Solar-Sherpa.co.uk Reviews

This man covered everything that you needed to know when looking to get a solar System from thinking about it to years after you have had it installed. I can't thank him enough for all the excellent daily emails, each one a different set of does and don't. The solar industry is a minefield and this man helps you to find your way through without any hiccups. Solar Sherpa is an invaluable source of information and I very strongly recommend everyone thinking about a solar system to read and follow the advice and you will not go wrong. Thank you Solar Sherpa for all your help.

Comprehensive guidance, full of very useful information covering all aspects of solar panel installation with no hard sell. Very polite communications.

Provided an unbiased opinion of selected quotes for solar systems and helped with a very difficult decision; fab

Excellent information which enables us to make informed choices

Great website for choosing solar panels! It made the process easy with clear comparisons, helpful guides, and accurate pricing. I found exactly what I needed without any hassle. Highly recommend for anyone looking to go solar!

I needed to get up to speed pretty quickly on solar, and your site guided me to the important issues I should know about. Great job.

Totally brilliant explaining everything that is pertinent to understand.
Sending in separate emails is pure genius, as it would be overload if it had all come in one email.
If anyone is thinking of engaging with a solar panel supplier, contact the Sherpas, first.

Learnt alot about Solar and what to look out for.

With solar panels going to decorate your roof for the next c.30yrs, and the ancillaries (inverters, battery, etc) having a 10-20yr and with the cost involved you want to make sure your investment is sensibly undertaken.
Thank heavens I stumbled across Solar-Sherpa from a Google search. They have been great at demystifying the complexity (& bullsh*t) of some of the options you get presented with. They provide great bite-sized insight emails that chunk out the details in a clear and meaningful manner. Additionally, they passed my enquiry to 3 supplier/installers who provided more meaningful quotes than the two I received from major utility companies.
I have now accepted a quote for 22 solar panels, 14kWh battery, 6kw inverter, emergency power system, etc.. Currently waiting for the DNO approval process to complete and then get the works undertaken.
Expectations are for a c.7-8yr payback and hopefully less

Solar Sherpa provided lots of relevant and clear information. Alex was thoroughly professional and helpful - thank you!

Useful information in all aspects of the decision-making process.

Sensible researched advice on all aspects of solar from what is likely to be needed, what to look for from installation companies, advice on best practice and what to look out for. Emails are informative and clear. So helpful in what can be a minefield of info that isn’t always correct from some sources. Recommended installers list provided. We used Ask Renewable Solutions who have been brilliant and we’re now up and running on our solar journey. Thank you for the help throughout with clear understandable sensible advice through a number of emails which were all useful. Would highly recommend using solar sherpa if you’re considering exploring solar installation.

Solar can be complicated with so many options out there. Alex me made it so much easier to understand. Great informative weekly emails to guide me through the journey.

I didn't know much about solar technology at all and some advice I would have followed anyway, like getting several quotes.
Having said that, the checklist was really helpful and even the bits I would have done anyway didn't hurt to have reiterated. It felt as if someone was on my side, held my hand and that was worth alone reading the mini course. I really appreciated having some things explained which I then could research more. Not needing to become a solar engineer myself was a bonus while quickly understanding the salespeople language and being able to ask concise questions they seem to try and fudge over.
For me the fact that two companies were suggested also worked well.

Extremely helpful guide which enabled us to choose a solar company that we could trust would provide the right solution at the right price - helping us to avoid the "solar cowboys".

I not only received useful recommendations for 3 local firms, saving me a lot of research, but I also found their emails really useful, breaking down the various issues to consider into bite-sized pieces. A lucky find at just the right time when I was considering my options for solar installation. Works now just about to go ahead!

Excellent advice, given at the exact moment I needed it on my solar journey. Thank you

I started from a baseline of knowing very little about the ins and outs of solar power when I started thinking about getting some solar panels. Solar Sherpa have given lots of info, advice and tips on how to navigate through this jungle which is much denser than I initially anticipated. My only slightly less than positive comment is that some information about certain aspects is drip-fed in separate emails when it would be useful to have it all at once. But I now feel much better equipped to assess quotations and ask the companies the right questions.

Very useful resource if you're considering installing PV on your roof. And you should!
