Years of Fees, Yet Still No Fully Functional Platform
I hired SolidAppMaker to develop the ARC software platform through several development agreements, followed by a separate maintenance arrangement. Unfortunately, my overall experience was deeply disappointing.
Although substantial work was performed and applications were published, I continued to encounter unresolved functionality and technical issues that, in my view, related to work already contracted and paid for. I also paid monthly maintenance fees for approximately 42 months while continuing to raise concerns about completion, functionality, and my ability to operate the platform independently.
SolidAppMaker maintains that its development obligations were completed and that subsequent work constituted maintenance, enhancements, or change requests. Based on my experience and the project record, I disagree.
My principal concern was the prolonged technical dependency. After years of development and maintenance payments, achieving an independent handover proved far more difficult than I had reasonably expected.
Prospective clients should define completion and acceptance precisely, distinguish defect correction from paid maintenance, establish clear delivery deadlines, and retain control of their source code, infrastructure, credentials, and documentation from the outset.
Based on my experience, I would not hire SolidAppMaker again and cannot recommend the company.
