SpellingCity is a fantastic program
SpellingCity is a fantastic program. You can enter your own words or use words from your reading series that are already entered for you! I enter vocabulary words from science, social studies, and even math so that students can learn the meaning through fun games. The games are engaging and educational. SpellingCity makes grading a snap! The most I have to do is put a sticker on the paper. Score! Love it! The company is great. If you have a question or problem they are quick to get back to you. They are constantly evolving and making improvements. The students LOVE it!

I love using SpellingCity!
I love using SpellingCity in my classroom. It helps students learn the words in a fun and exciting way. I assign their homework on spellingcity and it makes my job a bit easier. The only issue I have is, sometimes, their finished assignments do not show up and I have to check on "recent activity" to find it. Other than that, I love SpellingCity.

I have had my credit card debited for $39.95 but I am still having problems accessing data. I can log in as a parent but my son can't log in.
I have emailed your company and had less than satisfactory responses. I have repeatedly asked to be provided with a phone number when I call from Australia and have not been provided the phone number.

Make learning and teaching easier
I've been using Spelling City for about three years in Australia. This make my teaching more efficient since I have a composite class having two grade levels with students who are at least 3-5 different levels of spelling skills. The only 'negative' thing I came across every now and then was the word pronunciation with 'Strong American Accent' which a few of my Aussie students and/or parents complained about. I wish there's an Aussie/British version of this but overall my students get used to.
I'd like to have some of the Spelling City features improved in my 'teaching' perspective. It'd be nice to be able to print the overview of all the test results to see the progress. Also we've got pre-assessment and post-assessment on spelling words to compare how much students actually learnt over a week. On spelling city we can 'sort of' do it by repeating the spelling test but it doesn't have the feature where we can keep both results online, unless I keep a record of them manually in paper.

Innovative and Creative!
We love spelling city in our classroom. The children enjoy participating in the games and activities and they find it easy to use and manipulate with little adult supervision. The app is awesome

SpellingCity is brilliant
* easy to add, edit lists and students
* new games and features added and emails sent about these
* students are engaged (I have used SpellingCity with Kindergarten, and years 4 - 6
* programmes are supported - such as Words Their Way
* easy for even very young students to access at home and fun for them and their parents

Spelling City ticks all the boxes!
I love the ability to differentiate. My students complete a pretest, then make their own individual list of the words they got incorrect. Students practise these words through the week then complete a final test on Friday. It's an easy self-maintaining program.

Great Site
I have been a Premium Member of Spelling City now for 4 years and have found the site useful as part of my class teaching and also for homework. Spelling City has also allowed me to differentiate my spelling program with ease. I have been able to set up different lists for different students and also set more or less tasks for groups depending on their needs. Thank you Spelling City!

User friendly, worth the money
My kids have enjoyed Spelling City. Not only do they like the games but they are able to use spelling words along with definitions. I think their vocabulary has grown along with their spelling skills.

Spelling City is worth the money
I have used Spelling City for 2 years, and it is worth every penny. I can have multiple groups of students, I can assign activities and tests, and the best part is that the grading is done for me and grades are available as soon as the test is finished. I can even print out the results of the test, so parents can see which word(s) their child missed. I love that my spelling lists are saved, so I there is no need to recreate the lists each school year. Thanks Spelling City!

Spelling homework is so much easier!
I have used Spelling City for many years in both first grade and fourth grade. I use it as weekly homework with my fourth graders, giving them several choices of activities to choose from. My favorite activity is the weekly spelling tests that I don't have to grade! (I have a Premium account that my principal pays for.) How wonderful is that! My students tell me that using this site helps them with their touch typing skills...I assign the sentences and paragraphs as a homework option. I recommend this site to everyone. Thank you for a great product!

Some activites don't explaine what they are doing, and let them move on without being more accountable.
I use Spelling city for centers and spelling tests. I honestly don't know if the problem is on my side or theirs, but it glitches quite frequently. I don't have time to call and let them know. I wish they had techs playing these games to find, and fix any problems.
