A phone clamp that drops your phone... seriously?
I trusted SP Connect’s reputation and bought their universal phone clamp, expecting a reliable and safe mounting solution. Instead, it turned into a disaster: by the fourth use, my phone fell off, even though the clamp was fully tightened and used exactly as instructed.
There was no shock, no aggressive movement, just regular riding on a simple road. The clamp simply let go of my new phone, which fell and shattered.
This product failed to perform its basic function: hold a phone securely. I recorded a video clearly showing that even with maximum tightening, the phone can still be removed with minimal effort.
To make matters worse, when I contacted the retailer, there was no acknowledgment of the defect, and absolutely no offer of compensation or goodwill, despite the obvious risk this design flaw poses to users’ devices.
For a brand that prides itself on “secure mounting,” this is both disappointing and unacceptable. I expected better from SP Connect. I will not be buying from them again and I’d advise others to be extremely cautious.
