush. I applied the sealant on 4 year old grout, after having first used the grout cleaner. It's easy to use by dipping the brush into the bottle. 1-3 coats is recommended. After taking a shower after the second coat I think a third is required. It's mostly sealed from water but there are patches where the grout becomes wet. I'm assuming that the porous nature of grout has lead to the first two coats filling spaces in the grout. I'm happy that the product is doing what I want it to do. I hope it will last for the manufacturer's estimated 5 year lifespan.
