Excellent customer experience…

I had an excellent customer experience with Sonabikes. Paul was great help with very fast response time and he organised everything for me to get my bike in no time. I can highly recommend Sonabikes

Sona bikes - The best in Ireland - Highly Recommended

Stress free and easy experience!

I purchased a bike with Sona through the Cycle to Work scheme. It was very stress free and easy to organise. The bike was shipped to me in Donegal as Sona are based in Dublin. I would highly recommend using this company if you are in the market for a bike!

Highly recommend - Sonabike purchase recently

I ordered a ladies city bike recently online with Sonabikes, Paul sorted it all out for me, answered all my questions and also organised a child carrier to suit my bike and my husbands. I was worried initially ordering a bike online but I'm really happy with the quality and look of the bike. Definitely recommend Sonabikes for quality bikes and service

Missing accessories and parts not fitting

I received my bike (I ordered through bike to work scheme) 3 weeks after ordering. The package came with the bike and a number of accessories. The first thing I noticed was two of the accessories were missing from the delivery including the wireless computer. There was no mention these items would be missing. When I attached the front wheel it was rubbing against the brake callipers. Also the rear brakes weren’t working which I managed to adjust myself. I brought to a bike shop who told me the tyres were too big for the bike and also the front brakes had not been fitted adequately. As there is no longer a phone number for Sona I had to wait for a response by email from Paul who told me the bike shop were wrong on all counts. The bike had 100% been checked and was safe and in working order. I sent a video of the wheel catching, in which I got the response that actually they realise now, there is a problem with the wheel. (no apology) I am then told the 2 accessories that didn’t arrive were not in stock at the time and they were going to send them later on. Just forgot to mention this to me? I would certainly not recommend this company to anyone.

I was not informed that the missing accessories would be missing or sent after initial delivery. I asked Paul via email twice to contact me on my mobile to discuss the issues I had which he declined to do. Emails have been going backwards and forwards (24 in total) in which he disputed anything was wrong with the bike before doing a u-Turn and decided they had made a mistake with no apology. I refused to send the bike back as I explained I had no inclination to deal with him or his business any further. I instructed him to send my accessories and I would get the bike sorted myself. I have very little time due to being busy in work myself it would be quicker and probably safer to get it dealt with elsewhere.

Customer was notified of the delay when order was placed. Covid has resulted in delays and shortages of bike and parts globally which we have no control over. When the bike was ready we decided to ship it without the 2 accessories in order to get the bike to the customer ASAP. This is common and we always send anything outstanding afterwards. We accept here was an issue with the bike but customer failed to mention we offered to collect the bike from his home and resolve any issues and deliver back to him, which he declined. Also, offered a full refund, again declined. Issue was raised with us and these options were offered the same day but customer is not prepared to let us rectify the problem.
