I would be more than happy to take the time to address your concerns regarding the scanning of SpeedyPC Pro.

Some items return to your computer after being removed as part of normal operation.

Some files are in use by your system, but contain sensitive data. These files are set to be deleted when your computer restarts, and are then recreated without any personal information. These files will continue to show up in a scan until your computer is restarted, and they may show up again after that as they accumulate personal data.

Some files are routinely recreated as part of a program's operating procedure, so deleting the item clears saved data.

If you would like to place items on the ignore list so they will be skipped:

1. Scan with SpeedyPC Pro but do not fix items.
2. On the scan results page select the items you are seeing on repeated scans.
3. Click the Ignore button next to that item to place it on the Ignore list.
4. Continue fixing the scan results.

You should no longer see the items placed on the list in future scans.

The categories that you may continually find items in are listed below, with a description of what those categories look for. Please keep in mind, all the categories can be reviewed and adjusted under the Settings Tab within the program:

•System Problems

The System Problems category contains several different types of errors that may show on repeated scans. It can remove unused entries from your registry, or clear information from existing entries in your registry. These are frequently recreated as part of normal computer operation. Additionally making changes to some registry categories such as "Shared DLLs" requires restarting the computer before changes can be made, so multiple scans without a restart will show repeated items.

•Privacy Items

Files on your computer are constantly updated as you browse the web and use your computer online. Some files will be removed during every scan so that the files will be re-created without all the previous information.

•Junk Files

Some items under Junk Files cannot be removed while windows is running. You will need to restart your computer before the next scan to be rid of repeated items under Junk Files.

A few things you may wish to try, and this is dependant on where you are experiencing the slowness in performance, SpeedyPC Pro carries several tools you may wish to utilize.

If your computer is running slowly, we suggest you use the SpeedyPC Pro Startup Manager to stop programs you don't need running in the background, and the Disk Defrag tool to remove any fragmentation on your hard drive.

You can use SpeedyPC Pro to improve the startup speed of your PC by choosing which applications you want to run in the background when you start your computer.

Please Note: Some startup items are necessary for regular computer operations. It is recommended that you use caution when re-configuring the startup entries and consult our support team if you are unsure about a particular item. Please uncheck one item at a time to see how the change affects the functioning of your computer.

To Use the Startup Manager:

Click on the Tools tab in the SpeedyPC Pro window.
Click Startup Manager.
Review the items on the list. If you are unsure about any items, we recommend you look for information online

Note: There are user forums and manufacturer sites that give descriptions and advice on some startup items. Please only remove startup items you recognize and do not use regularly. Once you have determined which startup items you would like to disable, you can proceed.

After making any changes to your startup programs please reboot your computer so that your changes will take effect.

Uncheck any items you do not want running when your computer starts.

After removing any programs running on Startup and restarting your computer, you can try defragmenting your computer if it is still running slowly.

As you use your computer files can become “fragmented.” This means that the information contained in a file becomes stored across many different locations on your hard disk. SpeedyPC Pro’s defrag feature allows you to reverse this process to let your computer access files faster, and subsequently run faster.

To Defrag Your Computer:

From the main window click on the Tools tab.
Click on the Defrag button.
In the Defrag window select the hard drive you wish to scan. Most computers will only have one hard drive, Volume (C:\), which is selected by default.
Click Defragment.

Software stability

I've owned Speedy PC software for a few years now but have had issues since my annual subscription as renewed earlier this month. the software doesn't want to fix the issues its identified and therefore I fear will need to be reinstalled which is a hassle I can do without!

If the program is requesting further renewal, lets have you follow these steps first.

Please follow the instructions below to ensure your license key is showing the correct expiry date.

If the license key does not show the updated expiry date, we would like to ask that you reset your license key.

To reset your license key:

From the Main window, press the About button, please take note of your key from this page.

1. Click the Unlicense button located at the bottom of the window.
2. Click Yes and OK to temporarily remove your license key.
3. Re-enter your license key
4. Click Submit or OK.

You should now see the proper subscription date.
