not a resident - they don't care
not a resident with Sovereign just someone unlucky enough to live near on of their properties.
for 2 years now a rusty old skip full of manky, grotty rubbish and topped with a crusty/soggy mattress has been sat outside one of Sovereigns properties. requests to get it removed have been ignored multiple time. try and talk to anyone from sovereign and they wont deal with you as you are not a customer.
just the worst. eyesore on a nice street. horrible company to deal with
Unprofessional, discriminating, rude
Well, im a tenant with SNG. Repairs that were needing to be done upon me moving here in May 2025 with Mark approving them after he came with previous tenants repair logs, they have not all be done.
Im waiting on a few things.
I've also had Paramount come out for my backdoor, and they requested it gets replaced. I keep calling, discussing this. Months passed and then I get 2 surveyors out when work for SNG (not a private contractor). They have told me NO to a replacement Back door. I mentioned the kitchen... they took photos and not heard anything back. I've mentioned other things, but again not heard anything back.
Yes ive made a complaint which I didnt want to, but no one is communicating with me. Its unresolved still.
Going forward, I had a phone call from someone.because I requested a tenancy transfer via Facebook and showed evidence that SNG does offer this. And no, its not for Domestic violence as ive also sought advice from CAB and The local council. The lady was rude and unprofessional. Then I emailed In a complaint. I get a phone call, I answered even though I said im angry etc. This lady was also rude.
No, ive not made another complaint, but i will be. Its not just about the Tenancy transfer, i was also asking about improvements in the home like a partition wall, extension for an extra room or a loft conversion but for SNG to sort it as i cant afford it and it benefits SNG and the property.
I suffer with Combined ADHD and Autism. My children also suffer the same.
I dont appreciate the lack of communication and the rudeness of your staff. This is 100% not ok. Also the discrimination and the judgement.
They only care about Profit, and not their Tenants.
The contact centre staff was not interested in helping. As I had a water leak issue from a neighbours property, but it did cause damage to my property. No workman ever came back to give myself a update when the neighbours issue was repaired. As no one was interested in the damage that it caused to my home. No one could be bothered to read any shift notes, not even the property team could even be bothered to reply back .Not even Within their 10 day time frame, that they set themselves. They all hid behind the GDPR excuse. It was Only when I said I was going to write to Mark Washer,CEO.To inform himself about the issue.(Which I have done before, and will easily do it again) That they then arranged for the damage in my home to be repaired. A poor Lack of communcation. They are only interested in their Salaries and bonuses, and not for the very tenants that they are here to serve.
Close them down asap
Needs be closed down they neglect there tenets leave them to be abused and attacked and do nothing there bunch of criminals who work here.

ABSOLUTE CROOKS took a £5000 deposit…
ABSOLUTE CROOKS took a £5000 deposit from us for a plot , paperwork states it was fully refundable if park home not commissioned . A plot was never offered , our circumstances changed no plot offered , a thousand promises made to us that the money would be refunded. They used every excuse imaginable, month after month after month , got very aggressive over the phone because we phoned when after promised it would be paid at the end of today etc month after month . IF they had stuck to their promise then there would be no phone calls to chase. Jeff is a nothing but a untrustworthy bully , Gary will promise you the world and once they take your money attitude changes. My husband passed away after a year of empty promises to refund the money
He passed away of a cardiac arrest and I believe the stress of it all killed him.
Even when I sent Jeff a copy of his death certificate and pleaded with him to refund the money as he did promise to in many occasions , I really needed the money to go towards his funeral , and I told him this
But he never did
If you Google Jeff Small you will find loads of bad press about him and court hearings
PLEASE don’t deal with this man you will get caught
Please google Jeff Small here is an example from f what you will find
MEET Jeffrey Small, a notorious landlord once described by one MP as a "latter-day Rachman".
He runs 17 park home sites from Hereford to Cornwall, where 1,200 residents live in static caravans and, some tell us, fear and misery.
Small, meanwhile, lives in a pounds 2.4million mansion near Taunton, Somerset.
Judging from his performance before the House of Commons Select Committee this week, he might as well be living on a different planet
Small claimed "we've inherited a lot of problems on our parks". But we've spoken to the residents' associations on seven sites that are run by J&B Small Park Homes - and all agreed they have deteriorated under his ownership.
Another unhappy resident is Barry Mayne, 67, who paid pounds 120,000 for a home in St Dominic Park, Cornwall, seven years ago. He was happy enough until Small bought the site three years ago and says "it's not properly maintained".
Now disabled and unable to manage the steps to his home, Barry wants to move out. Buyers offered pounds 98,000 last year and paid a pounds 10,000 deposit but, after speaking to Small, changed their minds.
Small had pointed them to the website of the JBS Residents Action Alliance, which is full of complaints about him.
Jeffrey Small of JBS Homes, and owner of Beechdown Park in Paignton, was convicted of acting recklessly over the sale of mobile homes. The court heard how two park homes at the site were situated on bases that were defective and not fit for purpose.
The residents of the site, some of whom are elderly and vulnerable, rightly look to the Council to protect them in such circumstances."
Magistrates ordered Small to pay a fine of £2,600 and £962 costs. He was also ordered to remedy all the contraventions with six weeks.
Sovereign’s excellent holiday booking
Sovereign’s Sharron was excellent giving helpful advice and help. Felt confident. All plans went exactly to schedule. Very impressive. Notification prior to and towards the end of holiday in Mallorca at the I’ll d’Or hotel port de polenca was spot on. No worries at all. She even booked our plane seats; the airline gave us different ones though! Just a little bit disappointing though.
Would use sovereign again.
Sovereign is a complete joke!
I give up on Sovereign. Who in their right mind would install scaffolding around flats to repair the guttering, tell no one in the flats you are doing it and then have the cheek to admit you don't know when the work will start and end. Its been here for 6 WEEKS! already and still nothing had happened. Is this a good use of money!? They would not do this is in their own home but are happy for others to suffer it. Utter joke of a company!!!!
Unable to wash properly
Sovereign housing should be ashamed of themselves promising a simple thing like a shower screen to be put on for an almost 80 year old lady.
My mother has waited since September 2024 for a shower screen to be fitted ,a disabled shower at that. Promised jan 2025 it aparently went missing.
Promised again may 2025 and no one to put the door on.
Now told July but wanted to move it to August.
What's sovereign going to come up with next ?
I've advised I'll ask the housing director if his mother is able to wash properly or stand with a sponge at a sink instead ?
Made numerous complaints, made numerous calls and still nothing sorted.what will sovereign come up with for July ?
Absolutely incompetent and works without notice
Absolutely incompetent
Left hand does not know what the right hand is doing
Incredibly slow at responding to requests for repairs and when they do decide to erect scaffolding they never bother to inform the residents, they turn up, access private land without permission and do whatever they want
Shocking landlord
Wish I could give no stars for this housing association. They dont do anything about neighbours harassing you. I guess my neighbours are in there pocket. Have to wait 7 months before fence can be fixed. Keep putting rent up and service charge up even though they don't do anything to warrant the service charge going up. I have been renting with sovereign since 2012 when I first moved in they seems really helpful and nice till a few years ago they don't want to know if you have a problem they cant be bothered. They are j ust interested in taking your money. I thought private rent was bad but this is worse. Unless you part buy or have brought your place they are not interested in helping.
Staircasing is a nightmare
I am trying to staircase to 100% and it’s taken 6 months. I am now at risk of extending my valuation a second time (another £400) and losing my mortgage rate which will increase as interest rates have since increased. Also, stamp duty increases on April 1st, another thing bearing down on us when this process should only take 3 months to complete. I tried every solicitor recommended on the website and they all declined or did not respond. I’ve stressed the timeline with them over again. Do not go into shared ownership with Sovereign, especially on a new estate.
netz very hard working very passionite…
netz very hard working very passionite about her work excelent customer service brilliant smile very funny polite friendly kind reiable trustworthy friendly to talk to always delevers brilliant customer service.
Shoddy workmanship
0 stars because We have a leak in our roof for the past ten years we have had sovereign out several times saying the leak has been resolved which it hasn’t as the damp mark is getting bigger every year and also we require new windows as the ones we have are 30 years old, cracked around the edges, mold growing on the edges and condensation in between the glass panes they drilled little holes in our windows to help the condensation but it’s now 1000 times worse yet other houses that are younger are getting new windows why aren’t older houses it makes no sense I would advise everyone to never have a house owned by these idiots.
I would give zero but it doesn't allow…
I would give zero but it doesn't allow you to.
Moved into a mutual exchange. Lack of maintenance and massive list of issues wrong with the house . Almost 30 years and in disrepair. And nothing been done
So many issues, so many e mails.
Soverign do not even reply to complaints through their so called complaints procedure, bad plumbing, mouldy Loft, previous historic leaks, ki internal doors down stairs, drainage problems . contractors confirmed my windows have ' had it, almost 30 year old, lost thermal covering , and lost all seals and not air tight , house is cold even with full heat into the house, so many issues .
Soverign does not care about their tennants . They do not fix anything, they just ignore you. No one signs anything off
Surveyor come out , a quote was done, the work was reported
Asbethos reports done before windows installation and still nothing about my windows ...just ignored when I ask
I'm now going to a solicitor for housing disrepair . Nothing done here in nearly 30 years . This is un doubly the most shocking housing association I have ever encountered. No duty of care what so ever just totally shocking service. You should be fully investigated for your processes as I've spoken to several people in the borough you leave houses in such bad disrepair and force tennants to live in unsatisfactory condition, disability or not
You are constantly in the press for your failings however you are still failing and bad press seems to mean nothing
Shame on you
Where do I start?
Where do I start? Early Sept, when I did not have any heating on, two radiators were belting out heat. I reported it straight away. Over time, on different occasions, three contractors have been sent out. Two of the three said the unit was old and had run its course and now a part internally had rusted. Bear in mind this happens regularly over the years and same response. Nearly three months on and a vulnerable adult living on the premises, it is still not repaired. I have made a complaint to Sovereign, contacted the Ombudsman and finally the local MP. Strangely enough, a couple of hours after messaging my MP, the head of dept rang me to say they were waiting for parts and hopefully repairs will be mid week. Also, he was sending some oil radiators over last Friday/Sat. Needless he did not (no suprises there). As a goodwill gesture he would give me £15per week for the time this has been going - a month, he said!!! More like three months and still going..... Requested compensation as my electricity bill has rocketed using original fan heaters, mental health dropped as getting nowhere fast and the rest. They have no respect for their renters and do not care. Why should they when they know people need homes, they have the upper hand and do or should I say do not do what needs to be done. If there was a negativestar or more then I would be the first to use it. Shame on you Sovereign (SNG). One more thing, since I have rented from then there have been several changes in names and management but the service does not get any better.

Not very good housing association
Bullying and lying
you'r out and lie to do it. Just less than 2 week from my mum death. There was no sorry for your lost . They just wanted me out of my home which I live with my mum for over 35 years house . And they bullied me and mum when she was alive . And now it worser lying about me . And bullying to get what they want. Me out of my home.
Liers and cheats who don't give a damn.
SGN IS the worst Housing Association there is, they will lie to you, they will not carry out their responsibility as a landlord. My story began some 14 years ago when I moved in to the property there has been many times when they have pushed the boundaries to the very limit like the time I was left for 6 weeks without hot water and I was told by an office woman "what's the problem you have a kettle don't you" my more recent story began some 5 weeks ago after the bathroom light would not work, after 5 weeks an electrician turned up outside the appt time and proceeded to repair the broken light which was situated on the bathroom wall, the electrician totally demolished the bathroom wall in attempting to fix a new light fitting, when I asked after leaving him to carry out the work, what the hell have you done he simply replied I was trying to fix the light fitting to the wall but the wall is weak, to which I replied it was OK before you arrived !! After many phone calls to Sovereigns office to have the work carried out to a satisfactory condition I am now told I have to wait 5 weeks until we can have a electrician return when I said what about the wall they just said the electrician can repair that.....and so the wait goes on to a vulnerable Tennant who suffers from severe eye condition.
