Bought it for face searching. Tested it with three faces I knew. It failed totally. I asked for a refund. They refused. Useless service. Shocking customer service. I’m claiming money back with bank for falsely advertised service.

Useless, charges a fee and delivers absolutely NOTHING. SCAM company

I just joined eHarmony and after some reflection,n decided this gentleman's responses weren just too perfect. I decided to run my initial message through ChatGPT to see if it was AI, and when I did, the result came awfully close to what he'd written. so I knew it was in fact, AI. I wanted to check him out further now, bc if he was using ChatGPT, I had no idea of his real intelligence or personality, so I came to socialcatfish.com. I am a YouTube follower and watch their videos every Wednesday and often find myself talking to the screen in frustration to these victims, bc idk how they didn't see any of that coming, but I digress. I paid close to $50 for access to the image search and all that, and it turned out this person was impersonating golfer Lee Harrison (I do not watch golf). Now I am keeping it going for fun, and plan to "fall in love" and have some fun with him. It's crazy eHarmony does nothing to protect their members and I have to pay for an outside service to do that and be safe. Anyway, thanks so much for all your help. I see I am going to need this service while dating online, bc it turned out there was one more besides the fake golfer. You gotta be vigilant on the internet, bc these scammers are smart!!

I signed up and paid for a 3-day trial for $6.87, as part of which I had to give payment information so the trial would convert to a full $~28 monthly subscription if I did not cancel. I used Paypal.

Immediately after paying and receiving confirmation of my UNLIMITED IMAGE SEARCH trial, I unlinked my future billing on the Paypal website so I would not accidentally be charged if I decided I no longer wanted the service and forgot to cancel.

The company abused its access to the Paypal API to detect that I had done this, and immediately cancelled my 3-day trial that I had already paid for. When I contacted them asking that my access be restored, they 1) Falsely claimed that I had clicked through an interface on their website to cancel, and 2) refused twice to restore access or refund.

This is incredibly short-sighted, because I probably would have gone monthly. However, I refuse to give my money to sleazy crooks. I've already initiated a chargeback on my card, and will be submitting complaints to the FTC and the California AG.

Good afternoon since I found out about SOCIAL CATFISH in my involvement being caught up in a a victim of fraud and in a 3 1/2 year romantic scam cost me a fortune now this whole world is filled with people scamming people. I’ve enjoyed that I could search the girls to get a hold of me only to find out that they’re trying to scam you as porn stars and everything else I would like to ask for some assistance Erin if I can somehow get your take on these people on social media Facebook and such claiming they can help you get your money back I feel they were just part of the network of scamming. Can you enlighten me on that? I think it’s good to get that out there and let people know of that and I appreciate seeing at least 10 people a week that are scammers. It’s not so much Nigerians and Afghans and everyone else but the common white people throughout their own country I keep thinking about phoning you guys to try and get some help not only did. I lose money, but I grew an emotional attachment and fell in love with somebody that wasn’t real. I was notified by a young fellow in Nigeria, who was visiting from Ghana, overheard the conversation he knocked the information and phoned me told me I was being scammed. It’s hard to believe I knew the red flags right from the beginning, but I was just hoping it was gonna be real. I kept feeding the money and I lost a fortune probably more than you you’ve heard and I don’t know what to do about that. I lost my wife four years ago, so of course I knew I was a widower. The service has been phenomenal. I feel lost without it. I know they’ve helped a lot of people.

I mainly use the website for reverse image search. I subscribed two memberships one with reverse image search and another without it by accident, they didn’t allow me to cancel and refund one of them.

I accidentally signed up for a membership with Social Catfish, and ERIN at customer service helped me resolve my issue promptly and easily. The experience with ERIN was excellent and superb.

This site is a total scam. I do not believe for a minute that the reviews are real. They stay in business by charging almost $7 for a free 7 day trial.

I was in a situation that just begun, I have been alone firearm long time but also involved in a long battle with issues of severe anxiety, mild depression and ptsd. I met someone online that I thought was different and used all the right knowledge that I had looked up, and also included a fake travel agency to help me with getting her a tourist visa. The package along with a police/embassy interview ended up costing me 3400 dollars. But then this is where they started to keep on adding on but still using the right information. I just started to feel uneasy because as a business dealing with this you would of been able to tell me up front about this so I messaged social catfish gave them the name and 2 pictures I was given and boom she wasn't who she said she was, then the person assigned to me set up some links to find out exactly where they were communicating from. The best part of this was that the person helping me, listened, understood and was compassionate to me. Realized that it wasn't easy for me going through this but guided me and helped every step of the way. So if you find yourself in a position like this regardless of how deep, look these people up, get the help you deserve. They our worth it and so our we.

If this site was based anywhere else in the world it would be shut down under consumer protection laws. They'll take your email and sell it before they even tell how how much a search will cost. They have a YT channel with a "show" that investigates whether someone's internet partner is real, under the guise of helping people - but is a blatant advert for their business interests. Nothing wrong with that done properly, but the website is clearly designed to pull in the type of lonely and delusional people that feature. It is really is disgusting and I'm surprised more people don't see it for what it is. It's cruel, it's wicked and it stinks of the worst of American greed.

Put in a call to customer service. The customer support agent was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, listen to everything I had to say. I didn’t find out everything I wanted, but I am happy I got to speak to Erinn I will use the site again if I need.
