I was not sure how to return a gift that I bought for my daughter that was too big for her kitchen/dining room but Alex in the Smeg Sales Order Processing Department was absolutely brilliant. He was incredibly kind and helpful and organised a free DPD pickup so that an old guy like me didn't have to worry about anything. And Alex sent me several follow up messages letting me know that my parcel had arrived back at Smeg and then another message to let me know that my refund had been processed. These were not automated messages but were messages written by Alex himself, showing what a great team there is at Smeg. Thank you Alex.

We spoke to Emily for advice on fitting our range cooker as we had been given conflicting information on its installation by fitters. She very quickly and decisively answered our question and confirmed that they way we are having it fitted would not invalidate our warranty.

While the communication between support staff and the repair service could be improved, the support from SMEG staff and repair technicians was exceptional. I’ve had ongoing conversations via the platform and phone and in every instance the staff were courteous, understanding, helpful and respectful. When I needed to call I always got through quickly and the staff were able to retrieve the repair history promptly.

A very impressive response from SMEG UK which went over and beyond to replace our kettle which was suffering with flaking paint. Following a brief conversation with Jo (Customer Service Advisor who was incredibly helpful), arrangements were put in place to replace the kettle. This happened within 5 days. I bought my Smeg kettle in May 2025 for £146 and unfortunately it developed a leak within the warranty period, which was disappointing given the premium price.
On the positive side, customer service from SMEG was excellent — they responded quickly and replaced the kettle without any problems.
Overall, while I appreciated the support, I expected better durability for the cost. The design is beautiful, but I’m not fully convinced the quality matches the price point.

I just spoke to Emily at Customer Services, to express my concern about a fault / consumer safety concern with our cooker.
Despite being out of warranty, due the the nature of the particular fault, Emily has arranged for an engineer to attend and rectify the fault as a matter of urgency. I am absolutely delighted with the customer service and the very positive response and attitude demonstrated by the company.

I bought a Smeg kettle nearly four years ago and for the past year the soft close lid has not performed very well. Finally, it stopped working altogether. Not what I’d expect from a kettle of this supposed quality at the price. All my other smeg appliances including two ovens a fridge freezer, a hob and milk latte maker and a toaster are all going very strong! I paid the money to hopefully have a product that would last but the kettles lid is a disaster waiting to happen! The mechanism seems to be a faulty design. Do you really need a soft close lid on a kettle which will go wrong after a few years? I’m not alone. I’ve seen other people who have been experiencing this fault as well on other websites. What to do, it’s out of warranty? Maybe Smeg will answer me on here as I’ve had no response on an email sent direct. Am I asking too much?
Thanks for your reply, but as I said I bought it 4 years ago and haven't got the receipt now. The fault is obvious, how can you help now please? I have replied and given you the details what’s next please?
Update one of my ovens has completely failed now, so I will not be buying a new kettle even with the discount you came back with… I’ve totally lost faith in Smeg!!

Promotional funds overlooked. After two emails to Customer Promotions, Alex chased up and within two days gratefully received. Alex totally customer centric…refreshing to see rather than another ‘fob off’ strategy.
It was my second oven from Smeg so oven and support staff in tandem!

Initially I couldn’t find online chat and the forms didn’t allow me to enter serial numbers. When I did find online chat spoke with Michelle who very quickly helped me to navigate through my issue and resolve the problem

New cooker developed a fault and after an attempt to fix it, Smeg very helpfully decided that the fastest way to resolve it was to organise a replacement. Clare in service was so helpful and kept in touch throughout. My thanks also to Louise in customer services who arranged the replacement through AO.Com who were also very helpful. So good to experience this sort of service.
