Expanding hose is not fit for purpose

Expanding hose is not fit for purpose. Buy a cheaper normal hose. Brought two expanding hoses, one lasted only two years, the latest, two months before weeping, i do not drag nor mishandle them. When i took it back to the garden center today, they advised me they have had loads of returns this year, so clearly a quality issue or just cheaper materials . Yep, brought a normal hose, last one lasted 13 years!

Fantastic. Jasmine is a customer service gem!

Customer service was the best I have ever had. The phone call to the helpline number was answered by Jasmine in 2 rings. She was wholly supportive and wrote an email to me within 1 minute of the phone call providing simple instructions to get a replacement product. Jasmine retained ownership of the problem from start to finish. A replacement for my faulty hose is now enroute. Thank you. Service was professional, rapid and simple.

Superhoze

Contacted Hozelock after I experienced problems with a 40 m Superhoze. The customer service I received from Chloe was amazing. A new hose was sent out to me immediately. Fantastic service, many thanks.

Do not buy a Hozelock hose reel

Do not buy a Hozelock hose reel. They are overpriced and of questionable quality.

We bought a 30m Hozelock Auto Reel unit during lockdown are very disappointed in it. It wasn't used a lot, but the auto reel mechanism is already broken, resulting in 30m of hose lying across our patio which is a health and safety issue. We do not have a receipt so have no claim on our warranty but I would expect something that cost over £120 to last a lot longer.

Poor overpriced products and poor…

Poor overpriced products and poor customer service. I bought a Superhoze at the end of last summer. Within 3 weeks it starts leaking. Took it back to the retailer and they replaced it. Within a few months the replacement is also leaking, exactly as the first one did. At the same time I bought a Jet spray, suprise suprise the button stops working after a couple of months and then the lever gets jammed. So both unusable. Contacted customer services to ask for help, but instead met with a inflexible attitude and spoken to like a child because I hadnt looked after my receipts safely to prove when I purchased it. I have read other reviews on this site and see the response is the same on many an occasion. Also that the issues I have experienced with faulty products has happened in the same way with others, and on occasion they have had a replacement without a receipt. I have offered to send the faulty products back but they are not interested as they do not do repairs apparently. So another load of junk to go to landfill ! Hoselock push the responsibility on retailers to replace items even though they are the company making faulty products. I suggest the customer services advisor that wishes to remain nameless but seems happy to be mentioned by name when she is getting praised, brush up on your customer service skills unless you wish to upset and lose even more customers and also brush up on your knowledge or the consumer rights act. I would suggest anyone dealing with this company contacts trading standards and lets see if they get the brush off so easily.
In regards to the reply by another customer advisor, I was not asked for both serial numbers only the one on the spray gun, which if its inside is impossible to find because its a sealed unit. I was not asked to supply a serial number for the hose itself. However the hose does have a serial number underneath the plastic section which is 25112020. I was basically just dismissed because I did not have the receipt only a bank record.

Anquet Maps Subscription Service

I purchased a pond filter which didn't work in a key function at the outset.(Jammed divirter valve which ment I could not clean out the filter and which is a key function of the device. It could only get better from this point and it did.I contacted the company via the help line and received pleasent help from the beginning albeit slow in understanding the fault initially, but following transfer to a technician he agreed to send a new filter head.This arrived in three days and cured the problem.

A one star (because none is not an option) for Hozelock thanks to Olivia Froome (as mentioned in other reviews) of Customer (Dis)Services. Shockingly rude and aggressive. Even more surprising considering that disability was a major part of our problem. I will be following up.

Ian in Customer Services was very…

Ian in Customer Services was very helpful today. We have a number of Hozelock products and know them to be well designed and reliable. Ian resolved a hiccup we had as we bought from a hughstreet store and wife had kept the receipt.

Hozelock

I bought automated watering controllers and they broke within a year. I tried to get replacement, but since I bought the controllers on eBay, warranty didn’t apply. If you are buying any of Hozelock products, buy from authorised sellers and not theirs party.

Hozelock customer service is rubbish

Got a new hose reel via Amazon but was faulty and spoke to Olivia Froome at hozelock to try get it replaced
I had to send a video and she confirmed it was faulty but she would not replace it unless I paid the postage
So very rude she was and obstructive
Never buy another product from Hozelock again
Going get one from Gardena

Best customer service i have ever…

Best customer service i have ever received.
I had a faulty unit ( Stupidly no receipt ). I was expecting to be told theirs nothing we can do. but spoke to Gain Brown who was fantastic. could not have been more helpful.
I would employ her in a heartbeat.

How to lose a loyal customer

I sent a request asking if replacement spares were available for my spray gun as the plastic lug had broken.

Thank you for your email, and I am sorry to hear that you have been having an issue with one of our products.

The issue that you are experiencing appears to be due to frost damage.

All of Hozelock products carry a frost warning sign (see attached) to indicate that they are not suited for cold weather.

Hozelock guns should be stored in a dry insulated area during the winter months or when frost may be present. When left in cold temperatures, the water inside the spray gun freezes, and expands, eventually forcing the trigger out of the gun, or causing cracks to appear.
I have since sent an email to Nicola Quinn and that has been ignored.

An amazing rude and presumption reply considering I only wanted to purchase a spare part.

I have had a reply from Nicola and amazingly she appears to be happy with Olivia's response.

Trying to order some spares

Trying to order some spares, on the website checkout my Country (Guernsey) is not supported, asked to email the support so I do.
I then get a reply stating that they don't ship to GERMANY!
I reply again stating I am in Guernsey, again get the same reply they don't ship to Germany!
Another reply asking if anyone reads the emails and stating again that I am in GUERNSEY NOT GERMANY!
After this I get another reply with exactly the same reply contact your local dealer in GERMANY! at this point I lost the plot and gave up and went to the GERMAN site, item in basket, sorry we don't ship to your country AAAAAAAAAAAA.
