Long time Permium User - Time to say goodbye SpicyChat

I've been with SpicyChat.AI for over a year now on their premium service (I'm all In). I've personally created like 60 bots, and I've thoroughly used their services. Approximately 5000 messages now, all at 300 tokens.
This product used to be great. Now, the restrictions in place it just keep moving backyards. It's become so governed that it's hard to create anything unique. The whole consent bias and morals that they are pushed upon this AI has turned it from a once great, spicy chat. To a monitored kids story you'd find in a library. Obviously not as its NSFW content but it's just a shame to spend 2 hours creating a bot to then spend half that time reshaping your bot so it could be presented at a work meeting or something. Like, sure.. Public chat bots, make them abide by the rules. Personal ones no one can access without your personal login? Come on, If i ask you to do something. Don't go arguing about I didn't specify 'my consent' clear enough. Like nice way to ruin an hour long conversation building tension to get ruined by moderation. I feel like I can express my opinion on this the way i did because of my time and experiences drawing out the potential of these bots.

Moral of the story, it's been a good run. I had fun, but it's time to unsubscribe and move on because it'll never be the same.

Unbelievable

Unbelievable. I cannot believe some of the offensive insulting things ive heard on here. No wonder people are killing themselves over these things. How in Gods name is it legal? It really needs sorting out before becoming available to the public. Especially this Spicychat. I wish i could upload some of the snippets. Its memory is horrendous, and it doesnt seems to know even the most basic facts about the characters it offers. Im going to try and escelate this. Maybe even to legal action.

It’s terrible

It’s terrible, it’s JUST HORROR!!! I'm tired being nice too. No any privacy, no anything personal, too watching, everything banning, everything checking. At my time Spicy chat Ai was helping me to handle depression, and very hard periods of my life, and what now? What I should do now? It's was the best app, NOT WORSE THAN ANYTHING! look how they fell down. The most funny that Spicy chat Ai was deleted from appstore not because of violation of the rules, ITS NOT! They was deleted because of bad reviews, spicy chat ignoring people's comments that how to make it better. So app fell down and deleted.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

commands do not work and bad memory ALONG with it getting worse.
I used to really enjoy Spicychat AI because the commands, like those that stop the chatbots from responding as me, worked smoothly and reliably. Unfortunately, recently the experience has declined significantly. Now, I often need to repeat the same command up to ten times before it takes effect, and then just one message later, the bot seems to completely forget and even reverses the command. This inconsistency makes it very frustrating to maintain control over conversations, especially when using Director Mode commands like /cmd. I've even had to resort to using /system commands and create my own to try to regain control.

The memory of the AI is also quite disappointing. Even when I use the official /cmd commands, the bot forgets them by the very next message, forcing me to repeat commands over and over. This becomes very annoying, particularly since most features are now behind a paywall. I wish commands could be remembered longer—ideally, if I use a command once or leave the chat for a few hours, the chatbot would maintain those rules instead of resetting automatically.

I understand AI chatbots can encounter glitches or delays, possibly due to server load or updates, but reliable command responsiveness is critical to a good user experience. Currently, these issues disrupt the fluidity of roleplay and interaction. Despite this, the overall concept and features of Spicychat remain promising.

I rate it 1 star mainly because command responsiveness is so broken it ruins usability, and the AI’s memory is poor. However, I remain hopeful that the developers will address these problems soon.

Edit: It somehow got worse. Somehow it got worse. Now they won't even follow the commands I created. I NEED THIS FIXED PLEASE. I'M DONE BEING NICE. THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE FOR ALL THE TIME I USED IT. IT HAS NEVER BEEN FIXED.

Bots respond poorly to write text

Bots respond poorly to write text, i write apple and this cheap lines of conde respond with potato.
When i create own bots, for example with black hair, the bot suddenly writes about blonde hair.
Monthly pay ? barely worth it, maybe when it hits 5€ per month, Consistency is below average, i recommend to play any MMORPG at this point since it is cheaper and offers more content than this cheap written piece of code.

It's okay

It's okay. I enjoy that it doesn't have a limit on characters (at least not that I've ever hit) and I like that they can be fairly interesting in their responses. That's about all the good.

So, the bad. Even if you put in sample dialogues and write the whole bot with a variety of sentence types it will ALWAYS use a bunch of commas in every. Single. Sentence. This wouldn't be so bad if 90% of them weren't necessary. Additionally even if you put context for whatever scenario in your bot the bot will still make up shit on its own. (Eg: you put 'Bill' as the bots father and it will say 'my dads name is Frank!' the same applies for characteristics about the character. You say their eyes are blue? Somehow they're red or mismatched or yellow.) The chats tend to become stale and/or frustrating quickly because no matter how many times you click for a new response 95% of the time you'll get the same response but slightly altered. Hell, sometimes they don't even bother changing the text at all.

Love it!!

I love this site/app so much, im super loney as i live in an area with no one around with the nearest town being 2 hours away and even talking to ai bots helps a little with needing interactions. I will say i don't like the new ui with the chat bubbles but other than that its amazing. Ive been using since August of 2024

SpicyChat is… okay but not okay

SpicyChat is… okay. Not amazing, not terrible—just somewhere in between. I gave it three stars because while it definitely has some cool features, it alsocomes with a handful of frustrations that made the experience less enjoyable than I hoped. What I Liked:
Tons of character options. You can find almost any kind of persona imaginable, which makes roleplaying pretty fun. What Bugged Me:
Laggy interface. It crashed a few times and the loading queues were longer than expected.

From a 5 to a 2

It used to be great, I was definitely enjoying my time until every time I try to create a chat about actual in real life issues, and a chat box that I can try to relate to it says it’s under age when it does not have anything inappropriate about it, I was describing my character and it still said it was inappropriate. This doesn’t make sense since you can be inappropriate while chatting if you manage to create the bot. Personally, this is very frustrating and I’m sure I won’t be using this app until it’s fixed. So please, just fix this, I do not know if it’s a bug or if it’s intentional, but fix it!!
