Louise at Smeg’s Oxford offices was very efficient & helpful whilst dealing with my case & to speed up things emailed me with a link to which I attached a photo & she acknowledged that she had received my return email. I’am not that computer & phone savvy, but she was patient enough to guide me through the process.
Louise is an asset to your company & I hope that customers feedback is read back to employees rather than just saying to them that they got a good rating.

I have been in conversation with the Smeg customer service department but have had no joy. My husband purchased a Smeg range cooker in 2018, although due to building works it wasn't installed until 2019. While it is a beautiful design it has been plagued with faults and the recent one is extremely disappointing. While still under warranty the oven door seal needed replacing twice and two of the induction hob rings were so noisy they had to be replaced. Later the grill became unusable as it tripped the switch on the consumer unit every time it was switched on and the heating element was replaced which we paid for. However the most recent event beggars belief. I had just checked a casserole cooking in the main oven when I heard a loud band and discovered the switch had tripped. After this, bizarrely, the whole of the induction hob was completely dead even though I hadn't been using it. On inspection by a Smeg certified local engineer the reason this happened was explained. It seems that when I opened the oven door the steam released seeped into the underneath of the hob and caused it to blow. Surely simply opening an oven door should not cause this to happen. I had no option but to go ahead with the repair which, with parts and labour, cost more than one thousand pounds. I am however extremely concerned that this could happen again and will be worried every time I open the oven door. It was an almighty bang when it blew so I'm now wary that this could be dangerous. Smeg has flatly refused to take any responsibility for this. I’m interested to know if this is a one off manufacturing fault or a design fault. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

So, 6 year review on having a retro kettle and a 4 slice toaster. Firstly, products look great hence the reason I purchased them. However, these are not cheap items and so you would expect high quality components...and that is where SMEG falls very short. I bought the kettle and toaster at the same time, and just over 2 years later the kettle thermostat failed. I was offered a new kettle at a discounted (but still expensive) price. I assumed that I had a one off faulty product so purchased a new kettle. 2 years on the toaster burnt out and 2 years on from that the kettle hinge has broken and so is no longer usable. These items have had very little use, as they are used in a one person household, working away from home 5 days of the week. Having contacted SMEG regarding the the kettle failing, I had the response that I could buy another one from them and that they do not sell spares, which I find environmentally irresponsible. I have decided not to throw good money to bad and thus purchase Dualit products, which not only have superior components but also sell spares parts should you need them. Other friends have had problems with SMEG products and in my own experience to own a SMEG kettle and toaster has cost me £90 per year, each year...very expensive. I will certainly not be buying any of their products in the future or recommending them to family and friends.

I purchased a new kettle end of December 2025. The paint began to flake off the button to open and close the kettle. I contacted SMEG directly, sent proof of purchase and a photo of the flaking paint on the button. Within a few working days SMEG sent me a replacement kettle. Excellent customer service.

Smeg range cooker,,utter rubbish. Paid 50% more for a smeg from the next one in curry's thinking it has a reputation and will give me years of stress free cooking. WRONG. Within 6 months circuit board fail ,smeg came and fixed it no problem, in the next 2years probably 4 more break downs ,I told them to take it away and swop it, they did, next one delivered, lasted about 18months then same issue, out of warranty but as a good will gesture they fixed it. December 2025 same problem, rang smeg and no joy, gave me a number of a local engineer they came out ,changed pcb and door switch on 23rd December costing me £380 then on 18th April 2026 broke down again ,rang the local engineer and told parts only have 3 months warranty, so I'm looking at another £380.
Do not buy smeg, its a brand name that can't produce a quality item

Leanne in the customer sales team came back to me quickly, having investigated a problem I had with my delivery (not Smeg's fault, it was the delivery company). She was really helpful and went the extra mile. Thanks for the exceptional service Leanne.

I bought my Smeg kettle and realised it had some scratches, I was not sure if it came with scratches or how it got scratched as it was still brand new. I contacted Smeg and Louise very kindly sent me a replacement even though this was not covered under warranty.

Me and my wife went to Smeg St James branch and what a show room to view a Victoria Cooker! All the great appliances all in one place was just wonderful to see! Kelly approached us and asked if we were looking for anything specific and we mentioned the cooker. She led us downstairs and and there was a pale blue Victoria Cooker which was just fantastic. Kelly answered all our questions and I mentioned we have seen it slightly cheaper elsewhere so Kelly said she will ask the Manager if they can price match. The cooker was price matched while we continued browsing and Kelly arranged my invoice and payment. I asked for a VAT receipt and Kelly sent me a version with all the details via email later in the day. Awesome service, very pleasant environment where everyone looks very happy. We will be going back as we will be buying more Smeg appliances for our new kitchen. Thank you to Kelly, you have been wonderful.

Impossible to reach a human
To ask a simple question about a product before purchasing. No email no phone number only an AI bot that can't understand my question.
Which is asking about the clearance needed above the water tank in the combo microwave and no info in the manual or anywhere online

After recently moving into our new home, we decide to give our Smeg oven a self clean. Unfortunately the inside door glass shattered. We knew that the oven was only a couple years old, but had no paperwork to prove this.
After contacting Smeg customer services, their representative Jo, arranged for a new interior door glass, to be delivered, which has now been received and all within a week.
A big thank you to Jo and Smeg for being so helpful and understanding.
