After years of literally trying to publish my children's books and receiving several denials due to not having a literary agent and other things, Spines have made this process so much easier. From start to finish, my team has been attentive and informative! Also, my production manager, Wardah N-Alshaib, has been the best!!! From every worry to every question, Wardah has been there to respond to my emails, even after normal business hours! I thank God for Wardah N-Alshaib, and Spines and the rest of the team! And NOW I get to see my hard work and creativity in print and on Amazon amongst other places! So...THANK YOU WARDAH AND SPINES!!!

Spines and my project manager Wardah were instrumental in helping me self publish my two books - Grandfather: A man yielded to God’s purpose; and, Gramps: Tell me a story. They are inspirational true adventures with many pictures for family, friends and book lovers on Amazon, Kindle, Kobo and Google Play. I have enjoyed my year membership with Spines.

Wardah was absolutely amazing to work with! She got everything complete in a very timely fashion walked me through everything so I knew what to expect, and she stayed in touch with me to keep me updated with everything!

Working with Spines has been a great experience. This is my first time independently publishing a book, though it’s my fifth book overall. My first two were with a major publisher, the next two with a mid-sized publisher, and now this one with Spines. Through this process, I’ve learned a lot about the differences between self-publishing and traditional publishing.
I chose self-publishing this time for the flexibility and efficiency it offers. Maria, my Spines account manager, and Andres, the formatting editor, were both proactive and incredibly helpful along the way. Their guidance made the process smooth and stress-free.
Overall, Spines has proven to be a trustworthy and easy-to-work-with publisher—well worth the upfront financial investment. One note of caution: while their AI audiobook option is impressive, it does require some detailed “proof-listening” after conversion to ensure quality.
All in all, I highly recommend Spines for authors looking for a reliable and professional self-publishing partner.

If you are not one to understand a lot of the technical issues that come with getting your book published, I strongly recommend you use Spines. I’m not blessed with understanding tech things at all! Spines literally took me by the hand and walked me through the process. Quickly getting back to me with instructions on how to proceed. Please do yourself a huge favor and go with Spines! Thanks to Yanina and her team for an A+ job. I can’t thank you enough!

In all of the 76 years I have spent on this Earth, I have worked with many people, but Spines has a great team working with me, keeping me encouraged, and doing excellent work getting my first book ready to publish. They are kind, patient, and have become a definite, "Light in the Darkness." I would recommend them to anyone looking for honest, reliable, and qualified team members who have become life-long friends.

I had an excellent experience working with the team at Spines. They are responsive and timely on their turnaround. I was hesitant in the beginning but they walk you through each phase step by step. The only area I worked in independently in the publishing process was my book cover. I went to an external designer but Spines was able to utilize what I provided without any issues. I Highly recommend using Spines.

I've worked with Wardah and Cecilia and they both have been responsive and helpful in turning my dream and my book into a reality. I'm about to go to print and I'm super excited to get some copies in my hands and see how their marketing process goes. Thanks, guys, for the great job you've done so far. Cheers!

I am writing this review to share my disappointing experience with Spines Publishing Company. I initially paid Spines to assist with publishing my book, trusting that they would provide professional and reliable service. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
Not only did I receive no sales reports or updates for one of my published books, but I also paid for an additional service to have my manuscript uploaded into a Microsoft Word document. When the document was delivered, I discovered that two chapters at the end were completely missing.
I contacted Ivana Arborio, the account manager, I had been working with, and requested that the missing chapters be added, a simple correction that should have been covered by the services I had already paid for. However, because I had canceled my subscription due to dissatisfaction with their services, she refused to provide the correction, even though the error occurred while I was still an active client.
In my opinion, this company is unprofessional and lacks integrity. Spines Publishing does not seem to value its customers, nor does it honor commitments made to those who have already paid for services. I would strongly caution any writer or author to think twice before trusting this company with their work.

This was my first book and not knowing what I was getting into, the account manager Natalia and my proof reader which went over my book with me several times and explaining things to me , were both so helpful and patient, Sincerely Mark Finger.

If you enjoy paying $1,566.60 for a masterclass in disappointment, Spines Publishing is your place.
I paid them on July 1, 2025, believing I was buying professional publishing services: editing, design, marketing, distribution, and “proprietary AI-generated illustrations with human oversight.” Sounds impressive, right? Turns out, the “human oversight” part must’ve been a typo.
What I got was AI-generated slop so bad it made free public tools look like masterpiece. I seriously obtained better results just pressing buttons on chat gpt within a fraction of time. The difference between what they advertised and what I received belongs in one of those “what I ordered vs. what I got” posts, the kind you laugh at online until you realize you’re living it.
No contract before payment. I was told to “activate my account” through their website, where they describe the terms in a way that's vague at best. And of course, a mysterious annual membership fee popped up like an unwanted sequel, that was not discussed during the phone calls with the reps.
Design team? I spoke to Samuel (sales rep) and Elizardo (account manager). Neither could name a single designer. No video calls, no introductions, no actual people. At this point, I’m convinced the “team” is just Elizardo pushing buttons on a knockoff chatbot somewhere.
Copyrights? They swore everything was “copyright protected.” Fun fact: under U.S. law, AI-generated content without significant human input can’t be copyrighted. So that’s another lie.
Communication? Imagine shouting into a canyon and hearing your own echo say, “We appreciate your patience.” That was the entire 1.5-month “collaboration.”
Refund? I asked to terminate the project and get my money back. They said sure. And then vanished like a magician’s assistant.
When the silence set in, I filed a chargeback with my credit card company. Spines fought it tooth and nail, claiming I “knew what I was purchasing.” Four months later, the bank sided with me — because, shocker, evidence matters.
I’ve since filed a formal FTC complaint for deceptive business practices and kept every scrap of documentation: receipts, emails, their laughable mockups, and screenshots of their bogus copyright claims. Because at this point, it’s not just about me — it’s about protecting other writers.
TL;DR:
If you like broken promises, ghosted emails, and AI “art” that looks like it was drawn during a power outage, Spines Publishing is for you. For everyone else: avoid them like the plague. Cheers.

I have published with another company. I wanted to see what other companies offered. Spines was head and shoulders above the others in what they offered so I took a chance. Their staff is exceptional. I knew for the first interaction with Stephanie, my publishing consultant that they had their act together. Their dashboard for the process is amazing and easy to understand. Yanina, my account manager, was helpful and patient. She got back to me very quickly when I had a concern or question. Melina, who did my editing and formatting is the best! Just a very professional team. Spines use of AI is ahead of all others and it is reflected in their ability to offer so much for a great price.
