Engineer from S.O’Brien initially said he could see nothing wrong with my boiler. After asking the age of the boiler he changed tack and went into full sale mode. Telling me the cost would be £3000+, giving a waffley explanation of what was wrong, leaving me with zero hot water and phoning me afterwards to give a quote. My boiler is in the loft and following a second opinion discovered my boiler was leaking and the engineer from S.O’Brien had placed tissue paper underneath but failed to tell me. I did need a new boiler, so the engineer was correct, but his words and actions were questionable. I have used S.O’Briens in the past and the service was excellent, but I will not use again.
Yusuf serviced my Gas Boiler yesterday. He was very efficient and quick and answered questions which no one else has.
I was very pleased with the service I received and two radiators now are much hotter than they were before.
Liam came and serviced my boiler today at which I was extremely delighted with. He called to confirm the time with me in the morning then arrived in time. Liam was so polite and well mannered.

I’ve not ever come across a set of people who are genuinely concerned and care about there customers, I had a fault with my central heating, yesterday, Christmas Eve, it was freezing, they didn’t have the part in stock, it would have been after Christmas to receive it, there engineer as due to leave at 12 o’clock lunchtime for his Christmas break, instead, he told me he wasn’t going to leave me cold over Christmas and said he would drive to Leeds (about 50 miles away) and pick up the part directly from the supplier, he went and picked the part up and fitted it that afternoon, I’m here now on Christmas morning, all nice and warm thanks to these lads, His name was Micheal, thank you, much appreciated and have a lovely warm Christmas like I can now thanks to you.

I had my boiler service completed by S O'Brien Heating on behalf of British Gas, I was given an estimated time of arrival in the morning, engineer turned up in that time was very polite and professional. I have since used S O'Brien for a breakdown which they got my boiler up and running within a day fantastic service would definitely recommend.

We had our annual British Gas Homecare visit from an S.O'Brien engineer on the 15/11/21. We told him that the boiler had recently been acting up (switching itself off randomly, making odd noises). He briefly looked at it and said it was fine 'just a small leak, normal, nothing to bother about'. He gave us a piece of paper and left.
We then had to call British Gas up after our boiler got worse, as did our 'small leak' which has resulted in water damaging the wardrobe/upstairs wall and my kitchen ceiling.
The British Gas engineer was fantastic and said the boiler should never have been left as it was as it was dangerous. He swiftly got the part needed, repaired the boiler and has also put in a complaint.
I am currently waiting for a tradesman to quote how much the repairs will cost.
British Gas is using this company customer service is lacking. Care in service is lacking. British Gas has delivered this subcontractor. Cancelled Home Care, Failed to have the opportunity to quote for New Boiler instillation. Are you really saving money not employing enough engineers. Because you lost the above. I would never have this company at my address again.
