While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

After well over 10 years I'm kicking Sogo Trade to the curb

I've had Sogo Trade for years, before it changed from Genesis and bought another platform. It has been crap for years. The website is very clunky and not user-friendly at all. It's damn near impossible to find what action you want within a few keystrokes or minutes, just making a simple trade (sell or buy) is awkward and cumbersome. And now I see I have been charged "margin" fees for months, damn near emptying my account! I have continuously sold positions just to maintain a zero cash balance, I finally decided I am just tired of dealing with this brokerage and interface so tried selling my positions to close my account. NOPE! I had to email HELP, was informed they "have added this security to our trading platform and you should be able to enter orders now" WTF! For what reason! You can charge me over & over but I can't use the simplest of functions?! What a joke. Bye.
Use IBKR or even Robinhood, if you need simplified UX, real time info and want to execute your portfolio without having to request basic unlock functions.

Shorting is a SCAM

SogoTradingis a SCAM. They won’t let you withdraw your funds until you deposit the same amount you are withdrawing as a security deposit. All of your profits are lost. Do not trade with SogoTrading. This is the worst investment I have ever made. I should have stuck with Crypto and not left their site.
