Basically a root kit
Installed on MacOS Big Sur. Bad experience, so wanted to uninstall. After uninstall Sophos is still loaded, so had to manually remove using Recovery Mode! The app is also malconfigured with Big Sur security practices. Terrible experience! Stay away!
I have paid for Home protection but Sophos have reneged
I have paid for Home protection but have just had an email to say Sophos have closed the account due to inactivity!! No explanation or discussion about the remaining 7 months cover outstanding. Appalling customer service -- on hold for 15 mins with overseas call centre with limited English language -- Sophos are a bad business to get involved with

Exactly the same support issues as "Zero Support for Critical Issue
I know the episode I will describe is hard to believe but I wrote a trouble ticket with Sophos on November 12th (Today is December 3). We have workstations that can't connect to the network or whose download speeds are extremely slow. I received an email asking me questions about the issues on the 13th from a technician. I immediately responded with answers. Then, I didn't hear again until the 19th. I responded again but didn't hear until the 25th. Now it is total silence. We have about a quarter of our employees using cell hotspots just to survive. I told our CEO that we are going to have to hire an outside Sophos engineer because clearly Sophos does not support their products (as evidenced by the reviews here). We have also put in place a plan to phase out all of our Sophos equipment and software over the next year. Our four businesses can't survive in a Sophos environment with virtually zero tech support.#

The Support is incredible worse
The Support is incredible worse. There is actual a bug in the IPv6 prefix handling. Then some indian support people calling me that understand nothing... and didn't read the ticket. That happend 2 times. Then i got an supporter from the UK but i have to show the same problem over and over for month now.

The customer support is pretty bad, with a pretty lousy attitude. No customer forums or community (afaik), so solving issues is really hard. But I think the product does its job, so 1 extra star.

I will never use them again. Their tech support is not good. Just don't bother using these guys.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service, rang 3 times said they were transferring me each time line goes silent then cuts off.
Slowed my mac and I can't uninstall it all! Be aware!!
Slowed my mac down and now I can't get rid of it. I've followed all the uninstall advice - from mac sites and Sophos - and some parts are still remaining. Since I deleted Sophos I can't empty my trash can either. Very invasive.. Don't use!
Patriarchal and cheesy

Signed up to a free trial of Sophos Home Premium. As soon as the trial expired, more my traffic to more than 50% of websites started bing blocked.
Needless to say I wasn't inspired with confidence so didn't convert to being a paid customer.
Warning, Sophos hack web sites
Thanks to Bing, I found out that Sophos had attempted to upload the following file onto a friend's web site: 171E92C18EEE40A29D1749C505091DFC_SOPHOS_WARN_PROCEEDED_FLAG
I reported this to them and they promised an explanation but I have not received anything.
That is illegal hacking. Do you really want to deal with a company that is involved in hacking?
From Well Respected Leader to another corporate pusher (seller)
Their home offering was good, but the recent changes have made it into golden wrapped crap.
Official updates for Java development (oracle), The Document foundations Libreoffice.org, Apache foundations apps and much more OFFICIAL app installers and updates are blocked by thier AI, and Exploit mitigation, the program is so highly sensitive that its changed my mind from renewing and submitting samples to literally wanting to uninstall it as soon as my paid period is up.
An AV should not INTERFERE with Daily operations!, an AV should have some LOCALIZED control in its agent not having to continuously connect to the cloud to apply a rule, why not make the agent sync with the cloud?
Why is support not usefull but a bunch of wasted time?
why can't i control my account not to auto-renew? without having to go to third-party billing partners?
why has sophos went with the american (greed) profits model and quality has gone to the dogs? what happened to the Brits model of providing a decent offering?
