Big Disconnect between Restaurant and Corporate

My family and I were out of town and went to Store# 2632 in Nortpoint, AL. We did an online order to be picked up. The carhop came out to advise they did not have any more fish sandwiche available and asked if I wanted a burger instead. Problem is I only eat fish. I immediately asked for a refund, since I don't eat beef or chicken. He advised since I placed my order through the app, I had to speak with them. I immediately went on the app requesting a refund, they connected me to chat via text. That representative advised that they cannot issue partial refunds and then asked if I wanted an offer for a free burger. Again, I don't eat beef. They said they would escalate it to the store to be further reviewed. I called Sonic corporate/customer service several times. Corporate/customer service would tell me that I had to speak with the store. The store would tell me that customer service would have to take care of it, since ordered on the app. Customer service escalated the issue approximately 3 times and would not get a response from the store. I finally caught the GM at the store and she put me through the same cycle. At some point, someone needed to take ownership of the issue and refund me for food that I did not receive. I have never had to fight so hard for a refund in my life. I took a month. And I am still not satisfied, nor was the issue really resolved. I accepted the $10 credit, which I did not want because I had to do something to recover my loss. I live in Kansas City, KS so requesting me to come back to the restaurant in Alabama was not an option. Just as Sonic took my money, they should be able to refund it. The restaurant should not have given me the option to order something that was not in stock or not available, the app should have been updated. I fought for a month for a refund for food that I did not receive. I am so not pleased. I will let my kids use the $10 credit and then never ever visit another Sonic, since no own can ensure you get the food that you paid for or compensated when it is not available. I went through the drive thru and order…

I went through the drive thru and order chicken tenders. I asked the cashier if I could park in a spot to eat? She said sure. My chicken was rock hard. I pressed the order butting explained and the manager apologized and cooked a fresh batch of tenders and brought it out to me himself with no issues . Outstanding! Thank you so much.

Lost a long time cusotmer

The only reason I came here several times a week was for the half off drinks when ordering in the app. That coupon wasn't there. I called support and they said it was replaced my a snack coupon. I don't want that. They made a ticket to have tech team possibly change it on my account. Until then I'm leaving this 1 star review. I literally pulled out the Sonic parking lot to go eat at McDonalds instead over this. They've lost a frequent customer over trying to be sneaky with the drink coupon. Also, the app doesn't work a lot of the time.

I took my family again today to sonic…

I took my family again today to sonic in Lakeland Florida at 5030 Dave Robbins Wy, Lakeland, FL 33812. We had 2 previous bad experiences and we went back for a third strike or charm. My wife ordered our food, so when I opened my 2 sausage egg breakfast wraps, one was sitting on a napkin inside the wrapping, the other one wasn’t. My red flag went up asking why is one wrap laying on napkins. My wife took it back to the manager and she said that’s not possible because they don’t have napkins in the kitchen area, so I said you guys have cameras and how do you replenish the napkins in the lobby, and she said I’ll just make another one for you. I said make it with bacon, so they don’t remove the napkins and serve me the same wrap, she saw me standing at the counter waiting for the remake on the wrap, so she said I’ll bring it to you when it’s ready, I replied saying I’ll wait at the counter. So she loudly whispered to the cook that I was watching him, long story short, now I have to wait a few days to see if I get food poisoning to sue them. When I went for a refill on my drink, the manager spilled the drink on the side, and went in the kitchen to get napkins to wipe up the mess. I was like, is she the dumb or not to bright, because napkins was in the kitchen that she fetched. This location has went downhill, they never clean the lobby, always dirty, and the workers are so rude and loud, and they refuse to take any bills over $20, and they don’t have apple or google pay. And they don’t have no signage to specify that to the customers. I now will drive to the neighboring town about 20 miles away to eat Sonic’s. This location has poor management and horrible employees.

Won’t go back

I’m in Cypress, TX. When I got home, I discovered that I didn’t have Diet Coke. I had some other kind of drink maybe root beer I don’t know, but I threw it out. The french fries were too crispy. Possibly overdone, the flavor was not good. like maybe overused grease. The hamburger meat, just didn’t taste right. That’s the last time I’ll ever go to sonic. I’ll go across the street to Whataburger.

Don't waste your time coming here

Don't waste your time coming here. The employees don't even want to be there and they do not care about your order majority of the time. Every time i go it's like i'm willingly choosing to have a stranger order my food because the odds are insanely high they actually give me someone else's order. Even if they manage to get the order right you then have to hope it's all there.

Hell I wouldn't even leave 1 star but I git to in order to leave this review. Worst service ever.. they act like they can't do nothing right. I wanted a #3 with mayo cheese and lettuce only. Got to the window she says lettuce cheese and extra mayo. The hell i don't want extra mayo. Then she goes u still want the ketchup on it... look lady I want mayo cheese and lettuce ONLY. Then they gave us the wrong order at the window.. Rusk people SMDH.. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO THERE..

Went to Sonic and on the way home my wife noticed a
$1.39 charge that we did not make. We stopped by the next day and asked what that charge was for and they did not know. I asked for a refund and was told "we can
only give a refund on the same day the mistake was made." I told them they were a bunch of crooks and left!!! No wonder they have a one star rating.

Ordered through the app

Ordered through the app, came to the window and checked in, the screen said delivering and the order never came. After waiting for 15 minutes, I called and they acted like it was already done and they had forgotten. I’m still waiting for the drinks, it has been about 45 minutes. What is the point of coming here and waiting for the same time it takes to go purchase a blender, ice cream, and the ingredients for the drink and just make it at home. I should get a refund in time and money. This was at the Altamonte location.

I had to go inside and ask again. They had never started the order, so I was waiting for literally no reason. I will be calling and asking for a refund. This is ridiculous.

went to the north Melbourne Sonic at 7 pm on a Wednesday. Drove in and parked pressed the red button, got a message stating they would be right with me. 12 minutes later the button went dork so i pressed it again, and got the same message, AND 10 MORE MINUTE WAIT. Then i got out of the car and walked to the menu board in the outdoor seating area and pressed THAT BUTTON, and got the same message. waited at least 5 more minutes to get someone who took my order. Now, to clarify, there were 4 cars in the drivethru and two cars parked so it wasnt empty, but by no means would i call it even remotely busy. I could see the staff inside and none of them were going above a snails pace except the lady who was stacking prepoured soft drinks up on the counter. Both drive and park cars left without their orders. One drive thru car left the line without their order. It was 58 minutes from the time I pulled in til I got my order (4 smashburger specials). If i had not had to pay at the time i put my order in, I would have left and gone to Longdoggers. very disappointed in the service , because the burger wasn't bad at all. I wont be going back.

APP is busted and support bot is terrible

I need yall to understand that yalls mobile app no longer works. Spent 30 minutes trying to sign in. I have opted to go to another fast food place because of this. When I tried to find an email to leave feed back, I was greet by your incompetent chat bot that is abysmal to work with. Fix yalls app.

Long wait and wrong order

We just had a 51 minute wait since we ordered. 1st thing received ordered double bacon cheese no onions or tomato only ketchup. Gave me regular way Luke warm burger cold fries and also no barbecue sauce for the chicken pieces .girl even took our burger back in drive thru to see if it was right. Gave it back and said yea were good . Worst experience ever in fast food. I'm hoping corporate reaches out or I will never go back

Over prices junk food

Good afternoon, I would like to offer constructive criticism about Sonic pricing. My wife and I stopped in Bennett, CO, and order two sandwich combo's. First, I'm 74 years old, and remember McDonalds hamburgers at $.19 cents... I know, that was 30 years ago, and understand that pricing has increased. However, two combo's were $20.00, and the nerve to request a 'tip'. Gentlemen, here's a tip, King Soopers grocery store along with a McDonalds, Carls, Chester Chicken along with several 'mom n pop' restaurants share locations with your Bennett location. Now, I'll return to the sub quality meals. The fries ( portion control was the smallest cardboard container I've ever seen. The fries were hard, grease soggy and 'serial number' for the 10 or so count included. The chicken sandwich was a tuff as my tennis shoe soles. For the $20.00, King Soopers offers chicken strips, sides via their deli for 1/2 your cost. Good luck, were're never coming back. Please don't send coupons, not interested.

I can see why they have a total 1.5…

I can see why they have a total 1.5 star review!! They never get anything right! When I say two orders of something that means that I want to orders or something not just one I'm going to go look at my receipt I'm pretty sure that I paid for 2 large tater tots. Now my kids are sharing one cause I don't wanna drive back clear across town!!!
