Shocking Customer service from Speedway…

Shocking Customer service from Speedway Motorcycles,Cannock.
My 17 year old grandson decided he wanted a new Lexmoto bike after visiting Cannock and rang up to place a deposit without discussing it with his father. £1000 was taken for a bike valued at £2200. Two and a half hours passed before his father became aware and rang Speedway Motors to cancel. They initially stated there would be a charge of £100 for cancellation which went up to £200 two days later. They falsely stated the bike had been registered in this short period in order to justify the £200 fee, saying it would now have to be sold as a pre-registered bike. This story later changed and they also falsely stated the order was cancelled two days after the deposit was taken and not two and a half hours later.
I have tried to get this resolved amicably and have been dismissed by Speedway and my grandson has been falsely accused of fabricating information.
Lexmoto in Exeter initially showed interested in resolving the matter but then quickly washed their hands of it saying individual dealerships they work with are Independent businesses and not run by Lexmoto. So don’t expect any assistance from them under similar circumstances.
Looking at other reviews on this site, please don’t be swayed by Lexmoto’s follow up comments which appear to show a caring and understanding attitude, that is false and solely for the benefit of others who may be considering purchasing a Lexmoto motorcycle.
Whilst I accept my grandson, due to over-excitement, was exuberant and acted without discussing things further, I feel Speedway Motorcycles could have taken that into consideration instead of penalising that excitement and thinking “we’ve lost a sale here, lets at least get £200 out of it for doing nothing”.
Speedway Motorcycles have been extremely economical with the truth and manipulated the facts in an attempt to justify the £200 fee. Lexmoto (Exeter) have refused any responsibility. Would you risk spending hard earned money on buying a motorcycle from them?
I noticed a few reviews have been challenged and taken down? I ‘trust’ Trustpilot to allow this to stand as if not what is the point of posting a true review of your experience if the company can take it down if they don’t like it?
