Avoid this firm
Endless delays as we tried to re-mortgage. To the point where I wondered if it was deliberate! We left plenty of time, months rather than weeks, to do this. Sort Legal simply did not seem to know what they were doing. They asked for one piece of ID at a time, then asked for another a week or 2 weeks later. First my husband's passport, then later, mine. Weeks later his driving licence, but not mine. And then, some time later, my driving licence. What was going on? then my signature, witnessed as asked for, on a vital piece of paper, was rejected! WHY ask for a witness, if you are going to reject a signature? And it WAS my signature. No-one's signature is EVER identical. An identical signature is likely to have been traced and therefore be a forgery. Thanks to their slowness and delays I ended up opening a letter from our current mortgage company, threatening to take us to debt collectors! Extremely distressing. They just didn't seem to know what they were doing. Avoid!
