Sony BRAVIA 8 Series 164cm (65 Inch) - Scam
During installation, a Sony person came to my home and recommended some accessories like a microfiber cloth, a back stand rack for the TV, and a screen guard. I bought the microfiber cloth and the back stand rack for the TV, and last week I took the screen guard from the Sony installation technician named Poonam from Sonu Electronics, a Sony authorised service center, as he recommended that I take it further, as it's necessary to buy one to protect the screen, since it's a 65-inch OLED TV.
However, as soon as he installed the screen guard, minor scratches on the tv & a small coating were removed to the left of the screen due to the scrubbing done by him during screen guard installation. I immediately removed the screen guard, and on 2nd April 2026, I lodged a complaint with Sony. Is this how Sony appoints installation people, because of whom many scratches appeared on my TV., He should be removed from Sony immediately, so that he will not do the same to other Sony tv buyer.
When I lodged a complaint with Sony, Then they sent a Sony Engineer from Sonu Electronics Mira Road Service center from whom I have installed the TV The Sony Engineer who came to my house to take photograpgh of my TV is also a friend of Poonam, and he did not mention in the job sheet that ""The scratches & small coating occured by a Sony technician installation guy named Poonam during the installation of the screen guard, which was referred to by him as compulsory, as it is an accessory recommended by Sony"
The Sony Engineer guy told me, "Poonam's job will go if you complain to Sony that his family is poor. If you complain with sony, then he will leave the job & join another company & you have to bear the expenses.
What to do, I have spent my hard-earned money to buy a Sony TV now because of the Sony Installation person's fault, "Sony company is supporting their technician & asking me to bear the charges of the Display Panel of Rs. 123,506/-"
For reference, Ialso have some photos& videos of my Sony TV where scratches are clearly visible & some how I shoot video of Sony Engineer & Poonam after their fault, they both are trying to remove the plastic from TV screen to see that scratches will vanish if the plastic is removed from the screen, but they fail. There is no plastic on the OLED TV screen.
Stay away from Sony TV. They are supporting their technician and forcing customers to pay for fault carried out by their own technician. I request all viewers to please buy another brand of TV, otherwise you may face the same harassment that I faced.
