I avoided my QuickBooks account because…

I avoided my QuickBooks account because it felt like Greek to me, with SnapTax I am not afraid to look at my financials anymore
I started my business about a year ago and started using quickbooks. I was so confused getting it set up as math and accounting are definitely not my thing, so I hired a bookkeeper to help me get it going right and show me the ropes, but as a new business I couldn’t afford a bookkeeper every month, so I had to figure it out myself and it didn’t go so well. I got so much anxiety every time I opened quickbooks because it looked like a foreign language to me and I was so scared I was going to mess something up and get in trouble with the IRS. A friend recommended SnapTax to me as an easier alternative to quickbooks, and as you can imagine, even the stress of trying to switch and learn something new raised my blood pressure. But I gave it a try because what I had been doing wasn’t working. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to set up and import my data into SnapTax(total opposite of my quickbooks set up experience) and I ran into an issue as I was importing data and the company was really responsive and got me back on track. Once I got all my data into SnapTax, it was so easy to use and now I can see exactly what I need to pay and when. There are not a ton of buttons and pages and confusing things I don’t need. Even though I had a business bank account, I still had to put a lot of purchases on my personal credit cards and SnapTax handled that no problem, something that was nearly impossible in my quickbooks. Needless to say, I am so happy I switched, I don’t get anxiety about looking at my books anymore, I know its something I can handle in just a few minutes every month and that allows me to focus on my clients instead of worrying about my books!

I avoided my QuickBooks account because it felt like Greek to me" — I have heard this exact sentence from so many business owners over my 20 years in bookkeeping and it is a huge part of why I built SnapTax. You should never need to hire someone just to feel safe opening your own financial software. The fact that you went from dreading your books to handling everything in a few minutes a month — that is everything. And the mixed personal and business card situation you described is one of the most common real-world problems freelancers face that QuickBooks genuinely makes harder than it needs to be. SnapTax was built specifically for that reality. Thank you for trusting us when switching felt stressful, for reaching out when you hit that import issue, and for sharing your story so generously. Your clients are lucky to have someone who fights that hard to figure things out. — Crystal, SnapTax Founder

SnapTax has been great to use

SnapTax has been great to use, easy to setup, easy to use which means I might actually keep up with my taxes this year! As a real estate broker, I drive a lot, so the mileage app is really handy as is the receipt capture….no more crumpled up receipts in my briefcase that get lost.

This made our day — thank you! The mileage tracker was built specifically for people like you who drive constantly for work and can't afford to miss those deductions. At $0.725/mile in 2026 every business drive adds up fast. And the days of crumpled briefcase receipts are officially over! We'd love to hear how your first quarterly estimate looks once you've had a full month in. Thanks for being part of our early community. — Crystal, SnapTax Founder
