Great with all aspects of the installation and trustworthy company. The team were very efficient and knowledgeable. Throughout the process they went above and beyond to ensure I was updated and happy with the installation. They resolved all the issues left by my previous installer. I have no hesitation in recommending this firm, their work is of the highest standard and their customer service is excellent. I would give them 10 stars if I could!

I went with Sol4r Energy after recommendation from a neighbour. I saw the quality of the install and was impressed.
The whole process from initial discussions with Max the Sales Manager, to the quote and installation was quick, pressure free and painless.
The install day was very impressive with 4 guys turning up at 08:45 and working until 17:00 to complete the install in just 1 day.
I am very pleased with the end product and it makes more electricity than I expected.
Even the scaffolders were pleasant so overall a great job, just need more sunshine now.

In November 2023, I wrote a five star review following installation of a GivEnergy system. However, after repeated requests for support when my system went down, I had to contract with a different installer and spend over £1,200 to get my system back up and running. In total, it was down for 7 weeks during the very sunny weather in May and June of this year. As a result, I felt the need to update my review to one star.

Sol4r Energy failed at every step to assist or support me. Unreturned voicemails, unanswered texts and a WhatsApp message which has never been read. I was told they would speak direct to GiveEnergy on my behalf, I was told they could suppy the name of a local Solar Engineer and I was also told they would get back to me - they did none of these things.

I live in Yorkshire and I would warn potential Sol4r Energy customers who live outside London to find a local installer. It's not just about the installation, it's about professional post installation support and this company has failed me on many, many occasions. I have now transferred management of my system to a GiveEnergy approved Platinum Installer and the difference in support and responsiveness is like night and day.

Solar panels are a massive financial undertaking, choose your installation engineers wisely, particulatly if you live outside London.

This company are very responsive and efficient. From initial proposal through to post installation, I was impressed with the capability and courteousness of all Sol4r Energy personnel. They went the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction, including carrying out minor repairs to my roof which were not part of the contract. The installation was neat and tidy and so far it all functions as expected.

System performs as designed, process was very professional and price was competitive,interaction was very positive.

The service was very good, they fully explained the process of how it works. The installation of panels, inverter. battery and connections went smoothly. People worked on site were all professionals.

Great service from start to finish from the team. Both Salah and Sonny did everything from helping understand my usage & needs, and then designing a system (and choosing the right technology) that has been perfect for my home. The install process was excellent with communication and handling of any issues done very well. Aftercare has been especially good, which I don’t think you’d get from a lot of companies. I would not hesitate in recommending Sol4r for domestic installs of solar and batteries or other green tech.

Overall I would give Sol4r Energy Ltd 5+ Stars as they exceeded in every area I think was important to me in relation to getting solar Kit installed for my home. I would highly recommend Sol4r Energy Ltd from personal experience and the market research I personally did before selecting them.  I'll try to update my review in few months time and then during winter to share any cost saving impact or user nuances I may have come across.

1. Experience - I believe the benchmark Sol4r has set is extremly high and don't think there would be many in the market who can deliver with the speed and ease Sol4r has.  I had done my homework and compared the order to instal cycle across providers you will come across when you do a Google search,  and to name a few - Avanti Energy, Otovo, Fusion8, Eon, few other local providers as well.  Most of these providers will give you a 2-3 month order to install cycle and tell you that a DNO application (G98 or G99) will take time hence the timelines.  Let me tell you that these timelines are to manage their supply, inventory and installation timelines and not really related to delay from getting the DNO approved.  You should call your local network provider and find out the process and timelines before you award a company your contract.  If you make it conditional that they provide you a copy of the DNO application as soon as you have made the deposit, you will see that most of these companies will not.  The only exception is Octopus Energy Solar panels which were very transparent and could get the DNO via a fast rack same as Sol4r Energy Ltd.  My advice, do your homework on this area more than what kit you want to go with.  Sol4r we're very transparent and did deliver from order to installation within 1 week.  So 5+ Stars on the experience aspect from me!
2. Solar Kit -  its not just about the panels, its about the full kit which includes panels, inverter, battery, bird protection net, optimisers, App, warranty, etc.  You need to know your own consumption data from your energy provider and then based on your needs and budget decide which would be the optimal kit. Most providers will help you understand this but you should keep in mind not to just go with a standard of the selve kit, you should work with them to understand and design one that meets your requirements.  It may sound a lot of work but if you know your energy usage and your key objectives it's easy to get a kit designed.  I would personally emphasise more on the battery pack and not just the number of panels.  Again this is an areas where Salah from Sol4r comes in as he brings a massive experience which reflects when he designs your home kit.  I learnt a lot from him and as of now I can say the kit he has designed for us meets all our short term requirement and there is already a plan in place to further add to the kit in a year's time.  So 5+ Stars on the Kit design and selection process to Sol4r Energy Ltd.
3. Installation - Forget the myths about how long installation takes and that work cannot be done in a days time.  As long as you have a roof that is fit for solar panel installation and space to house the battery and inverter kit the installation process should not be more than a day. Most providers can instal solar panel system in a day but most of the companies contract the installation out to third party.  What makes Sol4r Energy Ltd is that this process is managed in-house by their team.  In addition to the installation it is the cabling and wiring bit that is also important.  For our house Avatar from Sol4r Energy Ltd did this bit himself.  He is truly and artisan setting up the electrical and battery/inverter pack neatly innour chose place.  Sol4r Energy Ltd team did all this in a day's time, the were there at site early and by evening they were done.  Because of a challenge with some other work my builder was doing Avatar had to come back next day morning to complete the electrical but this was done in no time.  Most other companies would either charge you extra or take longer if they needed to come back again but not Sol4r Energy Ltd.  They layout of the panel in the roof was also done nicely to use only two of the roofs for full 16 panels, therefore optimising the output.  Avatar provide a full end to end explanation of they system, electrical works and what to do incase of trouble shooting (call him).  5+ Stras on installation process to Sol4r Energy Ltd.

We had our 26 panel and battery install a couple of months ago. The entire process from quotation to installation was very well managed by Mr Salah Khan. The install was done to a very high standard. The company went over and beyond what is required of them, including speaking to my energy supplier (with my permission) to get me on the best tariff for feed in and EV charging. I would certainly use them in the future and recommend them to family and friends.
