I purchased a telescope as a Christmas gift from Sonora, and what I received was not what was advertised. What arrived was T70030M which, if Googled can be purchased for less that $60 on local sites. This product is shipped out of Hong Kong which arrived several days after Christmas and, after reaching out to them for a refund, they stated they could provide the following:
1.A refund of 3% of your order value while keeping the product.
2.Return the item for a refund, with the following conditions:
You will be responsible for ALL shipping costs (both initial delivery and return shipping to Hong Kong)
A 15% handling fee will be deducted from the refund
The return process takes approximately one month
Return shipping costs are approximately £35 (please check with your local post office for exact rates)
You must provide tracking information
Refund will be processed after we receive the item
Please note: If the international package is held by customs and cannot be cleared, we will be unable to process any refund as we have not received the returned item

I am deeply disappointed in this company and the overall experience I had with them.

There are a lot of negative reviews for this telescope but actually it turned up as described, containing all the accessories and actually works. Yes, it is not professional, but it is a decent entry level refractor with surprisingly adequate optics that allows you to see the moon and larger planets and some nebulae pretty well.
The stand is not robust, but you need to mount it on something and once set on an object you can see clearly.
The mobile adaptor allows you to take photos and the different lenses offer different levels of magnification. The addition of two extenders - a 1.5 &a 3x magnification factor - offers additional magnification.
This is also a pretty decent wildlife telescope too - we have seen ravens from around 40m away and been able to zoom on their eyes for a clear and rather poignant view.
I should also mention the price, as many have said it is not worth more than £50. I disagree. You get a lot with this package and I challenge you to find another refractor that includes all the accessories that this does for anything like this price.
As I said, it is not professional, but it is a good gateway device I to astronomy.

I had the same experience as other customers. They are selling cheap telescopes that can be found on amazon for a third of the price. And not the one that is advertised!

Scammers!! Bought a £170 telescope, the one that arrived was not advertised and worth £20, reported to my bank for refund. Avoid this company at all costs. Not UK based as lead to to believe, it’s from China. Absolutely disgusting behaviour

Fake UK company. This is a Chinese company selling overpriced cheap rubbish. I was about to pull the trigger on some sleep buds but discovered that the one main review is totally fake ablnd the company is in China. The returns process small print is a joke.

This company is China based - NOT UK. I wish I had read about this BEFORE I ordered. When I found it was Chinese, I immediately cancelled the order and was told in less than 24 hours, it was shipped. They promised to stay in touch with me but they have never responded to me emails.
DO NOT BUY FROM SONORA UK.

I am absolutely shocked with this company

1. Misleading from were they are coming from

2. The quality of the product is disgraceful worth less that 5 euro and I paid 80 euro

3. Customer service is appalling , will not issue a refund.

4. Scamming company they are pretending they are from UK or Ireland but this product comes directly from China

One star is too many. I too researched (clearly not enough) an easy to use telescope for my husband. I placed order and less than two hours emailed customer service to cancel, which is in their policy. I heard back that day and was told I need to email them within three days to validate my cancelation, which I did. Now I am getting no response. DO NOT buy anything from them! Scam!

This is not a UK company, they sell cheap tat at inflated prices. The goods are not as described and arrive poorly packaged and damaged. They do not respond to emails requesting to return. AVOID

I searched for reviews of best telescopes for a Christmas gift and landed on a review page which suggested a Sonora telescope as the best for beginners and experts - but often sold out due to great price and quality. I decided to purchase it when I saw it available on the Sonora website for £160. After very little dispatch information, it turned up today. In a thin plastic bag and a crumpled box, completely unprotected for delivery. Not a good start. The colour of the telescope is purple, and it doesn’t look the same as the website. I have now googled ‘F30070M’ telescope as this is what the box calls it - and found a You Tube video explaining what an awful cheap ($33 on Amazon apparently!) telescope it is. I’ve asked for a refund, and noticed they state they charge 15% handling fee for refunds, as well as expecting delivery costs to be paid. Consumer regulations do not allow for fees on refunds. So all round a complete con. Steer away!!!!

No communication after placing order. Goods arrived two week later. The cheapest of cheap earbuds. Non branded and budget made in china! Very disappointing, couldn’t possibly give as Christmas gift. Website definitely overselling the cheap plastic product and packaging.

Purchased earpods from this company. They are awful. Website extremely misleading. Should have noticed no customer reviews on website 🙄
