There is no security at all here....
My boyfriend and I have been living here for the second year. Last year, this place belonged to another company and it was fine! When NIDO took over the company, everything changed. The price of T1 has increased by 30%, and the quality of service has decreased. 2 days ago, robbers tried to steal our bicycles, from the NIDO parking lot, it turned out that 4 bicycles and a 1 scooter were stolen from people here..
The police recorded the fact of robbery. It turned out that the cameras installed in the parking lot are aimed only at the aisles. The managers of NIDO expressed complete indifference and said that they were not responsible for the safety of us and our belongings, in the rooms and throughout the territory of NIDO.
There was a security guard here a year ago, now there is no security here any more..., management don't want to change anything.
!!!!! I want to warn everyone who will live here that you will not have any security here! If something is stolen from you, no one will help you and most likely, the cameras will not even record the moment of the incident.

This company scams people. They don't care about their customers at all! I booked a room and canceled in September because I didn't need it anymore. I was supposed to get 50% of the deposit back as the contract states. Asked several times via phone, no one is responsible. Sent several emails, no reply. The contract doesn't matter to them. Be careful guys, stay away!

The rooms are smaller than they look, the service in gral is ok, however there were a lot of construction workers still working, we had a lot of times without water, the beds are mad uncomfortable, to the point I could not sleep and bought my own pillows and sheets, they gave us some credit for the issues, but this was s bad I am skipping this, tbh skip it if you can and invest a bit more, think of your mental health.

The apartments are nice, the guardians and commercial team are friendly and helpful. The only problem is that the sound isolation is poor, certainly on the back side of the building. Lots of students, sometimes a party or another event ... . Not always easy to sleep at night.

This is a good place to stay.

but I had some problems: When I work in my studio, the internet goes down sometimes.
I had problems with the key, I needed to call the receptionist to open my studio.
The place is tiny, but the other things works well

This is a company not worth dealing with when it comes to their own policy regarding refunds as per a 13 page contract. Location is loud with paddle ball from 0700 until 0130 in the back and new construction in the front.
Staff at check-in unfriendly with false information on deposit and payment. Lacks professional touch. They should have learned from previous comments.

Amazing atmosphere in Carcavelos! this was my first experience on this kind of stay and it was so nice to meet so many multicultural people from all over the world, it grows our horizons and the possibility to learn and create a great networking with unexpected nice co-guests!!! I truly recommend. They are a super team always ready to help and fulfill our needs. The Living spaces are well designed, fully furnished, always super clean, with a lot of activities

Appartment is good.
There is actually 3 points that was annoying for me.
First, the internet connection. Really unstable which is annoying when you need to be connected all fay for work, and also for perdonnal use. Maybe the possibility to plug ethernet cable would be good.
Second, the fire alarm. I think it would be better if the fire alarm was inside the appartment. If someone making burn something by cooking, he would know it without make it ring for the all building. And maybe it would not ring for 1 hour during night ( which happen almost once every 2 month)
Third would be to improve sound insolation from the train. Maybe that point cannot be improve. But last year there were train during day and work on the rail during night. Even with close window that was very loud all the time.
Exept thoose three point the experience was good. Facilities are great. The guardians are nice. It is clean well. Commercial team is also helpfull when needed. I also liked that most of communication are in english and portugese. (This email is actually the only one only in portugese by the way)

In the service, the description has the internet in the contract. But it was more than 4 days without connection.
Some days, the water was cold.

I enjoyed my stay at Smart Studios Santa Apolónia, 5 stars.

Things Smart Studios got right:
- Clients are welcome to visit and the tour is thorough
- Good commercial team is responsive and fast
- The price is fair
- The security guard Bruno was friendly, welcoming, and useful while also being assertive when needed
- The pool, gym, and terrace spaces were nice
- It was calm, quiet, and sunny

Things Smart Studios could improve:
- Not being able to invite my parents or a couple of friends to the space was a painful limitation (Smart Studios only allows you to bring 1 other person)
- Would be nice if the room windows were washed. Dirty windows ruin the view.
- Replacing the food machines for a small coffee shop would be great
- Would be nice that the whole security team was welcoming and useful

Some quirks of my personal experience:
- My fridge dripped water on the upper drawer making it unusable
- Some guests listened to music and meetings using speakers instead of headphones in the co-working space
- One of the guests (a grown man) peed himself leaving a puddle of pee on the floor and went directly into the swimming pool

It is a very clean and secure residence that has all the needed facilities, and the staff are very friendly and professional.

Small rooms and you need to pay to use the shared kitchen, other than that, had some great socializing time with people here. Clean and friendly environment, staff was always there to help. Always pretty well localized considering it is in Carcavelos, (15mins walking) close to beach, train, bus and supermarkets. Better to choose a room with a view cause there is a paddle court on the other side, I was fine the noise but I knew a few who really found it disturbing.

I was in a room very close to road and the noise was awful.

The rooms are getting really cold, and the fact that we can’t have guests unless you pay, yet have a couch-bed…

Good clean rooms and nice building with a yard. Supportive staff who were very considerate during covid.

Whilst staying at Smart Studios, my bike was stolen and there wasn't any improvement to the security. The rooms were not as big as they appear and feel very damp.

Very small studios with small storage space (especially closet); Too expensive to the service provided; For the price, it is ridiculous that does not include tableware, cutlery etc (bought separately); in addition, cleaning services should be included or have a more reasonable price. Nice staff, very helpful.

An overpriced space with constant problems plus fake photos where you never know what you’re getting ( I got 3 types through the last year).

They take you into a illegal contract always made to keep you chained to them and the just care when you are paying, otherwise the support truly doesn’t care.
