I was looking for a home with smart locks, mostly to avoid bringing around the keys. I choose this company much for the price which is affordable. I must admit though, the lock is quite convenient and easy to install. You can control it by downloading the app on your phone. Gave me less think to think about in the morning going to work..
If you are looking to buy a Smonet surveillance system please be aware that they do not offer ANY warranty unless you buy it on Amazon.com.
I bought a brand new, unopened system on Ebay and when I sent Smonet customer service a question via e-mail they initially tried to help, but then asked where and when I bought the system. I sent them a copy of my notice of shipping from Ebay (I had received the system exactly a year earlier). I then received a response from someone named "Cavely Z." who said, "We're only responsible for customers on Amazon." Then he/she told me to contact the Ebay seller.
This ticked me off since I wasn't even looking for warranty service.
I only wanted to know how to configure a wired camera into the (wired or wireless) system, which is something that should have been covered in the manual, but wasn't.
If you really want this brand, buy it on Amazon. Otherwise there is NO warranty. You get a one year warranty if buying on Amazon.
But honestly, I'd get one from Harbor Freight instead. It's much cheaper and appears to have the same features.
