Do you know the meaning of sparx? Exactly, this website is a child slavery system made to torture little kids like other people. One of my friends has autism and after spending 1 hour on his homework... See more

worst website I have ever used for…

worst website I have ever used for homework. Why my school decided to use this as a homework platform is insane. its not fun in the slightest and its not like its nice homework its very malicious in its own sly way. Another thing, if you get a question wrong it will swap it out and change the question after you have just worked a long time on trying to get the answer, it's highly irritating. And when you do get things wrong it doesn't decide to help you it just keeps you there until you get it write its very controlling and think this website should be should be banned. I hate Sparx learning and judging by the other reviews about this website, people have said the same sort of things I have wrote about. GET THIS SITE BANNED!!!

This website is one of the worst things…

This website is one of the worst things that ever happened to me. IT SUCKS. And a message to all schools: BAN IT IMMEDIATELY. I want to rip my head off every time I attempt to do my homework. If I could give it 0, or better negative, stars I would.

Sparx Maths has videos that it tells…

Sparx Maths has videos that it tells you to use yet the voices are really annoying and then you get it wrong a few times and it changes the whole question and don't get me started on the ridiculous codes. Why should i need to restart my entire homework because i forgot to write down one stupid code.

Sort of works, but there are problems

Sort of works, actually dont mind the sparx science (I have started recently but I'm sure I'll grow to dislike it), there is one fundimental floor with all of these. Your teacher will give it a time that they want you to spend on the homework (No. of XP/SRP) and the AI will make sure that you spend that amount of time on it. The problem is is that if you are being made to always spend the same amount of time on it, why should I strive in any way to become more efficient/fast at doing my work? In fact, it does the exact opposite, if you spend more time doing the questions, it will reward you with less of them. HOW DOES THIS MAKE ME BETTER?!

Sparx reader needs to let you choose your own books outright, there is no point in reading a book you are not interested in - J.K. Rowling said that. You shouldn't have to work hard (or get your teacher's permission) to get the privelage of reading a book of your choice (especially as less and less people are reading these days)

Sparx science simplifies the rules of science for you

P.S. Bookwork checks suck. JUEST LET ME DO THE QUESTIONS

NEVER USE SPARX!!!!!!!!!

I absolutely despise it! What kind of fool limits the amount of questions that we are struggling with for a homework? How idiotic! How imbecilic!

For any teacher/ parent reading this, your children/students don't deserve this much stress only the developer of this website does

And mark dixon if you think this website helps people learn, you're very wrong! All it does is create stress, and resentment. It literally punishes people for existing, not teaches. And also if sparx wasn't so annoying, would we learn from it? If yes, what justification do you have for making it so frustrating and stressful? If no, that means you see learning and something that is meant to punish students, not teach them.

It does not improve grades it just punishes me for going to school. And this is how you know you're a horrible company, you don't even listen to the reviews and take our advice. Disrespectfully this website is a waste off effort and I hope it gets banned, or hacked.

Absolutely appalling

Absolutely appalling, my child is under constant stress and has cried on several occasions because of this horrific site. I am prepared to take further action against "sparx" if it does not improve.

First off

First off, the UI is horrible - so is the navigating. Everything is too flashy and some things don’t even function properly. Also, the system is absolutely appalling. Torturing children to answer it correctly instead of a point system which would let children go through mistakes without being forced to which they can learn from it easier. Plus, bookwork checks - the worst of them all. They don’t even make sense; you already answer them on an online website.

This app is stupid

I really don't like this app, my school uses it, the book work checks are frequent on the homework and if you don't get it right it makes you do more, it forces you to get 100% completion and the questions get more difficult the more you get right and the videos are USELESS. Don't recommend.

Absolutely Disgusting. Ruined My Life. Read This Before Using The App.

Hello. I am writing to talk about Sparx.

The organization that RUINED MY LIFE. Where can I start? I will start from when it started to cause me anxiety and stress. Constant bookwork checks, constant stress. I refuse to use this app any further. Do not let your teacher assign this to you. Ever since my life has been slowly ruined. I dread every Wednesday waking up knowing to my absolute horror that the torturous, disgusting and repulsive homework replenishes. this is the very thing that made me fear school. Thanks to this website, I walked to school every day trying not to have a panic attack and bolt home.

Mandatory 100% Completion

Mandatory 100% Completion: Unlike many other platforms, Sparx often requires students to get every single question correct to finish their homework. If you get a question wrong multiple times, the system may force you to start a new, similar question from scratch, which many find repetitive and frustrating.
Bookwork Checks: This feature requires students to write down specific codes and their working out in a physical book. The system then randomly tests them on these codes. Students frequently find this process "hellish" and a major waste of time if they forget to write one down.
Unskippable Videos: To prevent cheating or rushing, Sparx often forces students to watch instructional videos that cannot be skipped. Users report these videos can be unhelpful, patronising, or unrelated to the specific difficulty they are facing.
Time-Consuming and Stressful: Many students report that homework which should take an hour often stretches to two or more due to glitches or "XP Boost" questions that increase in difficulty. This has led to claims that it negatively impacts student mental health.
Rigid Answer Input: The system can be extremely pedantic about how answers are typed, especially with algebra or complex symbols. One small error in formatting can result in the re question being marked wrong.
Lack of Learning from Mistakes: Reviewers note that when you get an answer wrong, the platform doesn't always provide a clear explanation of why. Instead, it might just give you another similar question, which can lead to students feeling stuck or like they are "learning nothing".
Punishing Success: Because the platform is adaptive, getting questions right quickly often triggers the algorithm to set much harder work for the following week, which some students feel "punishes" them for being good at maths.

+12
Despite these criticisms, some independent research suggests that active engagement with the platform—rather than just time spent on it—is associated with better maths outcom

!!!END THE STRESS OF SPARX FROM SCHOOLS!!!

It is a form of mental stress and torture. I dislike that my school has made us do this. It is a form our school system has made us do to be robotic and forced to do what they want us to do. We SHOULD BE GIVEN FREEDOM. We must dominate the school system and disallow this to happen to our fellow peers. Our future generation. Sparx is something to be completed, not necessarily completed by you. BRING DOWN SPARX IN SCHOOL. Help me, help us to help you to help everyone. A hero is one for all, not all for one...
