I have been taking regular Brazilian Portuguese classes with Bárbara for more than 2 years now and she helped me starting from nothing to being able to have a conversation with my Brazilian side of the family. Bárbara not only helped me accomplish my goal but also made the journey of learning Brazilian Portuguese fun and personal along the way.
The classes are well-structured, and paced to your individual needs. They also combine grammar learning with insights into Brazilian culture.
I am glad I have found Speak Brazil and Bárbara, and I recommend taking classes with her.

She does a great job of making it feel personal even though it is online. It is a fun learning environment where she encourages and lightly challenges me to practice and speak.

I completed a two-week intensive online course with Speak Brazil, and it was excellent. The varied programme of specially devised material was very thoroughly prepared, with creativity and attention to detail. The course made good use of the possibilities offered by working online, including quizzes, presentations, music and video. A blend of interesting topics on Brazilian culture was cleverly linked to well-chosen language teaching points. The teachers, who worked very well together as a team, are highly professional, enthusiastic and lots of fun! I was a teacher of English as a foreign language for many years, which means I can be very critical, and from a professional perspective I can say the standard of teaching and material was very high. All in all, I thoroughly recommend Speak Brazil!

It’s been more than a year now with Speak Brazil. I recall the first class where I could not understand anything and how I ended up understanding everything after 30 hrs of online classes. Bárbara is very knowledgeable at teaching a language to foreigners. I am myself surprised at my progress and would highly recommend it to anyone. Plus I know a lot about Brazilian cultures since lots of songs and novelas are shared. Português is my third language and it was easier to grasp the language than it was for me when I learnt English. I take the online classes from my home in Saudi Arabia.

I would highly recommend the wonderful Barbara and Speak Brazil to anyone considering learning Brazilian Portuguese!
