Saw the bad review, joined same day.
I read a 1 star review on Google and based on the management's rebuttal of the criticism, I thought I'd give it a go.
Awesome gym with epic equipment, brand new, loads of machines you've never tried out and a very easy going mindset. It's also super clean too - that's the changing rooms and workout area. They also have free lockers for your gear.
There's plenty of room between the gear, weights are all racked up, mirrors in front of the squat racks and free weights and everything is neat and tidy and in its proper place.
The music is the right volume too, audible but not intrusive. Clientele is largely about 70/30 M/F aged 25+, and even better, it's never packed and there's no wait for the kit. Subs are about £30/mo which is basically stealing for the quality. It's a proper gym.
So, if you're looking for a decent, douche-bag free gym in Poole, you can stop looking, SoCal is what you're looking for.
