My experience with snackless

I signed up to the snackless programme because I felt like I was constantly eating and didn’t know where to begin. During the first week of the programme I enjoyed identifying patterns in my eating behaviour. I thought I was eating all the time but through the food journalling I realised I was mostly snacking in the gap between after work and dinner. The group coaching session on emotional eating also made me realise I snack when I’m bored or stressed.

During the second week I found planning what snacks I was going to eat really useful as it introduced structure to my day and ensured I didn’t get too hungry and then raid the cupboards. Because the snacks are pre-planned I think about food less.

When I started trying to snack less half way through the programme I found doing arts/crafts an effective distraction strategy. I liked the snackless programme because I got to work out what works for me. It wasn’t about counting calories or being told what to eat.

Small steps make big change

Thank you Laura this programme is truly excellent and like nothing I’ve tried before ( I would give 10 stars if it was an option!). I’d describe the whole thing as “small steps make big change”. The format was very easy to stick to as the commitment of a short audio and tracking food per day was very manageable.
The pace of change within the programme really helped to make the second half (the more challenging bit) easier to stick with as my awareness around relationship with food was more concrete and I knew where I needed to focus my efforts on change.
I had a relatively good understanding of my snacking habits but the easy day by day approach helped me really properly understand triggers and motivations for it. I will continue to implement the programme, specifically at weekends as these are more unstructured eating moments for me.

Great programme to help you to snack less

I enjoyed listening to the daily coaching, I feel like I will be lost without it for a while. I also enjoyed the group interaction on the live meeting & it was nice to hear others having similar problems with snacking & how they intend to distract themselves from doing so. I found snackless slow at the beginning but understood why it was done this way. It really is a case of trusting the process.
Laura, you have been very supportive & for that I am very thankful. The voice notes & messages were so helpful being that bit more personal to my issues.
