He teaches me, not a curriculum

¿Qué más? Mi nombre es Tee. Soy de Philadelphia.

I’ve worked with other Spanish tutors. Brandon and his team are the first one’s who figured out how I learn and then built the sessions around ME! No cookie cutter curriculum over here. He teaches me, and I feel the difference every session (even the difficult ones) and his booking process was super easy.

Flexibility is where it shows up most. He comes in with a plan and changes it on the spot when I bring him something I actually need, a phrase I keep stumbling over, or a situation I want to be ready for. One question tends to crack open an entire new grammar concept. He does not protect the lesson plan. Learning Spanish is the goal and everything else bends toward it. He’ll offer a different angle on something and it suena bien to me every time, because it works.

He is extremely patient in so many ways, making it safe to be wrong out loud, which is most of our work together when since I’m speaking a new language. I say déjame pensar a lot. I say déjame ver even more. He waits. No rushing, no finishing my sentence for me. When I ask ¿cómo se dice...? or ¿qué significa...? he gives me the answer and the reason behind it, so it sticks. And when I ask ¿dije eso correctamente? he tells me the truth, kindly. He explains something about how the language actually works and I’m sitting there saying es la verdad, because it is.

The community around him is just as strong. Live classes for every level throughout the week, so there’s always a room to walk into no matter what level you may think you are on. Miss one and you’re not behind. Feel shy and you can still show up and simply listen. The Friday podcast is an interesting listen además. On its own, it keeps me in the language between sessions.

Estoy aprendiendo español y mejorando cada día. This sentence is true because of how he teaches. Estoy contento with the progress and estoy emocionado about where this continues to go!

Highest rating I can give. I would give 10 stars if I could. Igualmente to anybody thinking about joining. You’ll be glad you did. I totally recommend. Suena bien, and it keeps sounding better cada día.

Wonderful and Fun Classes

I have only taken Train Your Spanish Brain group classes for a couple of months but I have improved and am feeling more confident. I came in knowing some vocabulary but now I am able to speak in complete sentences.

The teachers are absolutely fabulous and the other students are encouraging. Before these group classes I was only using phone apps. While the apps are helpful, they won't get you speaking fluently.

At first, I was super shy to begin speaking, but the encouragement from Brandon, Ivan, and the other students made it comfortable. The atmosphere is lighthearted and joyful and there are wonderful learning moments as well as a lot of laughter.

I appreciate the structure, where as a beginner I have access to four classes a week. All week we practice the same concept (but with different and fun exercises), so we get repetition to get a good foundation. I am planning to also attend the more advanced classes for exposure.

I wholeheartedly recommend everyone to try it out!

I have been a part of TYSB for over six…

I have been a part of TYSB for over six months now, and I have really found a gem. They are an awesome community that has helped me greatly in improving my Spanish. I love attending the classes and it’s amazing to see other student improve as well. The teachers are great and work well in pushing the students to speak Spanish. Brandon has found the key to teach others Spanish and I am delighted to be a part of it.

I Came to Learn Spanish—Now I’m Living It!

If you are reading this right now, this is your sign to join Train Your Spanish Brain!

I have been a member since December 2025, so it has been almost eight months, and I cannot believe my growth. I am not only speaking more Spanish. I am actually thinking in Spanish! I find myself doing things to improve my Spanish both intentionally and unconsciously because Spanish has become a natural part of my everyday life.

I watch Spanish-language programs that I love, like "Misterios sin resolver" and the oldie-but-goodie: "Destinos". I also rewatch some of my favorite movies, like "Boyz n the Hood" and "Ghost", with the audio dubbed in Spanish. What amazes me is that I can watch a movie in March and then watch it again in July and hear so much more. I can literally feel my comprehension growing. And that growth has come largely through conversation.

I take one-on-one classes with Brandon three times a week, and at this point, our lessons feel like chatting with a friend. The conversations are not superficial. We talk about our lives, our interests, our opinions, and what is actually happening in the world around us. Because the language is embedded in real conversation, what I learn sticks. This is authentic learning, not one of those gimmicky programs promising that you will magically become fluent in a month. Train Your Spanish Brain helps you build a real relationship with the language. Now, daily "practice" feels as natural (and needed :) as brushing my teeth!

More than anything, this community has taught me the importance of consistency and given me a safe place to fail forward. Learning a language requires experimenting, taking risks, and becoming comfortable with making mistakes. When you find a community where you can make those mistakes without embarrassment or fear, your confidence grows. And confidence changes everything. Literalmente, it changes your brain.

I am now practicing with native Spanish speakers in my city and even in my hometown. I start with the magical question: “¿Puedo practicar mi español contigo?” That one sentence opens the door, and every time I use it, I become a little more confident. I learned how to take those chances here in the community.

Train Your Spanish Brain keeps me accountable, but it is also low-stakes. You are not overwhelmed with "homework" or made to feel as though you are behind if life gets busy. The practice fits naturally into your everyday life. There is always something new to try, something to listen to, something to read, or someone to talk with. The more I speak, the more I want to speak. The more I speak, the more I want to read, listen, and learn. All of it works together.

I already consider myself a Spanish Brain in Training, and I cannot wait to see where I will be after one year, two years, five years, and even ten years. Just like yoga, strength training, my professional work, and even my first language, Spanish is a practice. I know that I will continue getting better because I am committed to showing up: locked-in.

As Brandon always reminds me, "esto es solo el principio". This is only the beginning.

If you made it this far, I think you are ready to train your Spanish brain, too! Come join us!

From beginner to holding conversations comfortably in 4 months!

I'd recommend Train your Spanish Brain to anyone, especially beginners and intermediate speakers, folks who've forgotten previously learned Spanish, and people who want to progress quickly.

I came in as an absolute beginner earlier this year. The daily "reps" (like in a gym but more fun) are posts with an easy lesson on the week's topic, and a question/prompt. I was encouraged to respond to the reps each day. It only takes a few minutes but it got me speaking and remembering what I was learning quickly. These daily reps also got me past my hesitation to speak Spanish. It got what was in my head coming out of my mouth if that makes sense.

I soon started attending classes even though I was nervous beforehand. They are small groups, taught by truly gifted teachers, and they also focus on the week's topic. This week is Simple Past/Pretérito, for example. Every class we end up laughing a lot together. We all get a chance to speak and practice the topic. We play little games together too. Fun as they are, I learn a lot of vocabulary from them too.

The classes are available to view back for those who can't make it. There are also lessons in the "classroom" section that you can go through on your own time. There are one on one lesson options too, for an extra fee. Everything else I've mentioned is included in the monthly price.

The real key to this method of learning, I think, is doing a little bit every day and speaking every day, right from the start. The joy of it is the community, building friendships while we learn.

TL/DR: want to start speaking right away, speak Spanish every day, and take up to several classes a week with a community of friends? This community is for you!

Gain Confidence by Learning and Speaking

I was an early member to the Train Your Spanish Brain community. I have been able to see it grow from the classes run solely by Brandon Leach, to now the many classes run by native teachers Jorge and Ivan.

The classes are strategically run starting with a basic concept at the start of the week and building on the class as the week progresses. Those who are beginners and a bit shy can start with Monday's class and the classes progressively build until Thursday's when it is a solid intermediate level. However, any member can join any class and they will be welcomed and supported by other members in class as well as the instructors.

My Spanish has grown as I have many 'A-ha' moments in class when a concept finally sticks in my brain as the pattern is made obvious by the instructors.

I enjoy the comradery of the fellow members and the instructors as we joke and have fun. It is not a typical rigid class of memorizing grammar rules. The rule will be introduced and explained and then put into practice by speaking. Mistakes are explained and the members all benefit from the explanations as we work towards the common goal of becoming confident and fluent in the Spanish language.

The concept is easy, the more the members participate by coming to classes, watching the recordings (if they can't be in class in person), reviewing the materials in the classroom and being an active member in the community will all aid in building the ability and confidence that they are seeking to become a confident, fluent, Spanish speaker.

When the members put in the work by being present, there is no doubt that they can and will become a confident and fluent speaker of the Spanish language.

Life-Changing for My Spanish Journey

I joined Spanish Brain in late March with one goal: to finally become confident speaking Spanish after years of trying different methods. I can honestly say this has been one of the best investments I've made in myself.

What makes Spanish Brain different isn't just the curriculum—it's the community. Brandon Leach has created an environment where people from all over the world encourage one another, celebrate progress, and make learning enjoyable. Instead of memorizing vocabulary lists or feeling overwhelmed by grammar, you're speaking Spanish out loud from the very beginning. It truly feels like a gym for learning Spanish: the more reps you put in, the stronger and more confident you become.

The live classes, recorded lessons, daily speaking reps, and constant encouragement have completely changed the way I approach language learning. Before joining, I would often freeze when trying to speak with native Spanish speakers. Now I find myself having real conversations with growing confidence. I'm still learning, but the progress I've made in just a few months has exceeded my expectations.

Brandon is an exceptional teacher and leader. His passion for helping students succeed is evident in everything he does. He has built much more than a language program—he has built a supportive community where people genuinely want to see each other succeed. The native-speaking coaches also do an incredible job explaining not only the language but also the culture behind it, making the learning experience much richer.

As a healthcare provider, one of my biggest motivations was to communicate better with Spanish-speaking patients. Spanish Brain has brought me significantly closer to that goal while making the journey fun and sustainable.

If you're tired of studying Spanish in your head and want to actually speak with confidence, I highly recommend Spanish Brain. Whether your goal is travel, work, connecting with your community, or fulfilling a lifelong dream, this program gives you the tools, accountability, and confidence to make it happen.

Thank you, Brandon, and the entire Spanish Brain community, for creating something truly special. I'm excited to continue this journey.
