solidfuelboilers.co.uk, overpriced work
Had the awful experience of having to use Solidfuelboilers.co.uk when I needed a fire brick replaced on my Rayburn Nouvelle. On the initial arrangement of a date to complete the work they tried to suggest a service was required at a cost of £140 + vat which was declined. The cost of the brick being in the £30 bracket I was prepared for a cost of around £100.
The engineer arrived late and then proceeded to carry out the work which involved chiselling out the old brick and fitting a replacement and sealing with fire cement, less than an hours work if he hadn't talked so much.
When I went to pay I was shocked at the cost, surprisingly £140 + vat. I would't use solidfuelboilers.co.uk again if they were the last company on earth. Overpriced, poor customer service.
