Jordan has been fantastic over the years. He's been very very helpful and I'm glad I set up with smughost. I've had many of sites set up through smughost and even had jordan join a business I work for to offer additional support and the owners have been very pleased since he did. I can't recommend smughost enough. Top class service and I'm delighted my websites have found smughost as their home.

I've placed a review here before, after creating a previous site, and here I am again.
Recently trusted my reputation with Jordan when recommending Smughost to a small charity as the right place to move their site to after the incumbent began charging an outrageous price for very little service.

Support -
I've used Smughost for a few years now, and found the support to be both reliable and knowledgeable. That is - Calls get responses, sometimes amazingly quickly, and every call has had a positive outcome. A previous reviewer said that spammers had corrupted email services for a client. I had the same experience, and it was an absolute pain. May all spammers be kneecapped and slow roasted in hell. But the solution is to work with Smughost, appreciate what they are doing behind the scenes, and weather the issue. Service was soon back to normal. There have been other issues, of course, but all handled expeditiously.

System up-time -
Great. I have a background in 24 hour operation 364 days. (Christmas Day is when the techs run dramatic testing- the only window of opportunity)
Smughost has slowed a couple of times, and a move from one server to another involves a frisson of excitement, but there was no drama. Full marks to Smughost - excellent communication throughout.

Price -
Oh come on people - where else are you going to get this level of service at such a reasonable rate? You have no concept of how IT works if you expect 100% uptime and the backup that that requires at the prices Smughost charges. Constant uptime requires constant attention, and needs constant maintenance of component updates, both hard and soft.

I have just recommended to another existing site that they consider dropping a (big name) host and move to Smughost. The support is better.
Smughost always seems to have an actual interest, and that's worth money.

I'm a very happy customer and full of admiration for the competent and timely way that Smughost accomplished the assimilation of the latest site from elsewhere with the client barely noticing.
That says it all.

Their service is excellent, may be not the best one on the market, but their technical support is super, one of the best support experiences i ever had.

They help you out if you have trouble with your site and account. And add options if you need them in your cPanel!

I’ve been a website developer / designer for over 25 years at the time of writing this. It’s safe to say I’ve experienced 100’s of different web hosting companies at this stage. Let me make this simple - if you’re looking for awesome web hosting SmugHost should be near the very top of your list.

SmugHost offer all the things you need - high performance, servers which aren’t overloaded, a wide range of services, fair pricing and solid, helpful customer service. They aren’t owned by one of the giant, monopolistic web hosting conglomerates either.

Are they the cheapest? - no they aren’t. Trust me here, that’s a good thing and you do get what you pay for. If building and managing websites for as long as I have has taught me anything, it’s never to compromise (ever!!), on your website’s hosting.

I’m a decent web developer / designer, but even the best website can perform terribly if the hosting isn’t good. If you care at all about your website, using a solid host like SmugHost will help you to get the best from it. Your business or project will thank you for it!

What more could you ask for..... the response times the output of work the quality just every thing is 💯 with smughost. Servers are full of spam.Used their service for 4 months and my clients email ip always gets blasklisted.Stay Away.Asked the issues to be fixed and they fixed it but after some days same issue.

I've worked with BIG systems for decades, - the things that get your orders delivered over 3 countries or pick your bill out of several million transactions. When I needed to find a reasonable priced, but capable host for a small charity I finally chose Smughost, with some misgivings about security, up time, support, and the rest.

After several months with them I have been very impressed with their attitude, the available support, and the consistently good services on offer. The palette of tools and scripts they offer is huge, and their hosting packages are rich with features, capability, and scalability.

So much so that I'll be moving other sites over to Smughost as they become due for renewal.
