This site is a total joke. The "renters" don't respond and neither does their "customer service" ......total waste of time.

Information provided by various external sources

How it works for people listing: 1) Members easily sign up through our web platform, iOS app, or Android app. 2) They list their bicycles, skis, snowboards, SUPs, or surfboards with real photos, to rent to likeminded people worldwide. They set their own price, which they can also adjust per rental. 3) Users searching for equipment in their area request to rent for specified days and times. Listers can easily turn down an offer if the agreement doesn’t work for them. 4) Money is transferred securely prior to pick up, eliminating any uncomfortable conversations or non-payment. 5) Every bike listed is insured up to $5,000, skis/snowboards $1,000, and SUPs/surfboards $2,000 against theft or damage, making the experience completely safe for every person listing their gear. Both renters and listers can review each other and become verified through Facebook, Twitter, and cell phone. How it works for the renter: 1) Users search for bikes, skis, snowboards, SUPs, or surfboards in the area they wish to rent. 2) They view the equipment available in that area and make a request to rent the ride. 3) There is an in-app chat feature allowing both parties to communicate about price, components, verifications, reviews, etc. Once the lister decides they will rent the equipment to the person requesting, they “confirm” the request. 4) Renter pays for the rental and picks up their equipment at the negotiated time and place.

Simple platform enables seamless renting of bikes.

Spinlister is a great, simple platform that allows you to quickly and easily rent your bicycle (or other gear) to others. All the renters I've had have been easy to work with, and I've been paid on time. Highly recommend it!

Spinlister is a great service!

I was very glad that a service like Spinlister exists. It showed me multiple of bike options over the period and area of my search and the experience was flawless.
I would use it again and strongly recommend it.

Highlighter Yellow

My host was great. Spinlister was great. My time in Chicago was a wonderful experience—one that I couldn't have had without Spinlister. Chicago does have its Divvy bikeshare, but with Spinlister, I didn't have to worry about checking my bike in every thirty minutes or hour.

Great site, even better initiative.

I must say that I love the concept of the site, and the fact that I can rent a cool bike to experience the city's in the best possible way. Hopefully more people will use this application more frequently in my city also.

Excellent Experience

I have used Spinlister a couple of occasions and have felt it to be a hugely beneficial service. I would however like to see more coverage in Europe.

I've rented out my bicycle on Spinlister and once I got someone to rent it, everything went completely smoothly. After my bike was returned I. Received prompt payment to my account (or PayPal, I don't remember) and was very satisfied!

Great Bike, Great Guy

Spinlister helped me find a great bike in the area I was traveling, and the owner was fabulous. It was more convenient and much cheaper than renting from a commercial business, and the bike was nicer than anything I was likely to find otherwise. I was very pleased

Spin your choice of rides

Spinlister is the AirBnB of quality sports gear rentals. I've used this service for the flexibility over rental shops for bicycles and surfboards and had an excellent experience every time. Oh, and it's cheaper than retail rental shops, all the more reason to give it a try.

Great Service! Be sure to screen your renters.

Some renters can be flaky or demand too much. Don't bend over backwards for a rental (one person expected me to drive for over an hour to deliver the bikes to a hotel). Other renters are great and completely painless, and these are the majority. Spinlister is great, especially if you live in a densely populated area. Out in the suburbs, it can be a challenge occasionally.

Great service

I have rented my bike to eight different people. It has given me a little extra to pay bills and my bike has come back in great condition each time. Service is easy to use and it's a great community.
