Only the cardboard box lets them down
Sous Chef are superb to deal with - all questions answered and all problems rapidly resolved. There is a good range of stuff and despite the high end items there is much of good value. In this area Hermes is fine. The local courier knows the places. I have given a 4 because, given the weight of many orders, the cardboard boxes used by Sous Chef are insufficiently robust for purpose and the paper wadding not enough to prevent movement. Luckily, my long-desired glass bottle of mauby syrup was intact. My box was slightly battered in places but the contents undamaged. I compared the flimsy Sous Chef box with the sturdy one used by Aldi to contain a piece of kitchen equipment. It's only the box stopped me giving a 5. I shall be ordering again.
