Brand: Two tins and some string.

Expect to wait a few eons to reach customer support. Wouldn't even have to call them if their website worked. Tried to buy a roaming plan which took me to an error page. Get real with yourselves.

Most pathetic service provider ever

Most pathetic service provider ever! The staff at Westfield Newmarket Auckland store were so young,dumb and ridiculous. They have zero idea of what customer service looks like. Clearly they all there for just money rather than providing a good service. One particular skinny guy there was an absolute shit and refused to serve me saying I was rude to him. Well he deserved it. And there was another young Asian girl serving an Asian customer and she told her she was the store manager (clearly when she was not) and refused to serve her. She ignored the customer multiple times and put up a bad show for other customers. Her behavior was absolutely disgusting.She clearly did not know how yo handle her. Spark management please give your stupid staff some quality training. I am giving you a negative 10 rating.

Absolutely horrible

Absolutely horrible. Bought a SIM card and can’t put a travel plan on it. Please stay away from this company, there is no way to contact them with issues, phone waiting line takes hours and app is garbage. Stay away from them!!!

Spark useless inept communication

Spark has the worst ever methods available to communicate with them, a chat system where you have to scan a stupid QR code! A telephone system that is useless, oh and the suppose to be communication company? Really! Most inept contact centre .. don’t dare leave a message for them to call you as they answer with a text at 2 am in the following morning? Over priced mobile plans.. lack of easy communication- their rest password site fails at every attempt to rest. With a “something went wrong try again later “ message ..don’t bother with this USELESS INEPT OUTFIT! Plenty of other choices that are cheaper as well!

Terrible service

Modem faulty a week ago. Booked call back at the time. No call. Booked again. A call finally arrives. So many ID questions. Can't understand the agent. After hours they decide the modem has failed, but my wife is not authorized to pick up the replacement. Really? Ive wasted hours on this with the most expensive provider in NZ. Why does the service have to be so poor.

Poor service

Been a Spark customer 15 Years. Recently ordered a i phone online. As it turns out NZ Pist lost the parcel. They wrote me an email accepting fault/liability.
I liaised with Spark. Their investigations team were going to look into it. Fine.
12 days after this..still no phone/no remedy. I just wanted a phone. The other one clearly wasn't coming and I was being charged already.
In the end the sales representative at a store was able to put the same model if phone onto my account and cancel payments for the other one.
Surely this could of been resolved a whole lot quicker

Denied refund

I closed my account today surrounding the drama over a simple refund of a credit I paid. The audacity that flowed from Spark refund team declined my request via email to my own money, they thought they held power and authority over my money. A simple request to refund a portion of a credit on my account back to my bank was denied because they considered my reason "that it was my money" did not meet their criteria, as if I am accountable to offer up any reason at all for the return of my money, the fund weren't a promotion, just an AP i had running that paid into my Spark account. The day I forfeit my right to my funds will happen only "when my ass learn to chew gum" seeing that's not happening anytime soon... Accounts closed now they have NO choice but to refund my funds back to my account.

Lied to by customer services rep

Lied to by customer services rep and signed us up to a plan we didn't want. Told to us that it was a requirement before it could be changed to the plan we wanted. Plan was never changed, guess they hoped we would just let it slide. If this is a sales tactic I'm disgusted

Terrible customer service and no screen protector. Only expensive black cover. Most staff at dunedun branch need customer training except for one lovely lady. They were not interested in selling items and did not explain anything well. Service was terrible

One of the worst services that I’ve ever experienced. Rubbish, useless service, my efforts are down since this morning and I couldn’t even get it sorted. Only the name is big a s a service provider, I don’t know why is there a long wait to talk to someone when they are unable to resolve any issue. Many of my customers went back because of the fu##ing internet was down. Disappeared, useless……………

spark NZ can not return calls

spark NZ can not return calls, i thought spart was in it for communicating 20 years business customer and personal customer 47 years. yet don't have any sense of pride decorum decency to reply to have a manager supervisor to return a call,
looks like my business is not wanted by them they for get i have paid in advance for16 years and they used my money before my accounts were due every month.
if i run my business the way they return calls i would have been out of business many years ago!!!
This must be their future way to do business, OR NOT it is a total waste of time toy even phone them YES COMMUNICATION IS THERE SPECAITY yeh right LACK OF COMMUNICATION OR CUSTOMER SERVICE,
and i waited to even make contact only after speaking to ther support help desk, SORRY NON HELP now i know why it takes so long to speak to someone because thay are busy dealing with customers THEY IGNORE and do nothing about.
I BET I STILL DON'T GET REPLYIED TO AS I A CUSTOMER and looks as if you don't need us customers that's fine you are losing my money so many better offers anyway

USELESS!

If i could give them 0 stars, i would!
They are way too expensive. I am currently on a phone repayment plan that has calls, texts and data. I should have just stayed with 2 Degrees but at the time, they did not have my current phone in stock. Anyways usually with 2 degrees i can cancel my plan (calls, text and data) after 6 months and just pay the phone. Yet Spark cannot do it. They also said i could not change my plan, they say their $45 plan is the only one i can stay on. Definitely different from 2 Degrees. I will never come back to this company and will tell others not to as well. Maybe it is because i have only had great experiences with 2 Degrees, that switching to Spark was such a great disappointment. Do not choose Spark! Plus their customer service team isn’t all that great tbh.

Unhappy client.

I have been a spark customer for thirty odd years. And recently I purchased a roaming pack when I went to Australia. I was told it would cover my calss and tx. Then I received this bill for 233 dollars. Of course I was confused about this. Then phoned them and told them it was not explained to me properly about the pack.I must admit spark has put charges on and not explained it properly to me. I'm a pensioner that needs more explaining than the younger people. So it is with regret that I am changing suppliers. I went to a your opposition company and they explained it to me throughly and they were so helpful.

Spark is a scam

Spark is a scam, do anything you can to avoid them, even if it means learning how to set up and operate a telecommunications network yourself.

Cancelled my broadband on 1st August 2024. Noticed in my emails a few months later that I was still being billed - yes, I was still being charged $60 a month.

Called them in mid November - was told that yes I had given notice to cancel on 1st August but hadn't said I was moving house and so they had kept charging me. Was charged for 3 months extra in total.

Woman on phone was very helpful, and I was told I would get a refund.

Filled out a form to get a refund as required, and found a 'refund' of 88 Dollars in my account a week later. Therefore, I've been charged 3 months ($180) - assuming I gave notice on 1st August as they said and they charge you out your notice period.

Therefore, was scammed out $92. It was shown on their usage data graphs that zero internet traffic had gone through (I switched supplier) so they couldn't even pretend that I was being charged to use it - they could see all traffic had been stopped.

Will be reporting them to the telecommunications standards agency in the morning.

What can I say apart from there is nothing in the world that would make me ever create an account with them ever again. Such a shame NZ allows scam companies like this to exist with impunity.

I just rang a friend to wish him happy birthday. Is he pissed off. He is a relatively new Spark customer and has only been with them for 30 plus years. He wanted to buy a new phone as part of Sparks promotions. He was told he is not the legal person in charge of the account. He pays the account, had the phone in his hand, had photographic ID etc. He asked who was told the guy in charge of the account was Richard couldn't be told the surname. My mate figured out who Richard was. Seems when my mate arranged for Richard to collect a router form a Spark shop, Spark decided that Richard was the person in charge of the account. Spark won't listen and told my mate he will have to have a visit from a Spark audit person so he get his account back. Funny thing is Spark changed everything on a phone call but won't do anything when he turns up in person with enough ID to sink a ship. Well done Spark you bloody clowns

Spark rips off its old customers

I was with Spark since the very beginning, but as a loyal customer they just ripped me off. I wanted to upgrade my plan due to low speed, they said I need to pay in advance, that means I have no respite from paying bills. Speed sucked. Turns out I changed provider, they gave me new router and same speed is now working fine. When I gave them notice, they did not even try to offer me something useful to retain me as a customer for more than 15 years. I was paying them much more for basic plan, same cost as their highest speed and when requested to change, they created hurdles

Great services

Other then having a problem with a refund, I enjoy the services given. I say the prices are fair and that I've never really had a problem with spark infact I highly recommend to friends and family.

Spark hidden cost rip off . do not use their service

transfer from 2 degree to spark for preorder iphone 16, i get top plan unlimited to get discount on preorder but they offer 200 discount while one nz offer 700 discount so i move to one nz, then they rip me off with $199 bill plus $175 for disconnect as i use their service for 7 days. there are hidden cost and totally worse service , employees plus manager totally rip off.
i am going to report to fair go of the rip off service.
